When I brought it back, instead of offering to replace it, they sharpened it down even further, now my knife is 1/2"-3/4" smaller than it used to be. When I asked them to just replace it, they pointed to the sign in the corner that said something I the effect of: if we ruin your belongings, we'll give you your money back. Which they did, $8.50 for a ruined $175 knife. And it wasn't the only knife I brought in that day, the rest came back kinda sharp but with burs in the blades. Crappy knife sharpeners and even crappier at the business of owning up to a mistake. Go at your own risk!

In fact, I'm not sure it was ever sharpened and was so dull it had become child proof. I also had a little paring knife, which I had dropped several months back and the tip broke off so that was going to get repaired and sharpened. As it explained on the website it there are various drop off points, but it is easiest for me just to go directly to his home location in Paramus. I pulled up and handed over my knives. The next morning, my knives were ready for pick up. I got a fair warning to be very careful as they would be extremely sharp and many don't realize until it's too late. I was so excited to use my knives that I immediately took out a tomato which I had not been able to slice without lots of pressure and a mess for a long time. I couldn't believe the ease of slicing through. I didn't have to apply any pressure and had a beautiful sliced piece. I did end up with a tiny cut on my thumb, even after Enrico's thoughtful warning, but it was so worth it to have these amazing sharp knives. Also for reference he charges by the length of the knife so for my two knives and the tip being repaired, it was only $14.50. Well worth it. Highly highly recommend.

I was visiting my parents in Central NJ and again found myself struggling to cook efficiently because all their knives are incredibly dull. While they have high quality knives, the blades haven't been sharpened in ages. I searched high and low for a local knife sharpener but came up empty handed. Then I found Frank. I was going to be in South Jersey for a wedding and visiting Philly as well so I figured I could swing by at some point. Because my schedule kept changing, I ended up having multiple conversations with Frank to find a time that would work for both of us. Despite his shop being closed, he let me come by on a Sunday after 5pm. Talk about incredible service! Frank's shop has all kinds of cool local woodwork, handicrafts, and signs to browse while you wait the few minutes for your knives to be ready. He also has an adorable, friendly pup named Brandon.
