Disclaimer: this was my first visit ever to any chiropractor. I was experiencing some pain for the second time this month and I decided my body was trying to tell me to take care of it. I found The Joint online and hey had a special deal for first time clients, so I jumped on it, especially because I didn't have to make an appointment. After listening to my concerns and hearing every bone in my body pop the chiropractor explained to me the problem, I feel much better already!! He was very attentive and listened to every little detail to make the proper diagnosis. My only complaint is the building's setup, the back is a room of about 8 beds and while he was with me another client was sitting in the room. I would have preferred more privacy. Minus one star for that, but everything else was smooth! read more

Mixed view of the chiropractors at The Joint. My opinion is colored by the fact one of the chiropractors torqued by back, and after a week, I am still having trouble walking normally. To give credit where credit is due, another chiropractor tried to correct the other chiropractor's damage. But I still am having trouble. The purpose of going to a chiropractor is to alleviate pain and get help, unfortunately I felt chastised and feel in more discomfort. After waiting for what felt like a lifetime I was sat down and adjusted for less than two minutes one of the worst investments I've ever made. I felt like I was being talked down to and the "doctor" refused to give me any stretches to work on at home. When I asked what I should report to a Physical Therapist (because he was inept and didn't help at all) he said and I quote "I only work on bones, anything else isn't my problem". The unprofessional nature was unparalleled and if you are looking for help stay far away from this location. I am writing this the next day in more pain than when I arrived. He even had the audacity to try to sell me on their monthly plan because that is when "real improvement happens", I only feel pain and the need to go to an orthopedic surgeon. At checkout their system was down and they had me sign a payment receipt without writing the price on it and saying they'll charge me at a later date, had to tell the receptionist to put the charge on paper because I couldn't trust such a fraudulent establishment. I was in a bit of an urgent situation with a jacked up lower back. I am driving across country and desperately needed an adjustment but they turned me down because they said they don't take first time patients after 6:30 pm because they close at 7pm. I arrived at 6:35pm and even though I was desperate and told them so they sent me away. Even the Dr. Said "no and you can tell him I said so". You would think a Dr. Of all people would be the one to offer help in this kind of situation. Getting in my car to drive another 10 hours with a bad lower back. I walked in as a first timer to chiropractic care and figured I'd give it a shot since my neck was killing me. After exhaustively filling out several pages of medical history, i handed the receptionist the forms, and 20 bucks for a walk in session, Within 2 minutes, a chiropractor sat me down, flipped through my records without reading a thing, and proceeded to jerk my whole back and neck around at a frightening and painful speed. The whole process with this quack medical professional took about 4 minutes and my neck felt exactly as bad as when i walked in. He recommended that I go get a message the next day, then come back to him on the day following that. Don't think so buddy, I think my money is better spent on preventative exercise and stretching. Don't go here unless you like handing over money to pseudo-science practicing, risk-taking clowns. read more

I fell in a ditch on highway US-36 and the butt of the car hit the wall of the ditch. I had whiplash initially, but that went away after 2 days. After a week or two I could feel pressure on my back and I new there had to be something out of place and since the discomfort was escalating I decided on The Joint. This was my first time using one and it was great. Walked in and signed some papers, he did his thing (took 10 minutes), I paid 20 and went about my day and I haven't felt better. There was some soreness but its different from what I was feeling before, I can definitely feel the difference especially when I bend down. read more

I have been seeing chiropractors for over 20 years (and The Joint for nearly 5 years) so my back is used to being adjusted and generally adjusts easily. I have not had many problems with Boulder's Joint until the last 6 months. I have noticed that the docs are all new and some aren't very good. I am getting ready to go back to get a re-fix (the 2nd time in less than 3 months) Right now the only competent Doc is Jim. If i can't get him i won't go. My other criticisms are: lack of attention to customer service and quality (ie docs don't introduce themselves and there is no formal way for customers to evaluate the docs. The Joint is Fast Food Chiropractics....i wouldn't recommend it for someone who has never been to a Chiro before. And i wouldn't recommend it now unless you see Jim. The quality of the other providers is not consistent and sometimes absent. read more

My girlfriend Kylee and I went to the joint yesterday 7/15 after I called and asked what time they closed, I was told 5pm. Our friend is a chiropractor but wasn't available so we thought we'd give the joint a try as Kylee was in a lot of pain. We arrived at 4:32pm and were told that they didn't have time to see her but to fill out the paperwork for another time? Wow!!! What a joke! I would not recommend this chiropractor. I went as a new patient, and was told it would be an hour wait. When I first arrived it was empty, but as I was filling out my paperwork 5-6 people arrived who were bumped ahead of me. I was told by the receptionist that the chiropractor prefers to see all established patients prior to seeing any new ones. The receptionist recommended returning in one hour. Which I did, only to be told again that it would be an hour wait. Unless you have a lot of free time to sit around, don't go to this place! read more

