Although the secretary can be rude, she has been part of the staff for many years and a big community advocate. They provide early drop off which was convenient for me and the day ends at 5:30pm. I want to share my experience…read more... If you are a working family, especially a working mother this is NOT the place for you. Be prepared to pay over $300 and then take care of your child for weeks. Be prepared to take off lots of days. Between my husband and I, we took about 10 sick days in a span of 2 months. I would say 2 of those days were essential and I understood that my son had to stay home. They made me feel as if I was incapable of taking care of my child, or that I did not have the best interest in my child, and that I was lying just to take him to school. The director told me, "had a teacher not told you that your son had a bad cough, you probably wouldn't have done anything about it." Take this as you will, but to me this was such an insult to my capacity as a mother. My son entered when he was 6 months old, and I understood that he was going to get sick because it was his first daycare and also his older sister started 3K. I was called to pick up my son early due to a nasty cough. I completely understood why I had to get him and I brought him immediately to the doctor. The doctor reassured me that it was just a viral infection and that within 2 days he should be fine to go back to school. I even got him tested for Covd (he was negative). The daycare wanted to know exactly what he had (even though that violated our HIPPA rights). So I took him to another doctor for another opinion, she said the same thing. That it is difficult to know what exactly a baby this young has but that as long as he tested negative for covid and isn't having a fever he should be able to go to school. Not only did I have to provide a doctor's note, I also called the manager while I was at the doctor's office so that they could believe me. My son got sick again (not surprising). I did the same steps as before, took him to the doctor and got him tested for RSV, Flu. and Covid. He was tested positive for RSV. The doctor ressaured me that within 5 days he could go back to school. I kept him home an extra day just to be safe for him and everyone else. The doctor also reassured me that his cough would linger for weeks. So sure enough, I provide a note stating that he is negative for Covid and the return date. This again is not enough. They want to know the exact diagnosis and they said that they do not want any symptoms. But they also attempted to be helpful by saying that they will work with me only if his cough wasn't so alarming or consistent (very subjective). Then they started complaining about his loose stool. He is 6 months old. All he has is formula and purees. Plus he is teething. It is very normal (and again I took him to the doctor to reassure me that this was normal), for babies to get loose, sometimes very loose stools. I know I am his mother. But my son truly is the easiest calmest baby. I don't know if it was something against him or us. But it was clear to us, my doctor, and any other friends that I spoke to about this, that they wanted us out. My son was always happy when I took him and when we picked him up. The app is great and they will inform you of feedings and sleep. They will occasionally send you 1 picture a day. Sometimes they would send 2 other days they sent nothing. But the consistent witch hunt to find something wrong with my son was disturbing. He is now at a different daycare. They love him, I get multiple pictures a day, and no complaints!!!! Last time they called me during work, was to ask me what puree they can buy for my son! I had brought him when he still had his lingering cough. I explained to them what the doctor said and offered a note stating that he was no longer contagious and they completely understood.

I am beyond thankful everyday for the love, the fun, the diverse learning experience and the peace of mind we have knowing our kids are in the best care possible. Lorrelie, Mr. J, Miss Jolina and the entire staff are just absolutely wonderful. They love and care about every child in their school and are constantly providing new fun ways to learn and engage. I am blown away when my toddlers come home and know not just their colors but their colors in English and spanish, or when they learn all about the food pyramid and healthy nutrition, or how to paint laying down like Michelangelo, or all of the fun things they learn through their "science experiments".... I could obviously go on and on. This school focuses on letting kids be kids and loving them for who they are. If you care about your child having a well rounded PreK experience that is family oriented, communicative, caring, trustworthy and truly cares about community this is hands down your best option in Lyndhurst...we tried other schools and looked at other options and I feel so blessed that this is where we ended up. I will never be able to thank Ms. Lore and Mr. J enough for what they have done for my kids. My son was developmentally behind when starting here two years ago and this staff has been so inclusive, understanding and his biggest cheerleaders in all the progress he has made. Because of this environment he will be heading to kindergarten next year light years beyond where we ever could've hoped and with the confidence to continue to thrive and develop in an neurotypical environment! this daycare Offers great service for children and babies. when u walk in, the place is clean and…read morethey have tempered glass on the desk to seperate children due to covid. i Took my daughter there because they offered 24 hour services and on the weekends which I needed the most due to my work schedule. They also say They taught my child her ABCs and other learning songs. Now, the daycare wasn't bad, it was close to home and I get to do a double shift at work if I needed it. now my issue is: 1 day when I was at work, I got a phone call from the day care , with the owner in a panic as she tells me my daughter just fell off a chair.( the chair is about less than a foot off the ground and it had padding on the floor). So when she said she fell , I said don't worry about it (this was a face time call), and she looks fine to me. so I decided to stay at work and do a double. She called me in the morning and she was giving me updates throughout the day about my daughter's well-being. however around 7pm, she sent me a pic of my daughter and her right eye was very red and it looked bad. Being that I had a couple more hours at work, I decided to stay due to the fact that she wasn't crying and acting normally , I decided to finish my shift. My shift would be done by 11pm. at 9 am I called my cousin and sent her the pic and she was very upset, she told her mom and her mom decided to Call the owner and asked what happened my aunt asked what was the child to staff ratio and she couldn't even answer it. She told my aunt 1-2 as in 2 children to 2 adults. my aunt then said she was understaffed. the owner then said no, she isn't because she claimed there were enough staff. It was 4 children there with 2 adults . My aunt then asked how many staff takes care of 1 infants. She couldn't answer that straight forward as she said there were 1 staff to 1 toddler and an infant. My cousin worked at a daycare and she was telling me that according to the law you can not have 1 adult to an infant and a to toddler. It has to be 2 adults to 1 infant . (My child is of course considered an infant). anyways, what really got me upset was when my aunt tried to ask Her exactly what happened and she kept going around in circles . She first said to me that she fell off a chair trying to reach for a toy then she told my aunt she was playing with another child and she fell and hit her head on the chair. I left work immediately because now I don't know what' Really happened. When I got there I asked her where she was and she told me she was right next to her. So I said how could you let her fall? She then said to me that it happened so fast. I really think that she wasn't there at all and wasn't paying attention to my child and now she doesn't even know what really happened. When I looked at my daughter's eye I noticed a cut on her eye. I went to the hospital when I left the daycare , thankfully they said everything was fine and put Bacitracin on her eye for the cut. I also Did a follow up with her doctor and she said everything will be fine and the bruises We're superficial nothing deep . Bottom line is, this daycare was negligent to my child and I was paying for their service! They should be treating my child like their own! That's why I paid my money! I should be able to leave my child somewhere knowing that she would be in good hands. This wasnt a free service. this was terrible. Accident or not. You left my 1 year old alone and she had an accident and you can't tell me what happened because you weren't there! If you put your child in this daycare good luck! because she doesn't have enough staff to watch your child.
