Mediocrely service but billing is horrible. They have been billing me since March without my permission. I requested in person on my last visit but the girl at reception was too busy with her phone. I have called and left messages several times with requests to call me and confirm they would cancel. I have never been called back or emailed as requested. I will be taking they to small claims couplet when I return to the US in December. Avoid this trap. Response to Claire: Thank you for your reply. But a couple of things. I have reached out. Spoke to the receptionist like I have done three years in a row as I leave the country and have never had to fill out anything. Why didn't the girl offer these forms? She just said ok and thanks. Why weren't the forms sent as a reply to my numerous calls and emails? Why haven't you offered the forms? Oh yeah, you are the main beneficiary! So, while you may have the fine print to fall back on, I hope that the readers of this review understand that The Joint just wants the money to continue to be drafted. Been going here a couple years and sad that I had to cancel due to leaving the area. Just wanted to rate and comment my experience for those looking at reviews of different chiropractors for one that meets their needs like I once was when I found this place! Overall, my experience was what I expected from the other reviews I had read in here: First- yes, a payment plan is mostly involved (that's the cheapest route for continued service). It runs like most payment plans in my opinion. For those of you who have never been on one- yes, they charge you the same rate each month regardless of if you maximize your use of their services and yes, you have to cancel within a certain timeframe (30 days) to not be charged the upcoming month. The bad reviews made me weary of the "payment plan", but didn't look like anything I hadn't handled before. 2 years later- I had no issues! Most months I made it in for all 4 adjustments, sometimes I missed one and that was on me. I gave plenty of notice for cancelling, so was not charged for a month that I won't be here to use. Not sure how people in previous comments weren't able to make it in for months- I work full time, do school part time, have a crazy kid, a house that always needs work, and errands that always need run- it's a 5 minute stop out of your week. Which brings me to 2: Second, the review that described this place as a "drive-thru chiropractor" nailed it! If you are having terrible back pain, maybe see your doctor and get some xrays. This place is more for minor back aches and regular spinal maintenance. The chiropractors here are all legit, but this place is only focused on adjustments for healthy alignment- no xrays and solid diagnosis or workout plans like more expensive chiropractors might have. Long-story short: if you're comfortable signing up for a payment plan and are looking for a quick alignment on a regular basis- this is your place! read more

Two times I was met with a note on the door saying that they were not in that day. The last time I showed up and was simply refused service because they wanted to go home early. Oh Mamma! I love this place. Each visit is only about 3-5 min, but I feel amazing afterwards. The head chiropractor here is charismatic and knowledgeable. It also helps that he his built like a ton of bricks because I'm 6'5" and 350 bills. I understand that a chiropractor doesn't need to be built, but it just gives me a bit more confidence in the guy. Trust me, this place is worth the money if you are looking for routine adjustments. Go elsewhere if you are looking for an hour long physical therapy/ chiropractic sessions. read more

These places are interesting and it's like drive through chiropractic care. If you are someone who has had an accident or really hurt yourself I would NOT suggest this style of care. But, if you are someone like me, who goes routinely to keep in line then it's perfect. No fuss, no muss, in, out and feel better. The chiropractor here was good but the way that this facility does business is unethical. We recently relocated to this area but have always visited the chiropractor regularly so we went here. My husband signed up for the $59 a month special where he would get 4 visits a month. With his new work schedule he has been unable to return but we saw they had taken another $59 from our account so I went to cancel with them knowing the $118 would not be recovered, they then told me they would be taking another $59 at the end of the month for not giving 30 day notice on canceling. I have never written a Yelp review before, but this place was upsetting enough that I just thought people needed to know. The other reviews say to avoid the payment plan, THIS IS A MUST. if you fail to use the 4 adjustments they give you a month for any reason, sick/kids/work it won't matter you'll still get charged and won't receive any service. The only way to cancel the minimum 6 month subscription is if you move away 30 miles and even then they'll try and charge you for the months you won't even be there! It was ridiculous and I'm disappointed I had to pay for 2 months worth of visit I wasn't able to attend due to work. The only reason I was able to get out of the rest of the contract was because I received orders to another state and even then it was a pain and a hardship. Can't believe some of these places. Dr. Massa first helped me with my back 14 months ago. For 40 years, every few months my back would go out. After he helped me through a pretty bad week of pain, my back has NOT gone out since. My husband and I decided to try this chiropractor after moving to the Augusta area. We showed up an hour and 25 Minutes before they closed one day and were informed that they weren't taking any more new patients that day and that we should have shown up and hour and 30 minutes before they closed in order to get in... This was after my husband called this location earlier in the day and the person he spoke to said we would be fine as long as we arrived 30 minutes before closing.
