I visited last week and have been back twice. I'd heard about this company from friends and family and received an inexpensive introductory offer. Upon arrival, my son and I completed some forms and were seen fairly quickly. The front desk staff has been friendly and informative. Two doctors have treated me. They have both made me feel comfortable. I've been informed of what they're doing and why. They explained my issues and how I could care for myself at home with stretches and ice. One of the doctors also recommended an inexpensive pillow I could use at work to provide comfort and prevent further issues. The hours are good and I like that they're open seven days a week, too. I didn't feel pressured to buy their monthly plans. It seems they were conservative with my treatment recommendations. Thus, I didn't feel taken advantage of. I've been putting off my routine appointments due to the current situation and overall wanting to avoid any contact. My neck and back got bad and decided to check it out. The location for the most part has always been spotless and the chairs were always wiped. That hasn't changed and they've stepped it up. More thorough cleanings, the doc has a full respirator and waiting areas are all spaced out. There are hand sanitizer stations and the doc at the time practically bathed in it. I'll definitely be back and feel more comfort in doing so. read more

I have been coming here for just over a month and I like the ability to come in and get adjusted whenever I want. However, on two separate occasions I have had 2 bad adjustments that messed me up. The first time the chiropractor did a weird adjustment to my neck and he only did the adjustment to one side. At the time I didn't think anything of it. Then over the next week I started developing a radiating pain behind my ear along my neck right where he did the adjustment. But I ignored it because every year my ears get clogged because of allergies so I went to the doctor and they told me my ears were clear. So I looked up what causes radiating pain where I was feeling it and it literally said a pinched nerve. So I went back and had another chiropractor adjustment and almost immediately after she adjusted my neck I felt relief and the pain started to dissipate. It's unbelievable that an adjustment can do that. Then this past Saturday I came in to get adjusted and there was a temporary chiropractor on duty because their regular chiropractors were out. Right away after he adjusted my neck I could tell it was a bad adjustment. So I came back today and told the front desk lady what happened and she seemingly didn't care but then again not much she can do. She told me to have a seat and I asked if I was going to have an adjustment deducted from my account to fix what the other chiropractor did and she said "yes" I think that is pretty poor customer service that they would deduct an adjustment from my account to fix a bad adjustment that one of their chiropractors did. Not sure what to do because I like the convenience of this place and 2 of the female chiropractors but I can't accept poor customer service and it could have easily been corrected by not deducting my account for 1 adjustment. read more

Has anyone else run into a similar issue? I've been "Medicare eligible" for the past 18 months and am still working (I use my work insurance when needed). For the same 18 months I've gone to The Joint for chiropractic care. They take NO INSURANCE, including Medicare. I pay automatically each month; it's deducted from my FSA card. I like their doctors, the location is convenient, and I get a veterans discount. A few weeks ago, as I was face down on the table, I was told they can't provide services for me anymore unless I fill out a Medicare form. I told them I'm not on Medicare, I've prepaid each month, and they don't take insurance. They have my money, I was denied service. (The money isn't the issue; the age discrimination and possible Medicare fraud is.) I looked up the form they tried to get me to sign. CMS says it's optional. I do not want to be party to possible fraud. The manager of the Ocotillo facility claimed it's their policy (to have "Medicare eligible" clients sign the form) and referred me to corporate who has yet to respond to my inquiry. read more

I read through all the negative reviews and wonder if these people are confusing this location with another one or are just complaining in attempt to get something free. Went here yesterday for my first chiropractor visit ever! Ok, full disclosure, I am one of the people who have said non-approving things about chiropractors in the past(nice way of putting it!). I found my visit to be quite enjoyable. It was a very relaxing, calming experience. I particularly enjoyed that the chiropractor talked me through everything. I went in with a lot of pain and left with a lot less. Worth the visit! I totally would have given them 5 stars but while I was having my adjustments. I could hear a lady explaining that her daughter was away at Uni, she was being billed for her monthly charge, and the mom wanted to stop it. The receptionist went into what I hope is rogue sells mode and kept trying to talk her into keeping it even though her daughters Uni is in another state. Hearing how ridiculous this whole situation was, didn't allow me to relax as much as I think I needed to. They suggested that I come for more and I will but was very reluctant to sign up for their monthly plan because of what I heard. read more

I've been here one time and the Chiropractor that I saw was great in that she took the time to talk with me and hear me out about the issues and pain I was experience. She reassured me that she would go over my problem areas more throughly That being said when the it came to doing the adjustment she just did the "normal" adjustment as if I had only needed an alignment. It was so fast and she did not pay any "special" attention to the many areas I am having issues with. I told her about 5 areas specifically and she just passed over them. Then, she walked me to the receptionist desk (which was nice) but then she whispers to the receptionist to put me on their "wellness plan". The chiropractor and I never talked about wellness plans at all let alone that I wanted to sign up for it, so for her to sneakily whisper that was shocking. This to me was so rude and it made it very clear to me that this place is only after money and they do not treat the patient with an individualize treatment. It's obviously that this place is a chain and they want to get you out of there as fast as possible. Total waste of money. read more

