I have been experiencing pain and aches in my left hip for the past 6 - 8 months, and recently, my right foot has been hurting after a normal day of activity. This is on top of a constant ache in the middle of my back that I have lived with for years, since I fell on my back while roller skating. I went to The Joint chiropractic on Yorktown/Main yesterday and received Excellent care from Dr. Todd Masler He noticed right away that my hips were off center, by quite a bit, and even showed me in the mirror how bad it was. He then went through my past injuries and daily activities thoroughly, before giving me the Best adjustment I have ever had. It seems everything was out of alignment and I didn't even realize till after, how tight my neck had been before the adjustment. I can now turn my head from side to side without getting locked up. Last night, I was able to sleep through the night for the first time in A Long time, without hip pain, and the ache in the middle of my back is almost gone. I had a busy day after the adjustment and that constant ache is pretty much gone, or at least it hasn't returned. Foot is better also, but still a little achey. Todd explained how weight shifts around when one side of the body is injured, and I really appreciate how he explained everything I had going on, so it made sense. He is now on top of my list of favorite people and I'll think of him as Mr. Magic hands from now on :) Needless to say..I signed up for the monthly plan where you pay $89 and can come in for adjustments 4x/month (that's about $23 per visit) I've been paying $50+ Per Visit at other chiropractor offices, and not felt I was getting better. I have the monthly plan for $98 for four (4) visits. If I visit more then its $10 per visit. I mean how can you beat all that! I have a couple locations I like but I can visit any location that is convenient to me on my schedule. I mean, its so convenient for someone like me who works in construction doing physical labor. If you've ever seen the necromonger solider in The Chronicles of Riddick movie with the knife stuck in his back, that is, exactly, what I was walking around with in my neck and upper back, right beside my spine. The Joint Chiropractic's, Dr. Todd Masler alleviated this pain with just one adjustment. It's going to take much more treatment to, completely, remedy my ailment, but I, now, have an effective chiropractor who works with my schedule because he's available on Saturdays! And although I was in extreme pain, I wasn't counting the less than 10 minutes that I was waiting because I was and am so grateful that this office takes walkins and told me upon calling, "come on in!" Even though Yanet, at reception, assessed my need with patience and understanding of my grumpiness because I was in extreme pain, with a headache to boot, Dr. Masler made sure of those findings and further asked questions about my day-to-day life, and assessed, exactly, what I need specific to me. I prefer to stand, so I appreciated Dr. Masler assessing me while standing. This location in Huntington Beach was a terrible decision. I had been having a bad headache and thought I'd try chiropractic. Dr. Mark Hamilton tells you to lay on the table, cracks your back and neck and says "good bye". I laid on my stomach, he dropped the table and as he went to crack my back I asked him if he was going to do something like a light massage or stretch to prepare. He said "I do what I do and I've been doing it for 25 years". He cracked me and I was in massive pain. He just said to lay there til it felt better. It never did. After a week I went to urgent care and got X-rays and pain meds. Then after that I went to the ER. The XRays didn't show anything but it took 2 months to heal. I contacted the Dr. and he was extreme rude and denied that he would ever say anything like that. I asked him to give me my records and he said he didn't have any except a sentence that said I had complained of headaches. Today my brother went to The Joint on Harbor and had a wonderful experience. The doctor did massage and stretching before the adjustment. The few times I was at the Huntington Beach location, either for treatment or to ask for paperwork, clients were in and out within a minute or two. GO TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION! read more

Dr. Todd Masler works at The Joint on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays. Those are the days I go for my adjustments because he is excellent! I love the price and the fact you can walk in any time. No appointment is necessary. That makes it SO easy to maintain my weekly adjustments regimen. I've been going to chiropractors for years. They all do pretty much the same thing. The doctors are very good and personable. My only issue with the company is their policy. I was unable to cancel my membership for 3 months because of my circumstances with my back. I finally was able to cancel (was just going to put it on hold because my PT said no adjustments while getting therapy). To my disappointment I will not be able to get the points to roll over. So basically I wasted $280. There should be some sort of compassion; I can provide a doctors note from both my back specialist and PT docs. I refer people to your company all the time, I'm a business owner. Jen's an absolute doll - it's so refreshing to have an empathetic front desk person helping me. I was pleasantly surprised Joint Chiropractic was able to credit me back the sessions they promised me 1.5 years ago. I had to freeze my account due to a car accident 2 years ago. I think that speaks volumes about the business, though to be honest, it might be because Jen's went the extra mile. My account was inactive too long, so to be frank, I didn't think they'd honor my sessions. The adjustments are quick and effective. They have given me such a hard time about cancelling my grandsons membership. They continued to auto debit out of my account to pay for his membership . He went in