I needed some furniture and a few other items removed from my house and thought I'd give The Junk Wizards a try. Best decision ever. I contacted Justin on Yelp for a quote and was surprised how reasonable his price was. He was also able to come by in two days, which worked with my crazy work schedule. On the day of service, he kept in communication when he was going to be a little late and showed up at the later time when he said he would. Getting my large sofas out of my house proved to be a bit of a difficult task, but Justin went above and beyond and made it happen. I reached out to Junk Wizards for a quote through Yelp and Justin quickly provided me with a very affordable / reasonable quote for my project after sending him some photos of the junk and trash I needed to be hauled away from my family's back yard. I didn't hear back from him for a few days re: firming up an appointment time through Yelp (but figured the messages may not have been getting to him since I've missed a few on here myself) and decided to follow-up with him over the phone to discuss. He was really nice about the whole thing (apologized for not seeing my Yelp messages) and was able to schedule a last minute appointment with me that same day. When Nate arrived to work on the project, his large hauling truck couldn't fit in our narrow driveway, so he parked it just outside the entrance and had to walk the junk out from our back yard down the driveway to his truck for each haul. He was super friendly, thoughtful, polite, worked incredibly fast given how much junk he had to haul all by himself, and he finished off the job by taking some time to sweep the area clean at the end! I had a recent construction project going on and we had a bunch of wood pieces, debris from the construction and boxes that we needed cleaned up. We had too much stuff for us to be putting in our trash can so we needed a service to help us out. I originally contacted 1-800-Junk and they were ridiculously over priced. They came and told us it would be 800 dollars for the removal, isn't that insane!? I contacted a few other numbers i found on google and the lowest i got was 600. Finally i came onto yelp, which is what i should have done originally, and found a bunch of local businesses who provide junk removal services for affordable and reasonable pricing. I messaged a couple different businesses, all responded with good prices, but Junk Wizard stood out the most for me and after reading reviews i knew i wanted to book them! Junk Wizard did an AMAZING job. The situation for the path and parking they needed to take for the removal was a little tricky but they made it work and i'm so appreciative for that!! The two were super nice and friendly, and showed up a little early which i was happy about and got right to work. I had a little extra junk we added the night before for them to dispose and they were happy to take it and we worked out a reasonable price for the new stuff we added. I have never needed a junk service before but needed to basically empty my ailing mother's entire apartment. I only tried two companies - 1800GotJunk and Junk Wizards. Justin, the CEO/Owner called me back to schedule a bid. He came out personally to my mother's place and gave me a quote. The quote was, honestly, so low based on what I was dealing with that I was maybe a little hesitant. He basically said that he wanted to earn my business and that he and his crew liked to work hard. He said that if I wanted to pay anything above the quote when they were done that would be up to me. I hadn't gotten a quote from GotJunk yet, but he said he knew he'd have them beat, which he surely did. GotJunk wanted nearly more than TWICE the quote from Junk Wizards!!! (As an aside, the GotJunk scam is simple: They quote you for pickup by the truck load... but their trucks are small! If it gives you a better sense of things, it would have taken two full loads in their trucks to do what Justin and his crew did in one). GotJunk charged over $800 for one truck load. Justin showed up on collection day and carted everything away over the course of about 2 and a half hours. They were courteous, professional and got it done for an amazing price point. I cannot recommend Justin and his team more highly. Also? He mentioned that he's in negotiations to purchase a fleet of electric trucks for his company - something I love.
