I'm a 67-year-old woman I asked the chiropractor Jeff to please use the activator and not to manipulate or crack my back my back. He became verbally defensive in his tone of voice he said he does not crack backs. Or manipulate people. I meant only not to twist my body or use any kind of physical force because I've been on a long road trip and my muscles we're very tight and I didn't think it would be a good idea for me In regards to the positioning of my body. He used an extremely condescending tone of voice in the manner in which he also said he was trying to educate me! I felt very belittled when I left there I felt no relief in my neck I am writing this a day after, my neck still hurts and I still feel a bit shaken bye the verbal exchange .The only good thing I can say was the receptionist when I arrived and left was very nice. read more

The front desk attendant was very friendly and quick to help. Dr. Devin gave a fantastic adjustment. I was having so much pain in my neck from just lifting my arms above my shoulders as well as looking up. After multiple adjustments and him constantly checking to see how movement felt after each adjustment I left feeling completely pain free. read more

Traveling again this summer so saw Dr Cam for the first time. Very pleased with the gentle adjustment and his technique. I'm used to chiropractors as I've have had back problems for many years and just this past few months have had to have Lumbar RFA and several lumbar/sacral epidurals. By a quick count I have been to more than 20 chiropractors in my over 60 years of living. Dr. Wendy Shimer is in the top three and I say top three because those three are all number ones. I have to say I was skeptical at first because it seemed too much of a bargain. I went in because I was in desperate need of adjustment and my current chiropractor was out of town. What a pleasant surprise to find real help. Dr. Shimer is now the chiropractor for our entire family. She has helped each one of us feel better. We always feel welcomed by a smile and a hello from Shari when we walk in the door. Being recognized by name is such a rare thing anymore in business but much appreciated. I don't know how she remembers all the clients but I hear her greeting others by name too so I know it isn't just my family she takes good care of. One last thing I love not having to have an appointment. Being able to walk in when I'm free is just one more plus. read more

The chiropractor was lovely and kind and very informative as well as provided great care. However, the front desk girl with the red hair was unbelievably rude. I went in on 04/19 with severe hip pain and was told if I wanted to purchase the 4 for $79 a month I would get 3 for free. I was on a lunch break and running behind because the front desk girl (same person) was incredibly slow during the intake so I said I'd be back tomorrow and I asked if we could honor the 3 free. She said she would likely be able to. I came back today, 04/20 quite literally less than 24 hours later and purchased the 4 for $79 (which was a process because apparently no one trained on a sense of urgency). I asked about the 3 free. This woman rolls her eyes at me and says she can't honor that because people take advantage and don't come back for a month after their first visit (what? I went back less than 24 hours later). I asked if I could speak to someone about that. She rolled her eyes again and without saying a word to me went to speak with the chiropractor. She relayed the message that he cannot honor the 3 free because the last time he did that he "got in trouble with the big bosses" and then finished it with a snarky "so do you still want to be seen today?". I recognize these business are franchised, but please hire more competent front desk staff who are apt to the position. I'm sure she's lovely outside of the workplace but she is certainly not someone to hire for a patient facing position. I'm also appalled that the 3 free was not honored even though I was there 24 hours later. I'm already counting down the days to when I can cancel. read more

