What a great day to celebrate Mother's Day with a lavish and extensively, delicious brunch! They pulled out all the stops from New York strip carve steaks to chicken, salmon, turkey, all the sides you can think of and desserts galore. Coffee, orange juice, apple juice, chocolate milk were included, and we were told soda was included, but then they added $2.50 per soda! The server admitted it was her mistake but didn't credit it! How can all of the nonalcoholic beverages except soda be included? Then there's the credit card surcharge. When you're spending hundreds of dollars and you only put 50% percent of the bill on a credit card, the third charge should only apply to that other 50%! That is like stealing! However, It was very relaxing and they did not rush us at all. Kate our server was incredibly amazing and friendly, giving us a great experience, except for the bill snafu. The only thing I didn't like was the bill snafu and not making good on a promise and fixing a mistake. It is good customer service to do those things and makes people feel good about the experience at the end overall. We did however appreciate the vegan option of the vegetable sandwich which came freshly prepared and warm in a banquet style covered dish, which was a very nice touch. read more

For us the main benefit was it was better than sleeping in the car, otherwise poor logistics. Rooms not ready, unclean. Do not stay here.

I was surprised to see this hotel rates so low. We really enjoyed our recent stay at The Ingleside Hotel. Our room was clean, the water park was the perfect size, and the arcade wasn't too crowded. It was also close to restaurants and only 20 mins from Milwaukee. I appreciated the the hotel let us have access to the waterpark early due to spring break and also had free appetizers from 4-6 due to Spring Break. There was also a "regular" pool that was far less crowded than the waterpark that was not accessible to non-hotel guests. I do agree that the locker room and restrooms are way too small, but that's not an issue that can be fixed overnight. Definitely something to consider for future renovations. read more

I feel so sorry for this establishment... to date (03/29/23) the thumbnail image for The Ingleside Hotel is a gross stain on a duvet. And that's just NOT a fair representation of our experience here. Starting with the service, I was impressed with the friendliness of every employee I interacted with. I was greeted with a smile from several employees while walking through the hallways, and when I had questions ("Where's the ice machine?") I was given a kind and warm response. My wife did have an issue reaching the front desk (no one answered the phone during a few attempts over a 30min time span), so that was disappointing. I know there are a lot of complaints around cleanliness, but we didn't have an issue in our room (executive suite, king... thanks to my stepsister and family!). Even the pullout bed smelled fresh and the sheets were new and clean. Oh, we didn't use the coffee maker, but we were sad to see that someone had previously not understood how to use it and put coffee grounds in the part where the water is supposed to go. Oops. The water park was small for what we're used to in the Dells, but it had enough entertainment to sustain kids up to 11 years old or so. My 13 year old was bored with the waterslides, so I didn't force him to go to the park for the second day. The hot tub was my favorite place to get away and relax and they have the option of opening it to the outside when conditions are right. Here's what I didn't like... - They teased a welcome reception from 4-6pm with refreshements and snacks and though they didn't promise much, it was pretty gross. It consisted of nachos with beef and some sort of chipolte cheese concotion that looked burnt. There were dry and sweaty cheese cubes and cold cuts and the highlight ended up being the cans of pop that were avaiable to guests. - There is also a pool on site, but it is small and there's not a lot of seating so if you're late to get there, it's akward to not have a place to put your things. Also the lighting is strangely dark and mildly creepy. - Lastly, aside from the water park, the only other entertainment on site is an arcade and I know that this is a small hotel, but it made for a difficult time keeping the kids entertained away from screens and tvs. This place is a good place to stay for 1 or 2 nights max, with a ton of family and a ton of board games and things to do after the water park. You'd do better to spend more money at a bigger place, for a longer duration, with more entertainment. read more

This hotel is just sad. The room smells like chemical air fresheners and the pillows are falling apart with lumps in them. When I asked the front desk attendant for new pillows because of how awful the current ones were, he shrugged it off and made me seem like I was crazy. Horrible customer service. I left my iPad at Ingleside hotel on Friday November 7th. Since then I have submitted two lost item requests, spoke with the front dest four times. They keep referring me to housekeeping where no one answers the phone. Leave a message and get no call back. I did receive an email saying they had found my item four days ago, but since then no one will deal with how to get this returned to me. potential to be a nice location but grounds are poorly kept and the noise level is ridiculous. i understand the roofing construction is necessary and 8:00 is reasonable but the rooms facing the parking lot are exposed to large truck deliveries and garbage pickup as well. rooms are clean but provide very little storage space. bathrooms are average size but only allow for showers. we did have the opportunity to visit the bar where service was fast. the water park also on the property may be an attractive draw for families but we never checked it out. prices were reasonable for the room type. maybe a good place bring the family but i wouldn't recommend this place for a relaxing stay. read more

