I work a desk job and so get a lot of shoulder tension- after adjustments all of that tension is released. I stopped going to The Joint Chiropractic in Sandy Springs, GA. I asked that my card information be removed from their records, and lo & behold! A charge to my card showed up on my cc statement. These people are only after your money! Their sales pitch is that they are less expensive than other chiropractors. Then a chiropractor will bruise one of your ribs while doing a thoracic adjustment and you will get not even an apology from the establishment. As I watched this chiropractor perform adjustments on patients ahead of me, I noticed that he performed the exact same ritual of adjustments on everyone, whether they were male or female, young or old. He didn't care about your individual pains. He was just going through the motions in order to get you out of there. Don't give these people your money. They are hacks at best and all they want is your money. read more

I am currently on a chiropractic plan and and I was in a different area and wanted to give this location a try. I really like that you can visit any location for service. That really is a big plus for me. Service was the same, quick and easy; in and out no more than 15 minutes tops. This is my 3rd adjustment with The Joint and I am noticing some improvements. Adjustments were good, however I came across some professionalism issues with the corporate team. After hearing back after a couple month of being ignored, I was finally assisted to get my issue resolved. Erica is awesome. I sought out chiropractic help when I found out I was pregnant and could no longer address my back pain with medication. She made me comfortable and definitely who I believe I can contribute to my mobility throughout my pregnancy. I made it physically to 33 weeks and 6 days with twins. I was still moving great but I had to deliver early due to other complications. A lot of women who carry twins cannot walk and move once they get to the 30 week mark and sometimes earlier. Many end up in bed rest. I was able to continue my job as a restaurant manager (10/12 hours on your feet). As soon as I am healed from my surgery, I will be back. Simply because of Erica. read more

This place has been the solution to the aches that my body has had. Dr. Erica has single handedly been the force behind this. When I first arrived I wanted to have the heaviest guy in the room adjust me because of my perception of size matters. But I was wrong. She's now the smallest Doctor there and the ONLY person that I see. Not to mention ahe personable, remembering family and events that we've discussed. I'm going to be sad when she leaves for her maturity leave. I hope this place keeps her around. The past comments about the membership is baseless. You have agreements everywhere and this is no different. And to be honest getting only 1 adjustment a month pays for it.... It's a must try especially with Erica!!! read more

I've had a Joint membership for a while now and have visited two locations in ATL and several in other states when I've been on the road. I like the concept of the Joint, but have come to the conclusion that the service isn't as personalized or effective as a longer-term relationship with a single chiropractor. I see it as the McDonalds of chiropractic...when you just need maintenance, or you're in a pinch, it will do, but it's not intensive chiropractic therapy. UNTIL I visited Dr. Erika at the Sandy Spring location. In town for work, and very much in pain, I stopped in for a fix before my meeting. In short: *No wait. At all. *Coupons for nearby massage services (massage and chiropractic make each other shine!) *She adjusted my WRISTS. Only one other amazing DC I've had has ever done that...and for we laptop lifers, that is soooooo necessary. *She sent me off to my meeting with extra advice and an ice pack. *A couple of days later, I receive a personal email with follow-up exercises and stretches (That was a first!)* As if all that wasn't enough, here was the kicker: she adjusted my JAW. That's right. My jaw. I have always had a terrible clickety-clackety jaw since having wisdom teeth removed. She used that little metal micro adjuster (that frankly I always thought was a gimmick), and I INSTANTLY had smooth-action chomping. I stood there like a dork gaping at her in amazement...which she graciously ignored. This location far outperformed any other Joint I've visited, and many private practice DCs...Dr. Erika is top notch. read more

TL:DR Make sure you know EXACTLY what you're signing up for, and make sure to cancel WELL in advance. Fairly disappointed in their business practices. I walked in for the $20 "walk in" special, and got adjusted. After that was finished I ended up "buying" what I thought was a non recurring, one time $59 for four visits deal. The other option I had was a $300, six month deal with four visits a month. The $300 plan was more than I was willing to commit to something I wasn't sure would help. So I went two more times, and while being adjusted felt great it didn't really resolve the issues. I also felt like it was a bit rushed. You're in and out in less than five minutes. And while I'm sure that has positive aspects for someone in a rush, it wasn't to my liking. Here is where the problem starts. So I looked through my credit card statement and saw two more additional $59 charges for the the next two months after the initial one I signed up for. I called them and they claim that I didn't sign up for a one time $59 charge, but a monthly wellness plan. I also had already fulfilled the two month requirement, but couldn't cancel over the phone. So I put a block on the merchant with my card, and went to the place to cancel. It gets comical at this point. Not only will they not refund the third month(December), but since I'm not giving 30 days notice they are going to charge me again at the end of January.(today is the 2nd) I almost feel like I should go in and get adjusted, since I have a "month" left..... but then I thought, would you let someone who screwed you over, adjust your spine? read more

Dr. E is amazing! Everyone here is incredibly professional and friendly. The office is always welcoming and clean, and I enjoy that there is a water cooler in the waiting room. It's the little things! My husband and I have been going here for almost 2 years now, and don't plan to change! The wait time is usually very fast, sometimes walk right in once you get checked in. I love the location too. Very convenient and close to grocery and restaurants so it's easy to pop in on the way to the store. Occasionally there are other doctors, but when that happens, they are always great. Everyone has always taken great notes and the follow up on them. Dr. E always remember specific things that we like, and that is such a great personal touch. read more

