Got a great adjustment from Dr Matt today. My back feels better already! I like to stop in here when I'm in the Fort O area.

I really wondered why this place had such bad reviews because my first few visits were good. After…read more12 years of daily pain from a nerve entrapment, I finally got some pain relief, if you can call tramadol relief. But it was better than nothing, I had a diagnosis and a hope of a cure. I have attended every appointment. I did the nerve block even though it was apparently just a diagnostic thing and not meant as a more permanent pain relief which is what I was told. Eventually I tried to schedule a nerve ablation and was informed that even though my insurance would cover it (I confirmed myself) that they did not charge insurance. Well, I don't have a grand laying around right now so I said it'd probably have to wait but I'd talk to Dr. Kaplan at my next appointment. At my next appointment, I waited nearly an hour past my appointment time, finally spoke to Dr. Kaplan and was told that they did indeed charge insurance and she would take care of it. I heard nothing from them for a week.... And then they finally called to schedule the procedure.... The day I was in the hospital with my husband who was having extensive surgery on both hands since both his thumbs had somehow become detached. I called them back two days later and said I needed to find out what the recovery time was because I now have a husband with no working hands which means I really need to be fully dinctioning until he heals in the next 4-6 months. I never received a call back and kind of forgot about it because taking care of 6 kids and a farm while teaching with no other adult help has had me a little busy. And today, I get a letter stating that I have been dismissed from the clinic for "failure to comply". Comply with what, exactly? I came to every appointment. I followed their drug instructions to the letter.... In fact, I didn't even get the last medication refill because my pcm told me she wouldn't treat my anxiety/ptsd if I continued to take it. So what exactly did I "not comply" with.... *follow up* They have called and claimed I popped positive for methamphetamine at my appointment on 11/18.... But showed nothing for the benzos I'm prescribed and take regularly. And then, after said supposedly positive test which was in November, they still put in a refill weeks later for pain medication. I was also prescribed promethazine on 11/12/25, 6 days before this drug test. Guess what pops positive for methamphetamines..... Promethazine. I know this because the exact same false positive happened with the exact same medication in 2022 when I was giving birth and I still have the signed affidavits from two pharmacists saying that it did.... A 36% chance in fact, higher depending on the manufacturer. And for the record, I tried to tell them at that appointment that I had been prescribed new medication and it wasn't in my file and they said it didn't matter. Sure. This kind of unethical bs is why chronic pain patients kill themselves. This clinic makes military doctors look good and I didn't even think that was possible. 13 years of absolute misery, finally get something resembling help and a hope that the problem can actually be fixed and they snatched that away because they're too damn stupid to log medications or know that medications can cause false positives. But no, clearly I woke up one day at the ripe old age of 43 and just randomly decided to do meth while knowing I was going to be drug tested. Absolute morons. Apparently in TN you don't get pain relief unless you want to run the risk of one of your allergies actually killing you by not taking your medication. I hope everyone in this place suffers some God awful injury and spends the rest of their lives in absolute misery. have the karma you so richly deserve.

Please don't let their kindness while you're spending your hard earned money with them fool you!!!!…read more I was a patient of theirs for approximately 18 years. They had had me on high doses of opioids and opioid pain patches. I just recently had to move out of state when I did they would not cover my care to detox me off of the patches and pills or cover me until I could get established with another pain management in the state I moved to. You just do not leave a patient in physical and emotional distress the way they did me be aware of this before you go see them.

I would not recommend this place for long term treatment. It was good for the first few years, but that's it. I stayed on the same dosage for almost 5 years with not so much as feedback from the doctor despite me telling the doctor my condition had gotten worse. My advice is to find a doctor that cares and listens to your concerns.

I've seen about 15 different doctors, specialist, surgeons.. etc. in the last 4 years , I've had several different surgeries, painful test and procedures, gone through so many different medications and had to deal with their side effects. My life has been totally shattered. Today was my first visit with Dr. Ball, I had heard that he was very kind from several of my own patients, being a nurse I always want to know how my patients feel about the specialist that we refer out to. They've all said that he was so kind, so helpful, and most said he helped them regain their lives back. I can't even express how correct they were, he is so kind spoken, his bed side manner is amazing, and I really felt like he saw me, that he felt my misery and really wants to help. I did not feel like just a number or that I should feel ashamed of the fact that I'm in daily pain and need help. Tomorrow when I return to work, I will give all the details to the doctor that I work for and we will only refer to him in the future. People who hurt everyday, all day, need help ! They don't need to be judged or treated as if they are drug seekers, or be made to feel ashamed. Yes there is an opioid epidemic ( I didn't get opioids) but even if I did the epidemic and street use has made it so hard for people who are suffering and need help from these medication types to get the medications that would help them to be able to enjoy and live life. The entire office worked very smoothly , everyone knew their job and stayed right on time completing task that were needed done before I seen Dr. Ball. I was so impressed by the stream line, and time management. If you are looking for someone and need help, please consider Dr.Ball... he can help you without making you feel ashamed or apologetic that you need pain management.

Those reviews are from such a long time ago. Dr. Fox has one of the highest quality of employees. From Dr Fox, the office manager, the lab workers, my Nurse Practitioner, her assistant, and the front of the office. They are all top notch professionals, kind, caring, and compassionate. It is one of the only offices of the many I go to that do not treat you like a number on a file. They encourage me to take my time explaining my issues AND THEY LISTEN ! They treat me with kindness and respect ALWAYS. The entire office is very responsive to any and all my needs. Weather it is rescheduling an appointment or a new type of pain that has started, the employees at Active Healthcare go above and beyond to help me. I have seen them treat other patients and the "office culture" runs true throughout. Patients and their caregivers are treated with dignity and respect. I would Not recommend any office other than ACTIVE HEALTHCARE for weight loss, aging maintenance and Pain Management, etc.

I switched Pain Centers about 6 months ago and Dr Fox actually took the time to examine me and introduce himself. My last place never even looked at my back plus I never met the doctors only staff and PA. Rachael is a very good listener and takes the time to get to know you as a person. You never feel rushed and treated like an assembly line at a factory. She is very intelligent and very compassionate on what she does. Chelsea is also very nice and I enjoy going there every month. The staff are very professional (everyone is). As busy as they are they always smile and take good care of you. Teresa Mustaffa