but did not fill out " correct forms" you would think they would help him with that and they say because he's 18 I cannot cancel the membership although they continue to take it from my bank. I've got a crazy schedule and the entire team always makes a point to make me feel valued, appreciated, SAFE and expertly cared for. I've been going to The Joint in HB for several years now and have seen chiropractors come and go. Dr. Thomas is one of the best that has worked there. He is bright and cheerful, remembers details about you to bring up next time, like "How was your trip to___" Best of all, he does amazing adjustments that feel individualized to my needs. A lot of chiros do the same adjustment on everyone, but my boyfriend and I both love how Dr. Thomas adjusts us and we are very different. if i could give 0 stars i would. worst service i have ever experienced at a business. i went in for treatment in august for a adjustment and was told by the "doctor" if you pay $90 for a 2 month plan i can get you back to being 100%. which was (aug& sept). i said lets do it sounds great! every session i went in i was done in 5 mins they didnt do much to me. he didnt care about my pain he just did 2-3 cracks and said "ok done".. after i finished the sessions we were complete and i left. now months later i notice on my credit card statement that oct, nov, dec they still withdrew funds without my knowledge. i went in during jan to ask what they could do the lady at the front desk said contact coorporate they will resolve it. i called 15 times over a 4 week period left numerous vm and no response. i went back in the branch and they said fill out this canecllation form to stop the payments. mind you i havent stepped foot in that place since sept. i signed my form in jan and feb 3rd i get another $90 taken out. so thats now 5 payments of $90 without my consent! even after i cancelled and was told ill get a refund for the mistake! today i call the branch and a gentleman answers me and he knew i was the same person calling so he answers so rude it was embarrasing talking to him. i treid to tell my story he would cut me off over and over. he tells me " im talking now" he says theres no manager and nobody that can help me now. he was getting pretty agressive so i asked his name and he said dont worry about it. i continued to ask his name and no answer then he says my name is dean.. which was a lie then he says "my name is dean smith are you done complaing now?" and hung up on me... thats the doctor his name is mark hamilton!!! how rude and disrespectful can you be???? i said sir im trying to explain to you my situation he said "i dont care i dont want to hear it" all i was asking for was someone who could help. obviously he runs a corrupt business and does this to alot of people since theres alot of reviews about stuff like that going on. i wouldnt recommend anyone go there it was literally the most embarrasing disrespectful experience i have ever had. read more

DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE READ! I got the first time discount and I understand it was the first time but the doctor definitely did not care. He did not want to hear what I had to tell him about previous injuries or adjustments I had. I tried to tell him several things about my body and spine and he just cut me off and started talking about something else. Surprisingly the guy only made four adjustments and they were definitely nothing special, I ended up leaving with more neck pain, the guy was a clean freak or something, he was using paper on all parts of my body whenever he would adjust me which in my opinion would make it much harder to make an accurate adjustment, which I don't think there was anything accurate about his adjustments at all. Overall a bad experience, seemed like he wanted me out but was hustling me to come back with a membership which is pretty contradictory if you ask me. Would not ever recommend. I was looking to cancel my subscription at The Joint, so I called in(4/17). I talked to one of the ladies at the front desk and I was informed that I would need to come in to the office in person to cancel. The receptionist told me that I had until 4/22 to cancel. Two days later (4/19) I saw that I had been charged the monthly fee, upon further investigation I found that I have been double charged every month since I signed up. To be honest I wasn't even upset, it's a clerical error, these things happen and I was sure it would be taken care of with no fuss. This where things went sideways. The front desk person Jocelyn (btw the other receptionist is lovely), really left a sour taste in my mouth. I presented my issue and felt shirked. She parroted company policy and when I tried to explain my unique situation she cut me off to reiterate the company policy. After being cut off, I tried to get a word in edgewise and then she cut me off again to parrot the same information while telling me I was being rude for not letting her finish. I am very upset, I was wronged and rather than being treated as a customer to be cared for, this woman tried to shame me. All I'm asking for is a customer service professional who works to make the customer happy. Jocelyn sullied my mood and took what should have been a simple interaction and changed it into a fight. Just went in for an adjustment this afternoon and felt like I should've thrown the money away instead. I didn't catch the lady's name who attempted to adjust my girlfriend and I, but we both left very disappointed. Not only did we feel rushed, as in not being allowed to even exhale before pressure was applied, but the adjustment fell short of any expectation I had. The only thing that was cracked was my back, which is an easy feat for any individual. Lucky for me, I only had one visit, my girlfriend has since cancelled the membership she had with the group and we are looking elsewhere thanks to the uncomfortable experience. Until recently, I hadn't experienced much back pain... But