The Garcia Mortgage Team is amazing. I had a usual request and they made it happen for me…read more I was purchasing a condo in the Tower Grove East neighborhood in St Louis and wanted to pay cash. However, I did not want to pull from my investments or retirement funds. I just wanted a short term loan, to make the purchase and then pay off when my house sold. I also did not want any penalties for early pay off. Sue King came up with an easy plan and everything went as smooth as silk. She even got me a reasonable interest rate for the equity loan. I bought the condo, sold my house and paid off the loan within two months. It was kind of robbing Peter to pay Paul, but it worked. If Sue and the Garcia Mortgage Team can do this for me, I can only imagine what they could do for a real "mortgage". They went well and beyond in customer service, to meet their clients needs.

There's a rep at a kiosk as soon as you come in the door ready to assist you with getting signed in to speak with the financial services representatives. There are only 3 bank tellers but the lines move quickly. There are two walk-up atms outside. The parking lot is small and easily gets congested. This is a smaller branch so seating inside is limited. I would suggest only brining people in that need to be present.

Demand for Resolution…read more Dear Haven Home Equity (Top Flight Financial) I am writing to formally complain about the handling of my refinancing application and to demand a prompt resolution. I was recently informed by your credit department that my application was denied because my mortgage company processed an escrow modification. This is unacceptable, especially since my mortgage payments have been current since July 2025. Throughout the two-month process, Tim and other representatives repeatedly led me to believe that my loan would close without issue. I was specifically told, "I see no reason why your loan would not be approved." At no point was I clearly advised that approval was uncertain or that unresolved issues could prevent closing. I completed extensive paperwork, provided documents that were not required, and repeatedly requested updates and return calls, many of which never occurred. I also paid nearly $700 for an appraisal based on your representations that the loan was moving forward. I was even advised to miss a car payment to help cover the cost, which forced me to make a double payment later. This experience has caused serious financial and emotional stress to me and my family and has negatively affected my health while I am fighting cancer. As a retired disabled veteran, I find your company's lack of professionalism and communication unacceptable. I am demanding: A full refund of the appraisal fee; A written explanation of the precise reason for denial and the documentation relied upon; A written apology for the misleading representations, delays, and poor communication; and A complete review of how my application was handled.this matter is not resolved, I have escalated it through your corporate chain of command and file complaints with the BBB and appropriate consumer-protection and regulatory agencies. I expect your company to take responsibility and provide a fair resolution. I have filed this with the BBB

When I made the decision to move back to STL from suburban life in IL, I knew I wanted to use Garcia Properties as my agent. I support several of their restaurants along Kingshighway and like how they truly believe in the city. The day I stopped in to start the process, I met with a young lady (forget her name) and she asked a variety of questions. She then matched me up with, Stefan Kelly. When we met, I told Stefan I wasn't under any time frame. My goal was to really find the perfect match. We worked as a team, I searched Zillow and followed other listings as well. I started out wanting a bungalow or some type of small house. Then I started looking at condos, as a possibility. Once I did that, I knew I was on the right track. Once I found the one that meet all my needs, Stefan and the Garcia team made it a reality. So, if you're looking for your first, or a new dream home, I highly recommend Garcia Properties.