Worse experience DO NOT go there! A year after I saw him one time and they are still saying I owe money because their front desk person screwed up. The guys a bone cruncher! I told them please don't crack my neck and what's the first thing he did was crack my neck. On top of that he gave me a bunch of stuff I didn't need and charged my insurance company. I just received a phone call telling me I owe another $250. I only saw him once!!! Literally the worse experience I've ever had with a chiropractor! It will haunt you for ever! ***edit I 100% never signed up for your membership! Unless you did it without my permission. I was disgusted by the appointment before I even left! The add on was some electric machine for injury. Insurance was suppose to pay for it. Pleasantly surprised at how streamlined the process is for new patients. Called before visiting and the front desk emailed me the paperwork so I could have it already filled out when I visit during my 1 hour lunch break (to help speed up the process). Their slogan should be "get in, get out and get on with your day." Much appreciates this place offers no frills and is kind of the cattle-call of chiropractic. Having visited other chiropractors in the past, I've often felt like I've had to lie to them about why I'm not signing up for one of their packages...heck, I just needed a "one and done" adjustment. Didn't have to do that at The Joint. There is no pressure to sign up, even though I did. The initial visit was $29 or if you sign up for a wellness plan, it's $60, which includes 3 more visits for the month. If I needed extra adjustments during the month, it's only $10 bucks. They did have me sign up for 2 months ($120 bucks), still a bargain in my opinion. The nice part is, I can go to any Joint location and not just married to one particular location. Also, when you check in, you just scan your key chain club card (like you get at the supermarkets), the only paperwork was during my first visit. I was a bit apprehensive about not being able to make an appointment, but this place has the process down to a science and even though I had 4 people in front of me, I only waited about 15 mins. The front desk was nice and we chatted for a bit, which helped the time pass more quickly. My only criticism is that since it's a quick in/quick out, I find it hard to get fully relaxed in just a few minutes time for the doctor to really get in there and crack me fully without me tensing up on him. read more

I really wanted to like this place. It's much closer than the chiropractor I've been using. I liked my chiropractor, but it's just incredibly hard to get to the office after work fighting traffic on the US 60. The Joint is so much more convenient. I've been in chiropractic care for the better part of 30 years now. I've been to numerous practitioners over that time. Some were absolutely dreadful, some were neutral, and one or two were really good. So I gave The Joint a chance, having done four visits before writing this review. First, the staff is very nice. I don't doubt for a moment that they actually did care and wanted to alleviate my issues. But they were unable to do so. At most I would get a few hours of relief and then the pain would creep in. My last visit I can't even say that. I experienced little relief, and then a NEW pain appeared. A very severe pain, far worse than what I had before. I relented and went back to my previous chiropractor, dealing with the traffic and long drive. She said my "L4" was out, adjusted me, and relief began almost immediately. It's been a full day now, and it's not perfect, but it's a lot better. I will need another visit to finish this off, but I think it is an illustration of the difference. So I cannot recommend The Joint. While they exhibited concern and empathy, they didn't really exhibit competence at producing positive results. And that ultimately is the whole point of chiropractic care. I can recommend my other chiropractor if you live near her office, or are willing to fight the US 60 to get there. read more

Not sure how as a business it is okay to refuse to refund a service that I never received. I've been with the joint for years but since I started coming to the Ocotillo location, I've has nothing but issues. Last month I chose to cancel or freeze my membership. I'm working with another doctor and cannot afford to do both services., it is also a conflict to do them both together. Even though I explained and sent over my membership cancel form, I was still charged $69 for my membership. I explained that I can't work this chiropractor the same time as my other doctor, that's why I wanted to cancel! Why am I being charged and refused a refund when I can't receive services. I will NEVER go back to this joint. Terrible customer service and lack of consideration for other people's situations. read more

I went the other day to find out that because I am an ER Nurse, I was not allowed to be seen. I am pulling extra shifts, breaking my back to save lives and then I was turned away because I am an ER Nurse and may have come in contact with sick patients. If you're open, you should be open to all, as long as they are asymptomatic. Everyone that goes in there, that is walking around Walmart or Costco, etc... has been around someone who might be sick! On Yelp it is difficult to review poor customer service by the front desk staff, while giving adequate appreciation to providers. Since I was not able to connect with management via the phone or email, I'm left with no alternative. My first visit was Sunday at 3:30 pm (1.5 hours prior to close). I have never been to a chiropractor before, but after some pretty excruciating lower back pain I was desperate. When I walked in the front door, I introduced myself and was abruptly notified that I presented too late to be seen. The young lady at the front desk said, "no new clients this close to closing." I asked if I could complete the new client paperwork and come back first in the morning the next day. Her response..."I'll give it to you, but I won't take it b/c I might accidentally shred it."When I returned the next morning, before even being greeted, she blurted out, "our systems are down nationwide, we can't see you today." When I pressed and asked if I could go to another location, she said, "no, nobody is seeing new patients with our computers down." Due to the intensity of pain I was experiencing, I called some other Joint locations and the Tempe location (Baseline and Rural) said they were seeing new clients. The experience at the Tempe location was like night and day...completely welcoming and easy. The front desk staff allowed me to turn in my paperwork, collected my credit card information and advised that when the system was back up and running, she would send me the receipt via email. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and feeling immensely better. The chiropractor was kind, informative and treated the cause of the discomfort. As a medical professional, I know how important it is for clients to feel welcomed and heard. I called the Chandler location after the incident requesting to speak to the clinic manager. The young lady who was the front desk staff that I originally encountered said she WAS the manager. I asked for the name of her supervisor and she said she IS her supervisor. She apologized for the inconvenience I experienced the day before and refused to provide the name or contact for anyone other than herself. ‍ read more