First of all, this place is incredible. painless, efficient, and most importantly, effective! I was recommended to come in from a friend, and to be honest, I was incredibly skeptical. I had always heard that chiropractic work was painful, and that scared me. I was 100% wrong! The adjustments I have had from Dr. Jeremy and Dr. Rob have helped me so much. I used to get headaches (some mild, some severe) every single day, and since I've been going in to get adjusted, I haven't had a single headache. I've tried acupuncture, massage, and regular over the counter medication, and nothing has helped nearly as much as visiting The Joint once a week. Although I've only been adjusted by these two doctors, I am thoroughly impressed with the work they've done, and it has changed my life for the better. Thank you so much guys!!! If I could give zero stars I would. THIS PLACE IS FRAUD, CLIENT BEWARE!!! I signed up for seven sessions and was told the price was 108.00 total for all the sessions. I was asked if I wanted them to keep my card on file. When I asked why they needed to have my card on file, are they going to charge me again? The sales lady told me no they just needed to keep my card on file. I give them a card I never use, but after one month I find out there is a 79.00 charge on my card. When I called them to inquire what this charge is for, they told me it was a monthly charge. I also only went in for four sessions and the other sessions expired and I was not warned that they could expire. When I told them this is not what I was told at the time I signed up. Their response was, "it does not matter what you were told, you signed a contract". Just read the reviews, there are soo many others complaining about fraud charges. read more

The people there were friendly... Everyone there treated me relatively nicely, however I have been to this location 3 times in the past two weeks. Both times they adjusted me horribly, I was in more pain when I left than when I went in, and they dont explain to me what is wrong or how to prevent my problem in the future without pulling teeth. Even when I do multiple times they will dodge my question. I had to go see a different chiropractor in the middle of last week to be adjusted properly, and I was out of Boulder. Again, today I was in pain and when I went to be adjusted and they spent almost no time with me, and just as per usual I had to tug some preventative measures out of him and I was out the door. They were not busy, and they spent the same amount of time with me as they did with the other customers in the store. They have speed of service, but not in a constructive fashion. Simply to get you in and out of their store as quickly as possible. Since then I have been in more pain than I have from any other adjustment, and my body is back out of sorts- only worse!! read more

I was such a skeptic, and after 4 days of extreme pain in my upper right shoulder blade area, and after getting a 90 min massage and taking Advil and using cooling lotions, I was willing to try anything to ease the pain. I saw Dr. Mike Sanders, it took less than 10 mins, he adjusted my left shoulder, the right side of my neck and my lower spine, and voila!!! I felt like it was witchcraft!!! All of my mobility returned, my pain was GONE! I honestly just starting laughing. I just couldn't believe it!! Even just a 25% decrease in pain would have been worthy of the money and time ($29 new joiner special), however my pain decreased by about 90%. He told me to ice the area when I got home, so that's what I'm doing as I write this review! THRILLED!!!!!!!! read more

The Joint used to at least seem liked they cared...now its "Lets see how fast we can turn em and burn em". The Joint has become the McDonalds of chiropractics. On the computer screens in the treatment area you can see their sales for the day....how motivating it must be for those "Doctors" to see how much money they are making while they display terrible bed side manner and rush through seeing you while being careless and jacking up your back and arm instead of helping you. Then when you call to report the problem the receptionist says "I'm sorry I can't do more for you" when in fact she had done nothing but listen to the complaint. Thank you joint for jacking me up and serving me C grade cheeseburger style adjustments .....glad your profiting. read more

The one doctor that I used was great. I happened to stop by when he was not in and got another Dr. Without even knowing anything about me he looked at me and said, 'YOUR TOO OLD AND YOU NEED TO STOP RUNNING." Not old, no reason to stop running and wanted a adjustment not a lecture. I recently had a MRI and guess what Dr. has not clue, my MRI was amazingly perfect! NO compression, no issues, NOTHING! The front desk situation is awful as well. I'm stilly waiting for someone to call me back since NOVEMBER! Called several times, no help. Sadly, the good doctors are good, it's a crap shoot and not worth risking my health to test out whatever mood or whatever dr. you might just get on the other days. Oh p/s we live in Boulder, no one is giving up running or being active pal. read more

