I had a disappointing experience with the reception process at the Palomar location. Yesterday, I was denied by the receptionist, and today I have been waiting for approximately 50 minutes past my scheduled 11:00 AM appointment. During this time, I observed around six guests who arrived after me being checked in before I was assisted. I understand delays can happen, but the lack of communication and apparent disregard for appointment order was frustrating. I hope this can be reviewed so future guests receive a more organized and timely check-in experience. read more

I've been coming to this location since they opened around 2019 or so. They started out with quality chiropractors, but then they started to get really bad. I went in last week to give it one more shot, and to be honest, I was planning on canceling my membership. But I noticed a lot seemed to have changed. The young lady at the counter was so nice and polite. Her vibes were very pleasant. And my chiropractor was Dr. Lars...and he was great. Prior to him, they would adjust both sides and your neck and say bye. But Dr. Lars actually adjusted everything and quite efficiently. Needless to say, I'm going to keep my membership and give it another try. Only "con" I had was... I hated waiting in the adjustment area while another patient was getting adjusted. I felt uncomfortable for the other patient. And same thing when someone was in there waiting for my adjustment to finish. Although it's no big deal for me, I'm sure it's awkward for others to talk about your pains and ailments in front of strangers. Keep in mind, there is a Lobby here with multiple chairs, and I have no problem waiting in the waiting room for the previous patient to leave. I'm sure others would feel the same. read more

