With nothing working for my constant hip pain that keeps coming back for the past 3-4 months. After X-rays, lab work and ultrasounds coming back normal thought of giving chiropractic methods a go. Then I stumbled upon a promotional offer that's too good to be true with The Joint Chiropractic, La Verne. Boy I'm glad I took a gamble! Melinda squeezed me in for a same day consultation. I remember asking her again and again if there are any hidden fees or automatic subscriptions to which she patiently assured me that there were none. Registration process was thorough but fast. I was hesitant and a sceptic but needed help. Then I met Dr. Sherman Gee. He met me where I was. I was broken and in pain. When you are in pain and feel like the whole world is crumbling you want a doctor who is kind, empathetic and has the patience to listen because we are not equipped to explain everything that's going on. Clean, friendly, and fast location to come to if you're looking for occasional relief and adjusting. Doctors are very knowledgeable, and take the time to hear your pain points and offer techniques to ensure you stay on top of yourself at home. Even if your problem is muscular, they provide recommendations for treatment or alternatives should the adjustment not work. Dr. Gee is the whole reason I come here! He ensures to get every bone possible in my neck and upper back, making sure i walk out with proper posture lol. My only gripe that made subtract a star is the timing. I have come on a few occasions when they should be open and they close down early, or take lunch earlier. I've come on weekends before 5 and they're already closed at 3. At time of writing I came 20 minutes prior to closing and they closed. There aren't even signs to let people know of early closure or anything which is a bit frustrating. I struggled on whether to give three or four stars but ultimately minus one for timing. It may be much, but time management is important. read more

I booked my first appointment here over the weekend, and was looking forward to a much-needed adjustment. However, when I arrived (one hour after they open), there was no one at the front desk. A doctor came out front to greet me and asked if I was a new or returning patient, and when I told him I was new, he informed me that the two front desk folks, who handle intake forms, were supposed to be there, but hadn't showed up and he didn't know why... therefore, he was unable to see me. He asked me to write down my number on a post-it so that if/when the front desk people showed up, they could call me to come back in. I found this odd, but left my information with him. He was apologetic for the inconvenience, and I went on my way. It's been over 24 hours and I never received a call from anyone to reschedule my appointment, so I suppose I'll take my business elsewhere. This experience obviously left me with a poor first impression - it seemed unprofessional for not one, but two people to apparently not show up for work, and disorganized for the doctor to have no idea where his staff were or if/when they were coming in. Really frustrated with this clinic. I've been a patient for several years now and it's always been great, other than the constant turnover of doctors. I get it, people move on, new doctors start their own practices, etc. But dang it if you don't find one you like, and then have to drive 30 miles to go see him at his new location. That's not happening. My main problem right now is the lack of doctors. I have gone 4 times in the last week and they've been closed. Sign on the door says go to so and so clinic. Call that clinic, they don't have a doctor available. Call corporate to find out what the heck is going on, no one answers the phone. Really tired of them CONSISTANTLY taking my money every month, but me never being able to get the 4 treatments a month that I pay for. Something's gotta change. If you can't provide access to doctors as promised when we signed up for the membership, you need to change how much you're charging your clients. At this point, I just want to cancel, but guess what...you have to go into the clinic to sign paperwork, but the clinic is always closed...good business model. And how professional is this?!?!?! I've been going this location for about 2 months now. I go every Tuesday and get my adjustment with Dr. Gee. He is very professional, very friendly and very effective. He takes the time to hear you out and asks what is bothering you. Since I've been seeing him, my neck feels so much looser and the pain I always had is practically gone. Melinda the receptionist is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I had to put my membership in hold for a month due to financial reasons. She was quick to help me and even called the location I signed up and asked them if she can freeze my membership for me, instead of me having to drive to another location to do it. Thank you Melinda! The Lady working the front desk on Fridays around noon is absolutely garbage. Called to try and make some adjustments to my account and she responded with an attitude saying I need to come in to make changes. Didn't offer any assistance with anything or any other options. I assume she hates her life so she takes it out on everyone else. Makes sense though because she's worthless. Called another location to see if they were able to assist and I was able to get things adjusted over the phone without any problems. I've never been to a chiropractor because of a fear I have. I can now say I had a fear! I woke up with a sore neck and didn't want it to get worse as it usually does. I decided to drive down to my local Joint at 10 am. You don't need an appointment, which I loved. Melinda greeted me at the door and gave me the rundown of what the Joint is all about. I agreed and filled out some paperwork. I was quickly taken back by a very friendly Dr Gee. He asked me a few questions and we got to business. Dr Gee was quick to see what my issues were and within 10 minutes, he was able to get me back to feeling normal! No one likes to be scammed or hustled into something that doesn't work, so I went in with my guard up. But let me tell you, Dr Gee and staff are the real deal. I visited this location today (2nd visit) in the City of La Verne and was treated for some lower and upper back pain. I met Dr Gee and he adjusted my back quickly. I felt immediate relief. A little note about the place.. It is in a shopping mall near Target but it always has plenty of parking spots and my wait time was less than 2 minutes!!! Both chiros on staff are amazing. The front desk staff is super kind. Definitely had to sign up, however, the front desk won't tell you the most accurate times. They'll tell you it's a 10 min wait, when it's really a 45 minute wait. Was once told it would be a 45 minute wait, and ended up being two hours. It was my first time there and I must say the office experience has been great so far. A lot of reviews on here are a tad bit on the older side so I wanted to update everyone. I feel the location is in a safe community and it doesn't feel sketchy upon arrival. The employees were all extremely nice and any questions I asked they had the answers to them. As for the treatment the doctor was very caring and was willing to explain a lot that could help me fix my back problems. I was hoping to love The Joint. They're in several locations and function as a membership place. For a monthly fee you get regular visits. I visited the one in La Verne because I just moved here and unfortunately I was injured by one of their practitioners. When I went to my regular chiropractor in Cerritos, she told me that the joint is owned by a doctor but none of the practitioners have to be doctors in order to work there. Seems like most of the practitioners, if not all of them, are not doctors but are still working on people. She also said that her office has seen other patients come in complaining about being injured at The Joint. After I was treated at The Joint, I began to feel weakness in my arms and legs and my hands started to cramp regularly. As a musician I was very concerned. After visiting my regular chiropractic doctor, I'm back to normal. The Joint messed me up, so my wife and I will never be returning. read more