My husband and I stoped at this location last Saturday on our way home instead of going to our local joint which has always been great. There was one other patient before us abs the doctor saw him quickly. The lady at the front desk check my husband in quickly but turned me away because I needed to fill out paperwork and she said there wasn't time for the doctor to go over it because they were busy and had only one doctor in. Not a problem except I sat there while my husband was adjusted and no one else had come in to be seen after us. Once my husband was done we sat in that car for an additional 15 minutes trying to decide what to have for lunch and no one walked in. I easily could have filled out paperwork and seen the doctor in that amount of time. The walk ins welcome definitely does not apply to this location. read more

I have to take a minute to not only compliment The Joint as a refreshing approach to chiropractic care but to applaud the fine folks working at this location in particular. If you are unfamiliar with the concept, The Joint is a "club style" setup where you pay a monthly fee ($49) and you get a certain number of visits per month (4). You can make additional visits in a month for a small fee and you get discounts for adding family members. No, they don't take insurance but honestly this is a good thing. Unless you have the platinum insurance plan, you very likely only get four or six or some very small number of covered visits in a year. This takes the hassle of insurance and co-pays right out of the picture. Plus, you walk in with no appointment and rarely need to wait more than 5 minutes. Super convenient! Yes, you can get a lot of major pains taken care of in a few visits to most chiropractors but the benefits of going on a regular basis (like weekly) are incredibly positive. That's what makes this setup very appealing to me. Specifically at this location, I wanted to applaud Dr. Emeliah. Do not be fooled by her small size - she is incredibly strong and knows exactly how to leverage that strength to make you feel better. The front desk staff are super friendly as well. Dr. Hanson is one of the top chiropractors I have ever been to. She is very compassionate and really spends time working and finding all the things that are wrong. It never fails when my headaches or back aches she diagnoses it without me even saying and pops everything back into place. And she always follows up with some stretching, muscle pressure or massage to set everything. What I love most is it's all walk-in and no insurance. My insurance copay for chiro is $35 and the Joint only charges $29 per visit or better yet, I buy a group of 10 at once at a discount so it's even easier to prepay and just stop in anytime. Great concept, great doctors. I started at the Scottsdale location and hear from friends that the Camelback location is super too. So far 3/3! read more

I have used this location out of convenience as it is somewhat on my way home from my Martial Arts studio and for the most part, it has been a decent substitute for my "close to home" and "close to the office" locations. Doctors are usually pretty good, friendly, professional. Only once (before today) in the last 8 months have I felt "unwelcome" here. That was when the secretary / receptionist was a little rude to me and my children (who know the drill, they're ALWAYS respectful when joining me for an adjustment) and it was when we arrived close to close time, around 6:50 that day. Sometimes I am in and out within 7 minutes or so, depending on the wait. Today, I checked hours (normal even though it's an "observed holiday" because it's the Monday after a holiday). I arrived at 6:58pm, (it's not ideal but it is a chiropractor's office that offers relief to people in pain!) and the door was locked. I looked in and there was someone behind the desk at the computer. I smiled, waved and then looked at my watch, which just turned 6:59. Yikes, I felt bad but even though the gal at the front desk saw me she didn't acknowledge me, say "sorry!" or come to the door to let me know what was up. She was talking, likely to the doctor or someone on the other side of the wall. I waited a couple of minutes, maybe she was asking the doctor if they'd take me? I've been a member since 2011, I visit 2-5 days a week and have really appreciated the convenience of various locations. I have had other locations offer a lot more grace and was really disappointed at this location (twice now), enough to leave a review. Nope, this location is not so flexible/empathetic. read more

I had trouble looking all over Chandler for a good chiropractor. After a few disappointing experiences elsewhere, I went to the joint after finding it online. The receptionist was extremely friendly on the phone and upon arrival. After filling out some paperwork, I was immediately taken back to be adjusted. The doc looked over my paperwork and found my problem areas, fixed them, and I was on my way. I have right hip pain, and she used a technique of pulling on my leg (no joke) to realign my hips.