Dr Lars is a wonderful chiropractor. I was hit and run in a car accident on the 5 freeway and started experiencing severe, constant lower back pain. After seeing Dr Lars ONE time, his adjustment relieved the misalignment. I continued after this to see Dr Lars 1-2x weekly for about four months, and feel great. My insurance offered to cover my care in another location- this is the only reason I stopped my membership here. Pricing for military is very reasonable and Dr Lars is super knowledgeable and kind. I've been going to The Joint for a while now. I'll tell you that I love Dr. Lars. He cares probably too much. He listens to your concerns and actively points you in the right direction. My daughter plays softball at a high level resulting in aches and pains. He works with her and always has pointers to improve posture, strength, and diet. He is the only one I will let work on her. Sure sure. The con of sometimes waiting. You either deal with it or you hate it. I deal with it because I don't have to stay on a strict schedule and plan my day around it. I had an appointment at noon and waited over an hour to be seen. While I waited, 3 other people came in AFTER I arrived and were seen before me. My husband was with me and although the chiropractor knew that the appointment was for me, he proceeded to address my husband, not make eye contact with me and asked my husband about his chiropractic care experience and added that "it's important to see a chiropractor for overall health." Keep in mind that my husband was not there to be treated but simply accompanied me to my appointment. Clearly he was much more interested in my husband than the fact that I was there for my scheduled appointment. Completely unprofessional and gross. This treatment made us both very uncomfortable. On top of it all, he was talking loud enough with his patient behind the wall asking what nationality they were and basically wasting time and not respecting other's time. When he was done wasting time, he came back up to the front and by this point 5 other walking were in the waiting room and he once again skipped me, who had an appointment an hour prior. In the end, I was not seen. I was not going to waste another minute of my time. I grabbed my paperwork and left. I have never experienced this level of unprofessional by a business. They owed us one more which took a while to get it done. Then they tell us it's too late because there's a cycle. That is so freaking unfair. We got cheated the first time when we said to cancel and got cheated the second for not completing our visit. So hell no!!! Because all they did was repeatedly same thing all the time. Again!!! I've been visiting this location off and on for about a year or so and have enjoyed working with every chiropractor on staff. Dr. J, even though he is dry and swift at his job, is my absolute favorite. I am so glad to have met him. He helped me through what I did not realize was a pretty significant injury. What I find is that he will not offer much information outright. But the moment you begin asking questions, he is very patient, attentive and thorough. That said, come with your self-advocacy suit on. Only thing I despise -- deeply, deeply despise -- about this location are the wait times. It is not uncommon to wait 30 to 45 minutes. Staff was nice and professional. My only issue is they have an open layout where the consultation and treatment happens in the same area with other patients. There is no privacy for the consult. Truly awful, I tried the monthly package because it seemed to be an affordable package. I tried it out but realized I was too busy for it and therefore, I wanted to cancel. I found out that there is a 2 month minimum, they didn't care to disclose it to me before and told me that I signed a contract. I understand that I should've read the contract first but I'm a customer first and shouldn't be received with stringent requirements or conditions. Horrible experience this was my second visit. The first time I felt like the doctor didn't listen to me. Adjusted my back quickly and when I voiced my concerns about the treatment area they were dismissed. I went again and requested a different doctor. I had a worse experience. He lectured me on how often I should get adjusted like a kid, all but called me overweight, and again my area of treatment concerns were dismissed. I've had a great experience with Dr. Barry & Dr. Salmon. Both were very patient and left my body feeling balanced. If it weren't for them, I'd leave 1 star because of Dr. Header. He was the worst chiropractor I've seen in my 12 years of receiving adjustments. He was rude, prideful, and he only adjusted one side of my body. He said it was because I only have one spine. He belittled me when I asked why he only "cracked" one side of my body. He chuckled and said (in a condescending manner), "Chiropractors adjust; we don't crack." Not only is his practice unlike anything I've ever experienced (every chiropractor I've seen has adjusted Both sides of my body - left and right), but his customer service was terrible. Exceptional service deserves major credit and this establishment deserves all of it - 10/10! Came in today (Thursday) around 10:30AM for neck pain that has been progressively getting worse over the past year. Prior to coming in, I downloaded the "New Patient Forms" from the website and filled it out completely to reduce the wait time. Upon arriving, I was greeted by Daniella with a warm smile and was welcomed in. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Oku called me back and I explained to him my situation. Dr. Oku was very knowledgeable and compassionate towards me and my needs for my neck pain. After his exam and adjustment - I am happy to report that my neck problems have subsided and will be back for more adjustments in the future! I have a problem everytime I come in with the older Mexican receptionist. She turns me a way 3/3 times I've dealt w her in the front. The quality of the chiropractors here are great. But the only receptionist find a reason everytime to turn me away. This is the only location I've had this problem with. After the first time she did that I left and came back the next day then she couldn't find me in the system I asked for her to Allow the chiropractor for help found me in 10 seconds. I've been going to the Joint for several years but this is my first time back since the pandemic. I was disappointed by several things. First I expected things to be well sanitized because of Covid but the table was not cleaned or wiped down after the patient before be. I saw this first hand, The patient got up at the doctor through away the paper that covers the face part of the table and put a new one but did not wipe down any other part of the table with any type of sanitizing product. Second I told the doctor that I was in a lot of pain and had a really bad knot in my back and he only adjusted me in four different spots on my back and was more concerned about lecturing me that I should be coming in more often since it's been over a year since my last visit. When I said I understand but I just would like to be treated for what I came in for today he kind of gave me an attitude and cut my session short. No neck adjustment or anything else. Third the front desk person asked me several times about signing up for one of their plans. I get that this place is based off of commission and they're trying to make money but it just rubbed me the wrong way that they are more focused on money than helping a person who is in a lot of pain. This was my last time going there. I'm giving one star because the pricing is really good. read more

Came here as a new patient walk in on two days ago. Linda at the front desk was very friendly and professional. I filled out the forms and waited about 30 minutes to be seen which was not bad at all. I pulled my lower back area working out so that was what brought me here. They have a great deal for first appointment at $29 and great monthly plans. I came back today for my second adjustment and decided on the $79 plan which includes 4 adjustments per 30 day cycle. Which is an excellent deal considering most chiropractors run average about 45 a visit. I saw dr. Justin who was friendly and quick, he adjusted my entire back and neck. Today's visit was a total of about 15 minutes which includes checking in, signing up for the plan, and being seen. Can't wait to be back and get my spine adjusted regularly especially because I work out almost daily. Would recommend if you need pain relief. Office is clean as well. read more

Not a good experience nor a great manager. Came in from out of town for my wife (who's bday is today) to get an adjustment. She has been in pain and needed the visit. She was unable to be seen because we had frozen her acct due to Covid, and it could not be unfrozen without her "home" Joint location unfreezing it. The location was closed today so it couldn't be done. JESSICA, the acting manager was not willing to okay a one-time visit for my wife (and take payment). Jessica would eventually build up an attitude with us while my wife is pain needing her adjustment. Although she noted the chiropractor on shift today was not willing to open a second file for my wife, I made the mistake in thinking the manager could help. Location is wack. Manager is wack.