First timer for chiropractic services and to The Joint. I came on a whim - I was in the parking lot to visit another store, complaining on the phone to someone about my hip hurting (from increased running recently) and the pain radiating into my lower back. My friend suggested a chiropractor since I couldn't get into PT this week. I looked online and saw mixed reviews (nothing alarming) for this walk-in chiro place literally 20 feet from my car. Went in and the receptionist was kind and friendly, and within 15-20 of walking in, I got service from Jeremy. He was very kind and attentive to my situation. He helped align my hips and gave me stretches and suggestions for home care (especially for an upcoming road trip I will be on). I will be coming in after the road trip for another hip alignment. Nice, affordable, quick, friendly service in a clean place. Will update my review to 5 stars if the service continues to be excellent in the coming weeks. read more

Dr Sean Padgett is the most professional and caring Dr. I have ever known. He respectfully adjusts you in your comfort zone and assists you in making the right decisions for your life. He was my Dr in Florida and helped me come to terms with my injuries and helped me make the right choices for care. I miss him so much but will be going to Denver for an adjustment soon. read more

Some of the worst service I've had at a chiropractic office. I got turned away from having an adjustment because they "didn't have enough time" even though I was there an hour before closed. Now I get to go on vacation with a screwed up back. Please for your own health go to a different place to get adjusted. read more

After my terrible first visit I decided to go back to a different location of the joint I ended up getting a membership at the longmont location. I came back to the boulder location just because the convenience of the location. Dr. Jeremy did my adjustment and he was honestly the sweetest person ever. He listened to my concern and his adjustment was very gentle and made me feel calm. I can honestly say the only reason I keep coming back it's because of him and I will walk out if I can't see him. Also the front desk person who turn me away and was extremely rude has been replace or I just haven't seen her. The blonde in the front is so sweet and tries to establish a pleasing conversation with each patient that comes in. I really think the brunette in the front needs to be retrained to be more understanding with the customers. If it wasn't because of Dr. Jeremy I would never had come back. read more

I love the staff at the Joint in Boulder. The DC's and the CA are excellent. The DC actually read my chart (which states I prefer lighter adjustments). The CA actually knows what she's doing in the office. I was going to a closer location and after it was sold the DC's rotate in and out and none of the DC's I like to be adjusted by are available. Go to the Boulder location you'll love it. read more

While it's true this place is affordable and the doctors are competent, the former post about them offering inexpensive massage must be outdated since that is not the case. My own experiences there have not been positive. As such, I will not be going back. Simply put, they lack compassion. read more

I went to this place after an ankle injury on a weekend. I called this place since they were the only ones open on weekends. What a horrible experience!! My ankle was bruised and swollen so I had a temporary self adhering bandage that was tied around my ankle to ease the swelling. The doctor did not even bother to remove the bandage to take a look at the swelling or the injury. He said he could feel it through the bandage and said that there was nothing to worry and even if there was a fracture it would be visible after a week. All that he did was adjusted my neck and spine (although i had no issues with my neck/spine). He wanted me to get a membership package (prepaid). Don't spend money on this place. It is not worth the time or money. read more

This place used to be great when Jay and Jeremy were running the shop. Both of them did effective, quick adjustments that felt good. They have moved on to open other shops and hired two new guys to do the actual adjustments. One guy is OK, but not nearly as good as the owners. The second guy is young - literally just out of chiropractic school and he is awkward. On several occasions he has applied what felt like too much pressure or the wrong adjustment for both me and my husband. It got to the point where we felt wary about the adjustments and quit our membership. It's too bad because the people are nice and it's a great concept, (and price!) but the quality of the chiropractors has really diminished. It's your spine - trust it to someone who knows what they are doing. read more

I came for first time today in pain. I wanted to just pay cash and not use insurance so I only filled out the forms with my age but no birthday. The Dr made a big deal out of me not wanting to give my birth date and said rather sarcastically "would you not give your birthday on a normal Dr visit, what is so hard?" I explained that I would just rather not, and then was going to cave when he repeated "what is so hard?" again. At that point, I would not want that jerk touching me. I left. I went to the Joint many many times its first few years. I loved that I could get a good, quick adjustment for $20. Now that ownership has changed, the price has doubled and their sleight-of-hand "contract" is an insult. I won't be back. Dime-a-dozen chiros are all over the place. this place has lost its edge and its "cool." Just another racket job in ever declining and once-great Boulder. Blah is the new operative word in increasingly vanilla Boulder and the joint is a perfect example why. Hell, with the new bag tax, i don't even shop in Boulder anymore. read more

they rock. I've been going to chriropractors for over a decade and have had all kinds. I've seen at least a dozen or so and these guys are just fine. For 20$ you can't beat it. It IS a good idea that you know your body and for those with major issues you may consider a 'regular' one just to get started and then see these guys for maintenance. Also, I suggest telling them if you still feel "out" when they are done and they will check you again and not let you leave till you feel "right". They even did a great adjustment for my toddler son! read more
