Old coffee grounds from prior guest.
Jeff T.

Staff friendly and professional. Hotel is very quiet and in an excellent location, easy access to I-94/90. Room was not clean. Garage pail wasn't emptied and the last guest had left used coffee grounds in it. Hairs in shower not mine. Popcorn on floor and a large hairball under the desk. TV menu hard to use, couldn't access HBO or Fox Sports Network. Next time I'll try the Hilton Tru hotel which is nearby.

Picture this... as I'm driving up to WI for the weekend, I became tired and hungry. First I needed to find a descent hotel. I saw a sign which had Motel 6, La Quinta and Hampton Inn. All three hotels have pluses and minuses, however, I choose the Hampton Inn. Kate, Guest Agent, was completing a phone reservation. After she completed the reservation, she apologized the wait. Great customer service from the beginning. She was able to give me the best available rate for the one evening She went over the hours of the breakfast and then directed me to the elevators. The room was very nice for a three star hotel. The room was very typical with the work station, bedding, and the tv station with a small refrigerator. The room was very sound proof - could not hear the guests next to me. I know there were guests next to me since I could here them in their room when I would walk in the hall. The bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was very plentiful with scrambled eggs, cheese in a separate container, various cereals and breads, cut and whole fruit, beverages and a waffle maker for those who wanted waffles. The station was very clean and maintained. It appeared this hotel has a mixed cliental - business and transient guests. The hotel had a gym area along with a decent size indoor pool. I would recommend this hotel.

His and her cups ! Could this be any more cute !

Never thought I would write a review of a hotel 15 minutes from my home .... but here we are . Being a local trust my review over everyone else's ! If you have a trip planned to Milwaukee or the surrounding Waukesha areas stay here ! Hotel is directly off the freeway ! Time from hotel to Miller park : 12 min Time from hotel to Potawatomi Casino : 15 min Time from hotel to MKE public Market :17 min Time from hotel to Airport : 22 min Time from hotel to Summerfest ground : 16min Time from hotel to State fair grounds : 10 min Time from hotel to Waukesha expo: 9 min It was $64 a night ! Same quality hotel in Milwaukee would run you anywhere from the $100-$300 possibly more depending on the time of year you come and what events are happening ! Plus you get free parking ! The inside is super nice ! All the rooms are redone and have a modern business feel to them . One of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in out of the country . The staff here welcomes you with that good ol Midwest charm ; super friendly and welcoming . They have toiletries in the bathroom for you. Bathroom also has a hair dryer. Beds are super comfortable with a legit bed comforter; none of that floppy one cover BS. Hotel has an indoor pool and work out room . Hotel is located less then minutes from : Gas stations , restaurants, music stores , craft wastores , a mall , coffee shops, gyms , grocery stores , parks , hardware stores , electronic stores .... you name it it will be 1-5 minuets away !

The king room only $59.

Newer Hampton. Going to Waukesha for work. This seems to be a conveniently located Hilton property for that area.

We requested a daily room clean - never happened. The staff I met were great - but the management and support staff were just missing in action. I spoke with a nice lady named Mimi when I was a few hours out and she assured me I would have a room when I arrived later in the evening. She reserved a room for me with just my name. When I arrived, Mimi was gone but another nice lady named Aloha was at the desk. She said there was no reserved room for me but that she could accommodate my needs. In fact, she was very kind and attentive; and after working on her computer about 10 minutes, I had my room key card in hand. This is where the issues began. Although everyone I spoke with during my stay was very pleasant and apologetic for the issues, I continued to deal with problems getting into my room (three trips to the front desk, which was quite a walk). Finally the third key card worked to unlock my door. I stayed put in my room after that because I was afraid I'd be locked out again. The room was a nice size and looked clean and neat enough but there was only one trash can so I had to move it to a central location to keep from walking from one end of the room to the other when needed. I did not ask for another one since I was only staying overnight. Furthermore, only one set of outlets near the bed worked. I'm glad I noticed when I plugged in my phone otherwise I would have been very disappointed with a dead device next day. I did notify the front desk about this issue. Also, the weather stripping around the door was missing so I could hear other guests coming and going, coughing and hacking and talking all night. Next morning, I requested a late checkout but the maid still entered my room despite my putting the door hanger out. Not okay! Overall, I'm glad I stayed only one day. I will not be back.

At about 8:30 am, on 1-31-25, I was awaken by bugs crawling on me. I was so afraid, I nearly ran into a wall in an effort to escape the conditions and had chest pain as a result. When I addressed the front desk staff, he promised me a new room. My GF and I were forced to wait in the lobby with our luggage for nearly 30 minutes. Dan (desk staff) promised the manager would be in soon to address the matter. After about 10 minutes more, I was tired of waiting for her and just wanted peace and sleep so I left the hotel for an exhausting 3 hour drive home. Dan promised she would call as I left my personal cell# and email. The manager, AMY never called or emailed. I called her 2 weeks later on (2-14-25) and she belittled my concern and said something to the effect of, "I may have bugs at my house." I'm now on sleep medication due to the trauma of the entire event. I also have a counseling session scheduled for 3-18-25, to help me cope with the mental and emotional trauma endured. Horrible service and poor living conditions. #BUGS #UNPROFESSIONAL #LIARS #STAY HOME #INSECTOPHOBIA #DISCRIMINATION

It's close to restaurants (like Kopp's), grocery stores, and it's not too far from the Pewaukee Costco. The rooms are comfortable. I actually only stayed in 2. One I stayed in for 6 weeks. I think the beds are nice. I had a room with a sofa bed. There is a mini-fridge and microwave. This works just fine for me. It's a safe area, I never saw or heard of any problems in the parking lot or hotel. The breakfast is the same every day. I ate usually on the weekends, but weekdays there were water bottles available that I'd take to work. If I come back to work here next summer, I'll stay here again. The staff was super nice and friendly. The one thing to improve is their laundry room... there is only 1 washer and 1 dryer.

