They do regular live music and also the dreaded kareoke but after a couple of monster spirit measures you'll soon get into the swing of things!! The owner's are always warm and friendly, and they make a mean pizza, definitely the best in Mazarron. It's really relaxed during the day, a great place to stop a grab a quiet soft drink and sit out the front patio watching the sea. An interesting mix of Spanish and English decor with some cool gold discs hanging on the walls add to the muso vibe in here and more to the point they sell ice cream - which is just what you need in the hot Spanish sun!! Definitely worth a look if you're in the area as some of the bars further into the port really aren't as friendly at all, this has the best atmosphere of them all whether it's lively or relaxed that you're after, just pick your time of day! And it's a stones throw from the beach so you can have a drink and then go for a quick paddle! Lovely stuff, I'll definitely seek it out again.

My friend happened to mention that it was my birthday to the waitress and they brought my food out with a candle in it and the whole restaurant sang happy birthday to me! I think that was such a special thing to do just from a comment made to the waitress, the kind of personal touch that is very impressive! The market tavern is very highly recommended by me and I will definitely visit again!

The venue has three floors with a DJ and the main bar on the first, a pool table and bathrooms on the second, and a large dance floor, bar, and stage on the third floor. During the week they throw themed parties and hold events, such as a weekly beer pong tournament. While you probably did not go to Spain to play beer pong, the tournament is incredibly popular and a great chance to meet locals and other studying abroad students from around the world. While the place is not always the cleanest (especially on weekend nights) the prices are extremely reasonable. The staff is a mix of locals and foreigners who are very friendly and make you feel like a regular. It's a great spot, check it out!
