I chose Settimi because they participate I the VA Choice program for Veterans, and they have good reviews. They were very thorough in my initial exam and also got me in quick for my first visit which was highly important. I noticed an immediate improvement, however slight, immediate, when I left. I suffer from two bulging discs in my back and they addressed all my concerns and even followed up that evening with a call to see how I was feeling. Dr. Settimi and Dr. Schultz are both professional and experienced in what they do. I will continue to go here.

Stay Away! I visited "Doctor" Settimi for some neck stiffness a little under a year ago and that…read moredecision has been one of the biggest regrets of my life...and is something I am still experiencing the affects of today. I had never been to a chiropractor, so I had no idea what to expect. She assessed my neck, told me I was a special case, but could help me, and then proceeded to adjust my neck and spine. Immediately following my first adjustment, I became extremely nauseous and dizzy. She told me it was my body releasing toxins, and that it would resolve in a few days. To be sure, she wanted me to return to her every day that week for an additional adjustment and had me pre-pay for the sessions. After each session, I still felt dizzy...almost like I had just woken up and my neck continued to hurt. My focus was all off and my eyes frequently drifted when trying to focus on something. Not normal...I had never experienced this before her first adjustment. Her prescription? More sessions with her...because I was a "special case." When I called her to tell her that I didn't think her adjustments were helping me and that I was going to stop seeing her, she threatened my decision by saying that "my insurance company may refuse to pay for the sessions if they find out I am going against doctor orders of continued adjustments." She said she could still help me and other doctors won't understand my "special case." That phone call was the end of my relationship with her. It has been almost a year and I am still experiencing the visual distortion and focus-problem affects from her adjustments. Other chiropractors I have talked to said she completely mis-read the causes of my neck pain. She took x-rays of my neck and of my neck only. It turns out the cause of my neck pain was in my lower back...something she didn't even think to explore before she started adjusting me. Other chiropractors were shocked she didn't x-ray my whole back and went right for a neck adjustment. Her operation seems to be based around how much money she can get from patients, and my guess is she didn't x-ray my back because it was expensive for her to explore it. Her staff told me they don't get enough money from the insurance companies for the sessions, and it is probably for this reason why my whole experience at her office felt like I was being duped by a sleazy salesman. In addition to her pre-pay request, after each of my sessions her staff tried to "up-sell" me with a whole bunch of health supplements that had no relevance to my neck. I see she has many good reviews on here, but if I could go back and change one thing about my life in the last year, it would be to never have visited her. She only made my body worse.

Then, I received a bill in the mail for over $150 that I now owe to Kennedy Chiropractic. After discussing with their Billing Department, I was instructed that it's because I hadn't met my deductible yet (which I was fully aware of). Then she informed me that I should have known to tell them on my first ever appointment with a chiropractor that I didn't want to go through my insurance because they charge a client less based on this arrangement. They never discussed how much and initial consultation and respective treatment was, told me I owe nothing, and now won't work with me on the amount owed because it's not their problem. I'd recommend going to the three other chiropractors in the area before checking out Kennedy Chiropractic Center.

McCann Chiropractic is where I go for chiropractic care and I absolutely LOVE THEM! I highly,…read morehighly recommend them to everyone! I just realized that I've never reviewed them before and decided to rectify that right away with a Yelp review :) I used to think chiropractors only helped people who hurt their back or neck and that it was a short term thing (one or two visits). I also didn't know if it was really helpful or quackery. I now know that chiropractic care is about whole body wellness and that it really IS amazingly helpful for ongoing wellness. A number of years ago I started having severe pain in my neck and shoulder. It progressed to the point where I couldn't sleep at night without highly medicating myself and I would be awakened every morning by excruciating pain! As you can imagine, it horribly affected every area of my life. I couldn't sleep, my work was suffering, I couldn't stay in any one position for any amount of time, I couldn't sit through a work meeting at all, I was in a terrible mood all the time and snapping at people. I was desperate to get it fixed ASAP! After going to many, many appointments with my regular doctor where she checked out everything she could, I had no relief and she didn't know what was wrong with me. She prescribed me a high dose of pain reliever and sent me on my way. she also flat out told me that she did NOT recommend going to a chiropractor :( At that point, I was willing to try anything, my regular doctor couldn't help and I was not comfortable with the amount of drugs I was taking just to be able to fall asleep every night. I felt like I was in a nightmare. A friend recommended McCann Chiropractic and I went in to see them. They explained to me their philosophy on taking care of the body and ongoing wellness and honestly I was like "what is this hippy nonsense?" lol. Like I said though, I was willing to try anything to make the pain stop! I was so unbelievably grateful when they were able to get the pain to go away after just a few adjustment appointments! I had my life back! I've been seeing them for ongoing adjustments ever since and they keep me pain free :D I also no longer think their philosophy of taking care of the body is hippy nonsense ;) Dr. Pat & Dr. Kate are extremely pleasant and so are all of their staff members. I've never had anything but awesome experiences with them for over 5 years. I hope this review is helpful to anyone who is looking for a chiropractor.