Had a wedding reception here. Bride found a tick in her dress. The toilet paper is see-through. The bare minimum amount of hygiene products is provided. Feminine hygiene products were unable to he purchased. There's no breakfast buffet, and Waterpark passes are totally separate from overnight passes. My family had to pay for both full price. HOWEVER!! All the staff are lovely, well mannered, and extraordinarily helpful. Housekeepers are gems, and front desk agents are lovely and helpful. Clearly, this is all budget issues. When we first go to the hotel the line was very long and we had to wait like 30 mins. They were training on the busiest day. The water park and the indoor pool was good, we loved it. Our hotel window view was a crane (machine). When we were sleeping multiple people were being very loud and were disturbing our sleep through out many hours. read more

I would visit this resort again. Everyone is so friendly. We rented a suite for 5 of us. It was spotless. My mom in law decided to take the sofa bed. I don't know how she slept. It wasn't comfortable. The other 2 beds were extremely comfortable. Traveling with our little furry guy, they are pet friendly. They have a waterpark here which we spent plenty of time there. I have no plans to come back but would in a heartbeat. A large resort. A restaurant we didn't try as well as a bar. Banquet facilities too. read more

Im SHOCKED this place received a 2 1/2 star rating because it should not even get one. Horrible staff , horrible service . My sister was staying here with her husband and child. She is pregnant and having a really hard time with morning sickness . She went down and asked to purchase a bagel as they were the only things helping. She was rudely told no , she had to purchase the entire buffet . She explained she was pregnant and the other items were not desirable , and the staff still had ZERO compassion to let her purchase just the single bagel . She then tried to be kind but went higher on hopes to get a bagel , no dice For 300$ a night and a crap rating on Yelp , you can't help your pregnant guest out with a bagel? Absurd. I was here for a wedding on 10/9/2022. Dinner was good, the service was great, pretty much everything was about as good as you could expect. Someone on the dance floor lost control of their drink and the glass broke. A guy by the name of Dave came out and said to me "everyone with glass needs to get off the f*cking dance floor". I asked Dave if I could speak to the manager, Dave said " I am the manager", which I replied that's not a great way to talk to guests here for a wedding. if your staff is serving glass, why are you upset if glass gets broken. I understand the worry about glass breaking, but very inappropriate how it was handled. Dave was not a great employee and handled the situation poorly. Stayed for my triplets birthday Sunday night through Monday. Staff all seemed to hate their job, everyone we encountered was pretty miserable. Room was not in good shape, there were rips in the furniture, stains on the bedding and garbage behind the dresser. Bathroom vent was oozing dirt ans the sheets were on the bed inside out. We had a package deal that came with Pizza and garlic bread, the pizza looked and tasted like cardboard and the garlic bread tasted off. We ordered nachos as well and they were horrible. The arcade had several games that didn't work and hardly any prizes to choose from. There were dirty dishes in the hallway outside of a neighboring room when we arrived ans they were still there when we left the next day. I feel very disappointed for the cost read more

Beautiful hotel! What a gem in Pewaukee! Conveniently connected private entrance to Spring Water Park. The staff are great, the rooms renovations and supplies were quite impressive. The space in room 58 was perfect for us and the bathroom was so spacious too. Also Didi's Supper Club is downstairs next to lobby. It has great options and there is a Kwik Stop grocery store nearby for quick eats, fresh fruit, muffins and other food for a quick and easy breakfast in your room. read more

A great place to stay when traveling and if you are going to the water park. The day that my family went the heat wasn't working in the water park so we didn't go, but we got vouchers from the hotel's front desk and free arcade thingys to spend at the arcade. It is also pretty spacious and has a tv with every channel including the one for the Packers game!! The only problem is if you are coming back from the water park, the hallways are REALLY COLD!! But the room has plenty of heat controlled by the guest. I had a great time!! read more