I have been giving this place a try again for about 3 months now and have seen maybe 5 different docs, only one of whom I was impressed with who didn't use a "one treatment fits all" technique. They seem to be having a problem with hiring someone permanent. I have decided to move on and called to cancel my package and was told that it was charged to my card already this month, and even though I have not and will not use it, I cannot get a refund. Dr. Christiansen gives the best chiropractic adjustments I've ever had! I have a lot of muscle spasms and trigger points which reek havoc on my joints and until I met Dr Christiansen had never found a chiropractor who could give me a full adjustment because my muscles are so tight. I actually drive 30 minutes out of my way a couple of times a week to get adjusted by him!! And I leave every time with a lot more range of motion and a lot less of the chronic pain that I've experienced for years. I give Dr. Shimer and the office staff five stars. I have been so happy with treatment given and the outcome of her adjustments. As for my one star rating that is directed towards owners/management. Do not count on any help if you do have a problem or are unhappy for any reason. You will receive a "tough luck" response from them and not even the courtesy of contacting you directly. The guy who is the Doctor now is aweful. He is a used car salesman. I told him what I wanted adjusted and he started to ask me to keep moving up the chair until half my back was off of it. He had me reaching above me and when I asked why I was doing this he said he was checking my neck muscles and upper back muscles. I asked him scapula or romboids, which upper back muscles and he looked surpised I knew this Oh yeah I am a personnel trainer. Surpise. He told me my muscles were weak and I need to get a package to see him. Besides not doing what I asked he used tbis same test and sales pitch on the obviously not in shape lady in front me. I hung out and waited to pay my bill and guess what, same exact sales pitch on the person he was now treating. This guy is one step away from a law suit. The staff is very friendly and gets to know their clients quickly. I feel welcomed when I enter and as I leave. I also really really enjoy the adjustments. Dr Shimer is my favorite, but the others are good too. I've never had a long wait. I can usually just pop in and out in 10-15 minutes total, which is great. I went in at 6:30pm to get an adjustment on a Monday. They close at 7:00pm that night. This was my 1st time at this location. When I went in i was not met with a hellow or a smile. The lady that was behind the desk did not introduce her self. I think she was the chiropractor because of the DC on her shirt. She said as quoted " I do not feel comfortable taking a new client this close to closing. I can give u the paperwork so u can come back later." I tryed to express the amount of pain I was in but it did not madder to her. She did not even look at me as she was saying this. They were good... a long time ago. Quality was tied to one chiropractor and one frontdesk person specifically. In the meantime: no consistent staffing, less experienced administrative staff. This place got good reviews, and I needed something local with flexible hours and an affordable plan, so I gave it a shot. My first impression wasn't a good one, and it hasn't gotten better. First of all, when I emailed a question to The Joint because I was considering trying them out, I got a response that said, simply, "Yes." Are you kidding me? I should have taken that as a glimpse into their customer service and continued looking for a chiropractic provider. But, I gave them a chance anyway and went in for my initial consultation. When I arrived, I was given some forms to fill out and told to sit in a specific chair (although the waiting area was empty). I sat in a different chair instead because the sun was shining hot onto the other chair, and when I sat down I looked across the room where I could see underneath the other chairs in the office. Clearly, the place hasn't been cleaned in months. The brown floor is literally WHITE from the accummulated dust. There were fingerprints all over the tables in the waiting area, and gum wrappers on the seats. The receptionist was clearly flirting with the AC repairman who was talking to her. At one point I got up to give her my medical forms and I stood there, holding them out, while she glanced at me and continued her conversation. I am the least confrontational person you'll ever meet, but I also highly value customer service, so I actually stood there some more, with my arm stretched out, offering my paperwork to her. She actually told me to just leave it on the counter, with the service man standing right there! I said that since it has personal information on it, I would leave it for her facedown, but she didn't get the hint. And when the guy finally left, she played on her cell phone with the white cover for another several mins before taking my paperwork off the counter. Doesn't instill a lot of trust when your back care office doesn't demonstrate a concern for the security of your personal information. The exam and adjustment themselves were pretty mediocre. At one point I wanted to scream "I heard you the first 14 times!" when Dr. Wendy told me to "Keep ice on it." It was like a mantra and quite ridiculous. I said "yes, I will" I don't know how many times. sheesh. And...it hasn't gotten any better. I have been there three other times, in order to use the 4 visits per month that I signed up for. My shoulder issues seem to be getting better, so that's a plus. But the place is still filthy and if Shari would spend less time on her cell phone (she's been on it every time I've walked in) and more time straightening the office (and CLEANING it...sweep, mop and dust) then the overall impression of the place would be 5 stars. I think the entire atmosphere and experience would be better with a different person at the front desk, and if both drs (both of them have given me adjustments) would slow down just a tad and exhibit some concern. read more