First and foremost, My reason and one star review is not to bash any employee or staff member of the Joint. Every person I've encountered there has been friendly and great. My issue is an issue of transparency in their wellness packages. It's stated in their lengthy paperwork that nobody every reads through, and if they do I'd love to shake that persons hand, that you're committing to a two month minimum for their wellness packages. I think that needs to be stated upfront and very clearly stated at the time of sign up. I've been dealing with chronic pain and went in to try to see if this can bring relief and to no avail it hasn't. I've had to go for more extensive pain management procedures. I was told upfront that all I needed to do was to call before the recharge date to cancel. I called a couple of days ago and the lady communicated that I just needed to come in and sign paperwork to close out and cancel my package. I go in today and now a different guy tells me I can't cancel. So I'm basically stuck with having to pay for another month. There's needs to be and should be more transparency upfront for people when it comes to signing up for packages. And explaining those details that they seem to be purposely hiding in the fine print because they to know as well as their lawyers know that most people aren't reading the fine print. read more

It's unfortunate that I need to leave this review. I've gone to the location in Azusa multiple times and have had a stellar experience. Unfortunately the doctor was in a car accident at that location and I was sent to Laverne. When I arrived I was told it would be a 35 minute wait , even though I had actually been waiting at the Azusa location before it opened. Oscar was extremely rude and would not squeeze me in even though I was visibly in pain, had been waiting since 9:55 am at the other location and had driven all the way there. I understand there were new patients and that's why it was taking so long, but I am a returning patient who could have been adjusted in 3 minutes. I had friends and family waiting on me and now I get to drive three hours with out an adjustment. read more

I called ahead and said I was new. They said come on down, they were closing soon so hurry. My neck is killing me and I was excited to give it a try here. I drove straight down (5 min drive) and made it 35 min before closing and Douglas was working the front and said they couldn't see me and they didn't have enough time and was rude the min. What possessed me to wear 5 inch heels to work all day on Friday? The shoes rock and all but not sure they'll be coming with ever again. On Saturday I did a lot of walking with regular sandals but my right foot was feeling out of sorts. On Sunday something was wrong because the pain was getting worse with every step. I decided to go to my favorite chiro and within minutes and some crack crack crack all was swell in the world again. Just as I thought, the shoes jacked me up. Boy was it great to get adjusted. So let me start by saying that I was hurting, lumbar and hip pain, I couldn't sit anymore... My personal trainer recommended The Joint to me, I walked in last Sunday and the receptionist Sandy welcomes me, and got me right in. The doctors are amazing, and today,, 5 days and 4 treatments later and I feel fabulous, just about to the point of being pain free and I can sit down again!!! Yay Sandy is the first face you see when walking in and she made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. Dr. Crouch is the first and only person who has ever been able to adjust my mid back! I have slight scoliosis and I've been to so many chiropractors and no one can ever adjust my mid back. They've all had to use heat or TENS to loosen my muscles first. So with that, I'm sold!She is amazing, very professional, and for some one young, she is seems to be an expert already. The Friday before Thanksgiving I woke up with a migraine. I thought I could take some over the counter ibuprofen and it would go away. But unfortunately I was taking tablets like candy & I felt no change. This went on for almost a week. So I finally went to urgent care to see a doctor. The doctor gave me some meds that was suppose to relieve the pain. I took all of the tablets that the doctor prescribed but I saw no change. Therefore, I went to the doctor again and I received more meds. The second set of meds were worst than the first ones. So I went to see my primary doctor who then issued an MRI. It came back clean so she sent me to a neurologist. Though the neurologist wasn't able to provide me any relief. He gave me his set of meds. I was worried that there was no cure to my pain. After being in pain for now over a month, I finally decided to try chiropractic since my nephew suggested it @ a family Christmas dinner. I tried a place in Chino but I did not like the personality of the chiropractor. He was quick to judge & speak verses listening. I figured I would try out different chiropractors to see who would be a good fit for me. I came to the Joint and everyone listened & was sympathetic to my pain. They didn't judge or criticize me but rather want to work with me to find the reason for my pain to start the healing process. It took a few more weeks after going to the Joint on a regular bases for my migraine to slowly disappear. I am 100% cute and still attending regularly to maintain health living.