There's a nice running trail starting in the parking lot which I enjoyed. Check in was quick, no noise issues. The room was clean and nice, and the water park is great as well. very kid friendly, but still a nice getaway for grown up kids like my boyfriend and myself. My problem was with the customer service, mainly the dining and room service. First when we went to the dining they had to offer the manager was very rude, we over heard him tell the people in front of us waiting "I'm just busy" in a very snappy rude like tone. Which was very unprofessional in my opinion. Finally after waiting for 20ish minutes they sent us to the back dining area had us just seat ourselves, they never told our waitress we were back there so we sat for another 30 minutes before my boyfriend grabbed her attention on his own. Next, we had the Romantic Escape package which comes with complimentary champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and a breakfast for two. We called for our champagne and strawberries and it took over 2 hours and a second phone call for some one to bring them up to us, saying that they just finished making them (4 strawberries and the same manager from the restaurant was the one to bring it to us and again was very rude. For the breakfast they have you fill out a slip to be turned in the night before and to put a time in which you would like it delivered to the room. We put 8am and turned it in right away when we got there! Fast forward to the next morning, 8am and breakfast never came, we figured maybe they were backed up so we waited and then eventually called down at 9 and they said we had to replace the order and it was gonna be another 15 minutes. I just feel this was unacceptable for the price we pay for one night and the things that were suppose to be offered with the package we purchased. read more

Just stayed for two nights for a little spring break getaway. Throughly enjoyed our stay. Room was clean, hotel staff was kind and professional, free breakfast for early check out was pretty good. Will stay here again. Some parts of the negative reviews I did agree on: walls are thin. You can hear everyone's door slamming, loud talking. For a hotel with a water park area, there is no drying string in the shower to dry your garments. Food from the menu at Didi's was just okay. WAY TOO MANY unsupervised kids in the hot tub. They were constantly getting kicked out by lifeguards. I agree in other reviews that there should be an adults only hour in the hot tub like others suggested. I would like to give a shout out to the lifeguards. They were all awesome, polite, diligent. A woman had passed out in the hot tub and they were super attentive to her until she left in an ambulance. My brother had fell, not paying attention to where he was talking and scraped his knee pretty good. They took such good care cleaning his knee and bandaging. read more

My niece's Birthday Party was at the Water Park. It turned out to be a wonderful event and the kids and tons of fun!!! We arrived at 2pm and the staff helped us get situated. First stop was to grab some tables in the water park area to put all our stuff there. The party room would be ready for us at 5pm to 6pm to eat pizza and cake and open presents. The kids had plenary of time to run around in the pool area. There are plenty of lifeguards around so I definitely felt the kids were safe. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. After hanging out in the pool area for couple hours the kids had some fun in the arcade. And then it was time for pizza!!! Pizza was delicious it was served with a bag of chips and lemonade or white soda. The cake had a theme of the birthday girl's choice! It turned out to be a perfect place to have a birthday party! We rented 5 rooms for family to have a fun weekend. Booking was a hassle. We have stayed here the last 3 years and each time the reservation have been messed up. Same thing again this year. A manager straightened it out. When checking in the lady was slow and talked poorly of a coworker to me. She also acted irritated that i was checking in 5 rooms stating "well this is going to take a long time". The rooms were fairly clean except one room the sheets were put on the bed inside out and in another room there were cobwebs in a corner of the ceiling and my daughter was being poked in the night by a straw type piece of wood that was between the sheets and mattress. The pool was cloudy and dirty looking. It was gross! The hot tub had so much chlorine it made our eyes burn and the outside part of the hot tub was shut down which was a big part of wanting the waterpark passes so the adults in our group could also enjoy the park area. Big disappointment. The hallway smelled strongly of Marijuana. I believe the 2 sheriff's and manager that were in our hallway for a long time, took care of the "situation". One of our group got a knock on their door around 11:00pm by a very rude staff and security guard saying that neighbors were complaining of loud music. The only neighbors were all of us staying in our group. We were all in our own rooms and in bed. They were watching TV but the volume was low, while they tried to have their 3 year old whined down after a long day. We believe they went to the wrong room. That said, yes it really is noisy. Lots of kids running up and down the halls. Rude people talking loudly at 6am and kids running back and forth at all times. There were more little things I won't bother with but the last thing that happened was one of our guest couldn't find there phone. She called a few times after checking out and they insisted it wasn't in the room and that they check multiple times. We went back to look for ourselves. Front desk acted annoyed and kept saying they didn't have the phone. We insisted on looking in the room and again with the roll of his eyes, annoyed, said they don't have it. Finally he called and asked someone to meet us at the room. We walked in and again she said she already looked. I went right to the bed and it was on the floor by the head of the bed. This is the first review I've ever written in my 60 years but I need to let people know ....DO NOT STAY HERE. We as a family don't let much get to us and we still enjoyed our family time but they really made it hard. We will not stay here again! Oh and the breakfast is expensive and besides the bacon, was mediocre at best. read more