after years of desk jobs, it finally caught up with me. My sciatica began flaring up this year and I just didn't know where to turn. A friend recommended I try the Joint.. After one visit, I was sold... Dr Jacques addressed the pain I had in my lower back and even advised me on some stretches I could do at home to help alleviate the pain.. I decided to sign up for the monthly plan because I felt it was such a great value for the price... to be able to stop in weekly, anytime I felt pain for one monthly fee. When I stay on track and visit them aleast one a week, I notice the difference and don't have as much pain as I normally do if I go weeks without an adjustment. ***DISCLAIMER THIS REVIEW IS BASED SOLELY ON MY OWN EXPERIENCE WITH THE CHIROPRACTOR AT THE JOINT CHIROPRACTIC ON YORKTOWN IN HUNTINGTON BEACH*** I initially went in because my normal chiropractor was on vacation for 2 months. I usually have to get adjusted every 4-6 weeks due to a headache that arrives like clockwork, once adjusted headache is gone. My first appointment was February 1,2019. I purchased the membership that day and went in a few times- the drs were friendly enough and the place was clean. On February 11, 2019 i went in to get adjusted and the Dr tried to adjust my neck but it didn't crack. I left with some pain but the night of February 12th i could not move my neck. I was in severe pain that got worse till about the 25th of February. I could not move my neck, i was dizzy, had horrible neasua, ringing in the ears, my hands and feet had tingles literally the worst thing I've ever experienced. I did go back (to ask if i should go to the ER- he said not necessary they would only give me something to help with the neasuea) the Dr. wanted to do my neck again i let him once or twice but was very scared and then allowed only back to be done when i went in later but stopped going when i wasn't getting better. I ended going to my medical Dr. on feb 28th and was told i have severe muscle strain (basically whip lash) from my chiro visit on 2/11. At this point the pain was still severe- not getting worse but still VERY there! By March 11th the pain was still there and not getting better so i had an appointment with an orthopedic spine/neck dr. He wanted me to do an MRI. Had the MRI on March 18th and follow up visit to get results on March 29th. Results concluded no significant spine damage and the dr said i had major muscle strain/tearing and prescribed 2 months of physical therapy twice a week! I'm writing my review today because it is now APRIL 18th and I'm still in very SEVERE PAIN! I'm on 9 weeks of this horrible situation i can now move my neck but I still have pain and getting headaches everyday. It's been the worst experience of my life and has costed me a fortune! I am a mother of 3 girls (2,3, and 11). I have been unable to care for my children, my husband and my house hold duties for OVER 2 MONTHS. I've spent $3,000 on Drs. Visits, xrays, MRIs, new pillow and going to a chiropractor who does precision upper Cervical adjustments without twisting the neck. I will also start physical therapy soon and that will be another $3000+ (and that's with insurance) I'm writing this review because i don't want Anyone to experience what i have experienced. EVER. It has been pure hell. I will also add that it is my opinion that you should never go to a chiropractor who doesn't X-ray you before your adjustment. It could be very dangerous. I came here and walked in and got helped within about 30 minutes which was awesome but one thing they didn't tell you is they give you a 10 dollar off coupon for new customers and Yelp is your $10 off coupon for checking in so you should try to get both of them at the same time they make you think that you're only supposed to take it one and not the other but a lot of people report that they're able to use both which gives $20 off your first visit. The Joint Chiropractic - Not a 420 place... - Chiropractors Near Me - Huntington Beach, California

I had been looking for a chiropractic place that is close to my boyfriend's house so that when I am there, I can get adjusted. I stumbled upon the Joint Chiropractic, and I did my research. Found online that they do a $29 Initial Visit for first-time patients (i guess normally it's $39), so I took advantage of that. I got my email, and over the weekend, I went there. The facility is very nice on the inside. The person at the front desk, Nina, was friendly and greeted me upon arrival. I filled out all their forms (there were a quite few) and then the chiropractor, Dr. Chandra, took me to the back to show me what chiropractic was all about. I was a little sketched out that the adjusting area is all open, but it's not like you need to undress or anything, so its the best utilization of their space. Dr. Chandra was very thorough when going over what chiropractic care was and its benefits, and the importance of maintaining care within chiropractic. He did what seemed like a manual "scan" of my body, pressing quite a bit on my back, mostly along my spine. He told me I was super tense. While he was adjusting me, he gave me a walkthrough of what exactly he was doing so I was completely aware of what he was doing and why. For my neck, he could tell I was extremely tense and would not relax, which I had to do in order for him to adjust me correctly. Once my adjustment was over, I felt a huge "crack" of relief in my neck and back. He joked with me that I was gassy since I literally released gas upon each adjustment (the gas release is what happens when you crack your back, knuckles, and of course, during adjustments). He gave me a recommended treatment plan for 2x a week for the first couple weeks, then maintenance of as needed. After that, I thanked him and went back up to the front to pay, and I was on my way. I did not end up committing to a plan since I do not live nearby, so I will probably just pay as I need to go, I will definitely come back again! read more
