You do have to make sure the clothes are freshly dry-cleaned / laundered, ironed, on hangers, not more than 5 years old, and suitable for wearing to job interviews since most clients go straight to interviews. Dress for Success is a nonprofit organization, dedicated to empowering women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. It has helped over 13,000 women make transitions to thriving lives of self-sufficiency. It offers long-lasting solutions that enable women to break the cycle of poverty. Besides physically equipping clients with apparel and accessories, their programs furnish them with a confidence and knowledge that they can actively define their lives. Each client receives a fitting for job interviewing and receives an assessment to determine proper placement in their Career Development Programs. No fees are ever charged to utilize their services. The items they accept are: interview appropriate suits; blouses; tops; professional separates including slacks, skirts, dresses, blazers and jackets; pant or skirt suits; work appropriate shoes; jewelry, scarves, belts; handbags (briefcases, portfolios or work appropriate handbag), unopened pantyhose & knee-highs & cosmetics; coats, raincoats, jackets, gloves and hats seasonally. All donations are tax deductible.

It envisions a city where all individuals and families achieve their full human potential.They have a great job posting bank for all their partner agencies and are constantly working on a project requiring volunteers. The UW in Tulsa has been around for almost 100 years. They have raised more than $799 million for the community throughout their history. In their 2018 campaign, they raised over 25 million. Over 56% of all financial support to the Tulsa Area United Way comes from individuals and have more donors on a per-capita basis than most UW organizations. A single gift, no matter how small or large, can directly and broadly impact the lives of our community. It has also received a perfect four-star rating from Charity Navigator, one of the nation's most respected non-profit ratings agencies. They serve tens of thousands of people through 59 partner agencies in six counties of the Tulsa region. Their service area includes Tulsa, Creek, Okmulgee, Osage, Rogers and Wagoner counties. The Tulsa Area United Way is the 30th largest (in terms of dollars raised) of all 1,200 United Ways in the U.S. (Tulsa is the 60th largest city in the U.S.) A 2016 study revealed an annual economic impact of more than $275 million in the Tulsa area. For every dollar contributed to the local United Way, its partner agencies were able to leverage an additional $15 from other resources. The study also showed that the investment in its partner agencies directly and indirectly support 5,580 jobs in the community. The United Way's investments also generate more than $7 million in tax revenue for the state and community.

They offer programs to parents that increase their skills, employability and earning potential. CAP is nationally recognized as a model for this method. CAP is one of the largest anti-poverty agencies in Oklahoma. They believe every family and child deserves the same opportunity for success. They accomplish this by empowering low-income families with education, tools, support and guidance they need to break the cycle of poverty. As an employer, The Nonprofit Times named CAP as one of the "Best Places to Work" in 2016. This is the second consecutive year it has made the list. It ranked 19 overall and 3rd in the list of Large Nonprofits. I have worked here for half a year and I absolutely love it. The leadership is inspiring and receptive, the work environment is the best I've ever had and the actual services we provide are invaluable in our community.

I was here earlier today to enroll my 3 year old son and 4 year old daughter. The staff was very…read morenice and I didn't have to wait long at all. They called my name within 5 mins and took my documents and interviewed me. I was in and out of there within an hour. They even have little computer workstations for the kids to use so they are bored during the interview. There is a waiting list bc of limited space, but they are enrolling throughout the entire year. You can enroll your children from ages 6 weeks to 5 years and it has no cost to you!