Customer service was VERY unprofessional my daughters are 7 and it's their birthday they wanted their dad to see them swim and my daughter she is 12 is in a wheel chair unable to walk and I spoke with the security BELLO very unprofessional he asked what was my room number and I told him I'm not telling him. He said he was the manager he said that she could not go in the water park with out a pass I asked if it was spectator pass he said no I then went to speak with a front desk I spoke with Zack he said it isn't my call but sometime they do allow. BELLO went to the front desk ask Zack what was my room number and I think he was trying to intimidate me because I was a women sad. All because my child is in a wheel chair and she wanted to sit and watch her twins sisters play. BELLO the started to harass my children telling the security to keep an eye out so they don't move my children were so upset and sad because he said BELLO was mean and told the people to watch them and I'm just so confused why did he ask about my room number I will never stay here again. We just took our kids here for spring break. The water park is amazing for kids. Our room was clean, but very small. The beds were not comfortable, squeaked a lot with any movement, pillows super small, and with having two little kids only having a shower was difficult. Also, the food was not good. The menu was small and food not great. There is no continental breakfast, so you pay. Since we were there over spring break, they did not have a breakfast menu-it was just buffet. Way over priced for everything. Check in isn't until 4:00 (unless if you pay extra) and check out is early-11:00. We were disappointe. Aside from the accommodations, they allow dogs. There we're two large (German Shepards) that we're loud. read more

The black security guard was following the black families talking about we were all together and we didn't even know one another. Then tried to have us removed talking about we were lying because he seen us talking to each other. We also was talking to some white families there also. They were extremely unhelpful with a gift card purchase. We purchased a gift card, showed up on our Credit Card statement. We never received the gift card and when we called they claimed that we never purchased it and they have no record of it even though it clearly sits on our statement. They were unhelpful in resolving this and left it up to us to try and deal with through our credit card company. The electricity was out for roughly 19 hrs. At no point whatsoever was there a well being check, offer of extra blankets, info that other hotels have heat. My roommate has sleep apnea. He has a CPAP machine. He had to sleep w/o his cpap machine, which is literally life threatening for him. Ppl w/ diabetes may need to keep meds in the fridge. Were they offered assistance? Ppl w/ panic attacks or mental illness may not be doing that great during a stressful event. Were they checked in on? So yeah, I get that the snowstorm and electricity is an "act of God". The massive amounts of neglect and lack of acknowledgment during that time is not an "Act of God" though. Another issue my group had: the restaurant was woefully understaffed. It's as if no one knew how popular Mid-Winter was and wasn't expecting a large crowd. Every time we went to the restaurant, there was one person doing everything, so service was slow. To their credit, they were organized. I didn't feel like the restaurant staff didn't know what they were doing. Also, the quality of the food is poor, especially for the price. I had 2 alcoholic drinks. Both were watered down and terrible quality. Please either increase the quality of the food or decrease the cost of it. I honestly hope that midwinter is at a difference location next year. We bought 7 tickets for the Country Christmas event at the Ingleside Hotel, but unfortunately, 3 of my kids couldn't attend due to Covid. I contacted Jessie, the ticket handler, beforehand, explaining the situation, but she declined to refund the tickets for those who couldn't make it. It's shocking that the hotel isn't willing to make any exceptions given the circumstances. At the very least, the tickets could have been given to Charity. read more