One of the pillows on the bed was like little pebbles and had ripped sheets needless to say that pillow instantly went to the closet. My friend and I ordered room service to just have a chill girls night "girls dinner" we wanted to pour the soda into glasses that are provided in the room but as you can see in the image they were very dirty not only to the look but touch. The food considering the price was just ok. Do not order the spinach artichoke dip it is not very good at all had a funky taste. The size of the cheese curd order is insane considering the price you get so few and it's served with like a mayo which is odd. The flatbread was ok a bit heavy on the onion and we had one random tomato like was that supposed to be on there. Finally the Philly wrap- now the wrap was actually very good the fries were okay but disappointed because they were advertised as garlic aioli fries... it was all just kind of a disappointment for our little movie and room service girls night we have from time to time to just get away without getting away. The stars are really just for the room otherwise looking nice, having a fridge, comfy bed, and the standing desk is nice.

This is my first time in Wisconsin and our first hotel is in Country Inn & Suites by Radisson. The…read morereason we had to pick this hotel was that this was practically one of the only few hotels that had the swimming pool open without reservations and the swim time was long. It's from 6 AM till 11 PM for kids and midnight for adults. Overall had a blast and my friend's nephew enjoyed the pool. It is an indoor swimming pool but the jacuzzi was closed. Still, this was a pretty nice hotel, the service was friendly and plenty of open spaces which I enjoyed. It is also literally very close to Walgreens and Walmart so if you forgot to bring something say your sandals you can get them! I would like to say I can't judge their breakfast option because many places right now for hotels don't have a wonderful breakfast. This one was bagels and muffins with coffee/ orange juice. It was a pick-up and go at the front desk area. Many places have kind of done the preached food because of COVID. So at least everyone is still staying safe!

The worst was the (table/desk), there was dark drips on the side and the table was dirty. I wish I took a picture, however my husband sat down to eat when we saw the filth and I quickly wiped it down. The towel shows how dirty it was. Long story short, housekeeping does not know how to clean and sanitize, therefore my husband is picking up disinfectant so I can clean the light switches, remote, door handles, etc. I don't trust them to do it, since they didn't do their job in the first place. Lesson learned, bring disinfectant wipes when checking into a room in the future. Day 2: We realized that our fridge didn't work the night before as everything we had in there was only cool. I called the front desk to replace the fridge as I had an injection I needed to keep cold, his suggestion was to bring it downstairs and keep it in their cooler. Before insurance, the cost is $117,000, sorry but hard pass. I called this morning, no answer 2x's. Finally, in the afternoon I reached the manager, she knew nothing, my request was not filed. I explained I've kept my medication on ice overnight, however we needed a replacement. After 3 hours, no service. My husband had to go down to the front desk. Surprise, surprise... no request. After my husband spoke with them, the replacement was delivered within the hour. Day 3: my husband needed to use the jacuzzi in our room due to a sporting injury (the hotel hot tub did not have jets). He started to notice a brown film while in the tub. The towel picture provided shows what you will encounter if using this jacuzzi.

My stay at The Iron Horse Hotel was extremely disappointing, especially for a property that markets…read moreitself as a boutique experience. From the moment I walked in, the lobby was overwhelmed with a heavy, Axe body spray-like scent--so strong it felt like walking through a middle school locker room. I assumed it was temporary and that my room would be a relief, but unfortunately, it was worse. The room smelled musty, like a house that hasn't been aired out in years. To make matters worse, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, which is unacceptable for a hotel at this level. Beyond that, the overall cleanliness of the hotel was lacking. For a boutique property, I expected a much higher standard, but the space felt worn and not well-maintained. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the towels were rough--far from the soft, high-end feel you'd expect. The most concerning part of my stay, though, was waking up at 1:45 AM struggling to breathe. It genuinely felt like a reaction to something in the room--possibly mold or poor air quality. I initially thought I was getting sick, but after spending a few hours away the next day, I felt completely normal again, which makes it hard to ignore the room as the cause. If you have any respiratory sensitivities, be cautious. I contacted the front desk to explain the situation and was told checking out early without being charged for another night wouldn't be an issue. I even offered to return around noon so they could turn the room, but was told not to worry since they weren't sold out. When I returned later that day, there was no note, and the staff refused to honor what I had been told, citing the late checkout time. While I understand policies, the inconsistency and lack of follow-through were frustrating. I also dined at the hotel restaurant, which didn't help the experience. The food was overpriced for the quality--my salad was warm, fries were room temperature, and clearly sat out too long. Dessert was equally disappointing; the lemon tart was buried under an excessive amount of powdered sugar, making it unpleasant to eat. It's honestly a sad day when I transferred to a basic airport hotel--Hyatt Place Milwaukee Airport--and had a significantly better experience. The bed was more comfortable, the towels were actually soft, and even the shampoo and conditioner were noticeably better quality. On top of that, the Hyatt was spotless, which only made the lack of cleanliness at Iron Horse stand out even more. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations. Between the condition of the room, air quality concerns, cleanliness issues, and poor service recovery, I won't be returning.