Dr. Erika gives a great adjustment! She really cares about her patients. I know at The Joint the time with the doctors is less than if you go to an appointment somewhere... but that's probably because you're waiting a while and maybe using a machine. I am on the Wellness Plan and feel like it is a great deal. The Joint focuses purely on adjustments and that's all I need (besides some massage) and they do a great job at it! I am appalled and disappointed that today the Dr who adjusted me did not wash or sanitize his hands before adjusting me. I watched him give them a handshake, changes the sheet of paper, shook their hands and proceeded to adjust me. I was totally disgusted but was in pain and did not say anything. My husband asked me a good question... why would you not say anything? Regardless of all the health scares with the coronavirus, you would expect a doctor to be more careful and sanitary. A quick and correct adjustment when I need one. This is the go to location near my office, usually on my lunch hour. I recommend doing the monthly visit plan, 4 adjustments go by pretty fast in a month if you've got real issues. And a little prevention goes a long way. read more

Do not sign their contract. It's about their business first, not about the customer. I went for 2 months for treatments and cancelled right after my 2nd billing. They require at least 2 months of billing. After they billed me a 3rd time, I called to have the $59 refunded and they refused after multiple phone calls. I did not continue going for treatments after the 2nd month and cancelled right after I was billed the 2nd month. They have no qualms about taking your money and will tell you billing issues are out of their hands and that you need to speak to someone else that you can't get a hold of. read more

I pulled my arm playing baseball, and went to this place since I was in that area. The staff were very well professional and the chyro spend almost 20 minutes inspecting my arm and spinal. I was recommended to visit twice weekly for 4 weeks, they also provided a plan $49 for 4 adjustments in a month. I was also told that it will be a 6 months contract. I signed the contract. I went for the second appointment as scheduled. The chyro spend 2-3 minutes adjusting my arm and my spine. When asked why so less, then she said this is a long procedure and it will be slow and gradual. This wasn't my experience with any chiropractor in the past. I tried to cancel my contract but they wont allow you without paying for 6 months. So please be careful before signing any contracts. read more

I came to The Joint about a month ago for some neck issues. After the initial visit the Dr stated that I needed multiple adjustments so I was offered the Premium Wellness Plan that required a 6 month commitment but was only $49/mo or the Wellness Plan that was $59/mo month-to-month (both allowing 4 visits a month). I decided that I would start commitment-free to see how it went. When I was filling out the paperwork I came across a form that stated that my account would be debited $59/mo automatically each month. I told the receptionist that I did not want that to happen unless I saw that the treatment was working. She said it was no problem and would make a note on my paperwork that stated that I should be notified before the next billing cycle to see if I want to continue treatment with them, but in order to be enrolled into the plan I had to initial the form. Okay. I went through my 4 visits and was not satisfied with the results and decided to try another route. When I checked my account I saw that my account had been charged the membership fee of $59 for the next month. I called in and explained what happened was told that the receptionist that had signed me up was no longer working there. Okay, so..? Not my problem, right? I was told I would receive a call back. When they did call back I was told that "that girl" that had signed me up was no longer with them, there were no notes on my account and there was nothing they could do. What followed was me trying to explaining myself multiple times only to hear back, "Yeah, I'm sorry about that, but you initialed the form and there's no note and that girl' doesn't work here anymore" in a very not sorry way. The conversation finally ended when I admitted that it was my fault because I didn't make sure that 'that girl' did her job correctly. Thank you for taking accountability for your employees, their mistakes, and your poor training!!! read more

It's a 30 day cancellation notice if you want to cancel it. That means even if you wanna cancel it right now you still have to pay one month fee. I never really used the service and they charge me six months and then month to month, which I thought would be easy to cancel (finally after six months of waiting). But no. Life is never easy. So don't never sign up for it, unless you think you are really going to commit to it. The contract is nonsense but it is what it is man. read more

I've been going to The Joint to see Dr. Erika for almost 2 years now. She is by far the best chiropractor that I've ever seen. She's always thourough, personable and professional! The front desk staff is also always happy and upbeat and always remembers my first and last name (I think that says a lot considering the fact that I'm sure they have a large following). Ok.....enough about the staff and how great they are, you won't believe that it gets even better! I have a plan with The Joint that allows me to come in 4 times a month for $49, can't beat that considering the fact that this is quality chiropractic care. They also have locations nationwide that I can use when I'm traveling for holidays or on vacation. All in all, I think its definetely worth giving them a try.....you can thank me later! read more

Great service almost zero wait time and I've felt a lot better now that I'm getting regular care.

The Joint at the Sandy Springs location is run very professionally. My issue is with the company itself and the cancellation process. As they push the fact you can pay using your flexible spending I did just that, with no problem. THEN an ill-fated visit to the dentist cause me to have to shift priorities. I want to cancel just until the next flex-spending year, but the rules (which I DID read and understand at the time I signed up) state I must submit in the form in person to my "home" location or send the cancellation form certified mail to home location. The form is NOT online. This is so unnecessary in this day and age, its just not smart business. So the upshot, although I was quite happy with the service I received and the plan, i won't be patronizing this chain anymore read more