Disclaimer: I was at the Ingleside for a wedding and reception, I did not stay at the hotel nor dine in a restaurant. This is about the fourth iteration of this property I have experienced, starting with the Steeplechase about forty years ago. Obviously, a huge investment was made to remodel and redecorate the property and it is an impressive lobby. With that said... The wedding was scheduled to be outdoors, however, a squall line came through with severe wind and rain. The hotel scrambled to move the event indoors to a well-decorated meeting room. It was a small room to stuff a large wedding into, but it was certainly better than being drenched outside. Kudos to the hotel for the move. The reception followed in the originally scheduled location, a pavilion located apart from the hotel. (The wedding was to be in a courtyard outside the pavilion, which would have been convenient except for the rain.) No one informed us of just how far away the pavilion was located, had I known it was about a tenth of a mile away, I would have taken the car. It was a long walk for two elderly relatives using walkers, uncalled for and a very real irritation. The pavilion is a lovely location for a party and it was beautifully decorated. Sadly, the bartender seemed inexperienced. Besides serving people who came to the bar after I did, he didn't seem to know what products he had available nor just how to use the cash register. I was not impressed with my cocktail, either. It was seven bucks, served in a plastic throwaway cup and not a very good mix, either. The buffet line went smoothly and there was a wide variety of selections, however, it seems the main ingredient for the main dishes was salt. A day later, I'm still washing it all down. It was an interesting experience in a beautiful venue but overall, not a good experience for us. read more

This year, however, we were rudely interrupted by staff and told to leave at 8 after only being there an hour. They told us that we had 5 minutes to leave before we would be escorted out by the sheriff. we were surprised because we had never before had this happen to us. The manager was extremely rude and impatient and after arguing with us about how it had always been a policy (when it never had) we left. At this point, our favorite for Mother's Day Brunch. If you are looking for a brunch that has a big choice in foods with above average quality with good service, try Ingleside Hotel. After a year at the old Thumpers and four years at Seven Seas. We started to look for a new location after the quality and and price went up at Seven Seas. The quality and variety is much better than the above mentioned and we have certainly enjoyed the many choices for breakfast, lunch/dinner. + the service is accommodating, fast, friendly but not intrusive. Grade A+ + the variety is plentiful. 9 stations in all. Buffet style all you can eat. Taco station, breakfast station with made to order omelets and 5 variety of cheeses and breads. Carving station with turkey and beef tenderloin with a variety of sauces. The beef tenderloin must have been made in an Alto Shaam. Perfectly cooked (evenly pink all the way through and moist with the outside roasted, and I mean a millimeter crust). Seafood through out with lox, shrimp, smoked salmon and baked tilapia...but my favorite was the Caesar poached scallops. Also a favorite was the raspberry asparagus and feta. I've never had that combination. Perfectly cooked asparagus. The dessert station was average but had pies, cakes, cookies, pudding, ice cream station and chocolate fountain. Good desserts but not quality pastry chef desserts. This was the low point in all the foods. About 4 times the variety you would find at Seven Seas. Still overall a Grade A +Misc: Full bar, lots of parking, linen and china service. The two ball rooms had great spacing for the tables and each table sat 8. Grade A - Ambiance is good but since I have been comparing to Seven Seas, then Seven Seas takes this one. Grand Ball Room is very nice, don't get me wrong but to dine and overlook a lake with upscale decor is what you want then Seven Seas. Plenty of room which is great for a business meeting or a wedding but not a quaint, cozy or warm experience. Still Grade B +Value: $30 per head plus your alcohol is a bit high but the variety of foods and service makes this a good overall value especially when compared to other Mother's Day brunch menus. Overall, I haven't found a better choice. there is something for everyone and you won't leave hungry or wanting something else. We will be back next year. Are you reading all of the terrible reviews about security and people being escorted out? BE AWARE THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE. (And I'll be the first to admit it's almost definitely related to the color of your skin) Multiple people have been reviewing this place with my exact experience. We called about a birthday party, was told everything was fine. Well later after the water park we are harrased and treated like criminals, literally escorted from our room for having a 5 year old birthday party at 4pm, because of some clause about amount of people in the room. I even went up the ladder as far as I could to politely request an explanation and I was treated like criminal then too. Stacy, the manager, is extremely unkind and takes a certain pleasure in kicking you out. Really disturbing. Tiffany, I know you're reading this. I hope this place closes because of your negligence. Look at all of these terrible reviews that your terrible policy has caused. Maybe you should go back to school. Do not stay here. Spend 30 extra bucks and an hour of your time to go to the dells. When planning a stay for a July family reunion, we called months in advance The Ingleside Hotel, to ask if there was a 2 night minimum. The front desk person said NO. We then called all the families involved for their preference in type of room, etc. We gathered all the information needed and called back 3 weeks later to book, when we were informed there is a 2 night minimum. How time consuming, we start all over and VERY frustrating! Starting over in the start of summer, which other places are booked, is now a huge headache. The front desk person NEVER SAID the 2 night stay could change. It was the first question my husband asked before we went any further.
