I answered only to find out it was the same person that had called before that I had blocked because of the above mentioned text message. My second thought was is this activity criminal? I just want to make people aware of the way this particular practice has treated me. About two weeks ago, I tore my latissimus dorsi muscle thanks to a hard, sudden lurch while riding on the 1 train. The pain on the left side of my back was unbelievable, so much so that I had trouble even breathing because of the body movement it involved. After a week of recovery which included muscle relaxants, I had to go back to work. Immediately, the pain was incapacitating. I asked Dr. Suzanne McBride if she could see me (stat!), and she gave me a therapeutic massage which also included a network treatment and reflexology work. When I entered the office I could barely walk and, amazingly, I have been 99% pain free for almost a week since seeing her. In addition to the skill and beautiful intention which is abundant in her network chiropractic practice, Suzanne is also a trained (and gifted) massage therapist, and she studied reflexology in China. Pressing down on herniated disc -- Dr. Teimouri assured me that I did not have disc problems and then proceeded to press down between my shoulders. An mri later found that I have a herniated disc precisely there. I think the lesson here is to make sure you have an accurate diagnosis with an orthopedic dr before proceeding with chiropractic care. 2. Unprofessional and pushy -- they strongly discouraged me from seeing a physical therapist at all for a few weeks. Thankfully I went to see a physical therapist anyways who accurately predicted that I have a disc issue. When I called suntree chiropractic to let them know that I wanted to discontinue my care until I had an mri, Tricia Gray was very unprofessional and snippy. She didn't even let me talk and just lectured me about how physical therapy was going to make me worse and that other chiropractors would worsen my problem. I was planning to return, but they lost a client because of her behavior. Thankfully she was wrong and physical therapy has eliminated most of my pain and I continue improving. They were also a couple other issues that gave me the impression that they lacked professionalism. Bottom line, I personally did not feel comfortable here. The doctor was aware I had reached my out of pocket maximum. I just moved to this area, and I know I have a herniated disc, and the MRI done already to prove it. I have done physical therapy, I have done a lot of masseuse and chiropractic work, and I came in to this office SIMPLY to get an adjustment. I was not in agonizing pain, I wasn't seeking out this type of treatment, just wanted to get adjusted. I was required to do an initial consultation before getting adjusted, fine.... but then the doctor put me on an 8 week physical therapy regiment and gave me a referral to go get injections at Duek. Even the staff that was doing the physical therapy with me didn't really know what to do with me.... Long story short, Duek required me to have 3 visits another MRI, and X-Ray, all before telling me that to facility to get the injections is located else where and my out of network cost would be about $4000.00! I checked and they had billed my insurance a ton for all these visits and MRI etc... So I spent weeks between both of these offices and got NOTHING out of it! I never even got my back adjustment done! When I called back just now to cancel all further appointments and express my disappointment the woman on the phone didn't want to hear anything about it, kept cutting me off, then randomly said "I have another call coming in" and switched off the line!
