I was in need of chiropractic treatment. I used to get adjusted years ago. I liked the hours of The Joint and that I could get adjusted at other locations if needed. My first visit was good. The "Dr" took time to listen to my issues and did multiple adjustments and I felt much better. I saw him again my second visit with the same experience. Then came visit 3. That person did not listen to anything I asked for. Used the traction table and adjusted one spot. I was literally in and out in less than a minute. I gave it another shot and went in again. This time there was a female who kept asking me how I wanted to be adjusted. I told her like the first couple of times for my lower back and leg. She tried 3 times to adjust with me on my side. She was petite in height and had to almost jump up and then slid off and couldn't even do the adjustment. The original "Dr" I saw was there and I asked him if he could adjust me. He asked what she did and I told him nothing that she had the table "pop" but I felt nothing and she wasn't even on the side I was having issues. He then tried to tell me that didn't mean anything and you can be adjusted without your body popping. I am aware how chiropractic adjustments work, I didn't need him to be condescending to me. I just left and stopped at the front t to cancel. I told the receptionist that now I understood why 2 people came in upset to cancel when I was signing up and I should have listened to my gut. Then the "Dr" came up and told her not to charge me anymore, he approved to NOT be charged the second month that was part of the contract. I asked for that in writing and he said I had it on the cancellation paper. I told him no, it only said cancel after contracted date. He told me I just heard him authorize it to the receptionist and she was my witness. I asked for him to write that in my paper and he refused. I went to the bank, they will not get anymore money from me but their practices are ridiculous. It seems only one person actually knows what they are doing to get you in the door then the rest use a table to make it seem like you are being adjusted. Everyone except the one "Dr" used the table, he did not and if you question them at all they are quick to get you out the door. I will be going back to what I can only call a real chiropractor. It may not be as convenient with my schedule but at least I receive treatment. read more

Guys I have to say I am not one for a holistic approach to anything, however I am a believer now. We live in a world full of technology that causes so much wear and tear to our bodies. I have been going to this particular location for almost 2 years. Yes, it's a chain, but the doctor is not the same at all locations. I will drive 20 minutes just to see him particularly here. I've been going to the Lexington location for 3+ years and Dr. Touchet is my go-to guy. He knows his stuff. I always feel brand new after my adjustment--money well spent! The staff (Mandy) is always courteous and helpful, and everyone follows Covid protocols. I'd recommend this location, and specifically Dr. Touchet to anyone. read more

The Joint is a complete Sham and waste of money. My first visit there, I had an "adjustment" by Dr. Touchet, and I woke up the following morning in such excruciating pain that I literally could not move or get out of my bed. I also had pain shooting down my right arm and numbness off and on. I was out of work for two days, and literally could not function. I immediately called The Joint that morning and spoke to Dr. Touchet. He advised me that there may be just "some soreness" because I was not used to being adjusted. I have been adjusted plenty in the past, and this was NOT normal, I assured him. I could hardly speak the pain was so bad. He told me to take Advil every few hours and to come back in to see him for another adjustment. I ended up being out of work for two and a half days, having my regular doctor call me in muscle relaxers (so I could move), and my mother, who is a registered nurse, had to come take care of me. When I was able to move again (still very uncomfortable), I called again and spoke with Dr. Touchet. I asked for a full refund for my membership, as I felt uncomfortable coming back in to see him for any sort of adjustment at all. He again told me I should have come back in to see him and be adjusted the day before, when I was laid up in bed. The ONLY way I could have gone anywhere for those two days, would have been in a wheelchair, as I was unable to move. He and the receptionist told me that I could terminate my membership, but there was a 30 day notice, so not only would I be charged the original $59 that I had already paid for this month, but my card will also still be charged $59 for next month (a total of $118 wasted) -- Regardless, of the HORRIBLE experience I had with him and the fact that I will not be using ANY of their services, they were not willing to simply give me a curtesy reimbursement. It is evident that the patient care REALLY is secondary to selling memberships here. This company is out for money, and honestly I believe is a HAZARD for anyone's health and well-being, as they do not even have the proper equipment to take X-rays and properly examine their patients, etc. After a week of hell with pain, doctor visits, and medication, you would think they would at least be willing to give me a refund. These people are beyond ridiculous! read more

I am reviewing this just after my first visit. The girl behind the front desk was very friendly & informative. I had my consultation with Dr. Touchet. He really listened to my concerns & questions. He did an adjustment on me tailored to my one area that has been bugging me. He was gentle & I do feel better in that area! So, I will be back! read more

Worst service in Lexington, find a different chiropractor. Poor service from the start, when hou walk in the door. Staff does not welcome you. Think they have a elitism attitude. I would take my business elsewhere. Life to short to give my hard earned money to people that do not appreciate the people they serve. read more

Ironically, I threw my back out by moving a Bowflex Max Trainer, and I could barely move. After going to the Joint for only a month to get realigned , I have no more pain in my back. They are amazing, the staff is so friendly, and I'm never there longer than 10 minutes. Highly recommend to anyone!! read more

While visiting in the Lexington/ Gilbert area -visiting friends and checking out my parents' old homestead, I developed a slight pain/twinge in my left shoulder/ back area. I was familiar with "The Joint" in Columbia area as I had visited a location just to see their operations for a USC friend ( Go Gamecocks) ... just had to put that in...) Since I am familiar with Chiropractor therapy due to my back, I was sure that an area that has caused me problems in the past was the culprit. I had been driving most of the day and I guess that sitting in my car in an awkward position caused some poor spinal posture. I did not know they had a location in Lexington area, and was actually heading back into Columbia on I-20 when I found this location. Since no appointments are necessary, and after a short wait I was examined and I had manipulation of the area, which immediately started alleviating the pain and muscle tightness. It was enough to get me back on the road, as most people know that one visit usually is not enough to settle your musculoskeletal area. I immediately called my Chiropractor at home for an appointment... I found this Joint very responsive to my concerns and very Professional since I did not know them. Very modern decor, friendly staff and certified. Would like to add that their Wellness Plans- 4 visits a month for $59, which is a steal as most skeletal/muscle problems that I have had take a number of visits before a final resolution. Great attention and Professional... Gotta love that name, "The Joint " ...one you will not forget. This location is near Publix Super Market at Lexington Place.
