This guy can make just about anything, I was blown away- as were the kids and parents! A lot of the people who do balloon twisting just offer it as an add on and aren't nearly as talented and can't do half as many things! Bryce was making all sorts of creative and cool things for the kids and they were all fascinated and entertained watching him work. Highly highly recommend! I cannot recommend The Inflators enough- truly awesome! The whole process, from booking to the actual party, was seamless and super easy. I found them online, emailed Heidi, and received a response right away. Bryce was perfectly on time for the party, very professional, and set up a station for face painting right away. He did a great job managing all of the kid's "creative direction" as well as the line of excited partiers that had formed (we had a pretty large party). During the second half of the party, Bryce transitioned into balloon twisting to the delight of the whole crowd. Kids and adults both were getting hats, swords, penguins...even monkeys on banana trees. How does he do that??? They suggested I ask Living Social for a refund, even though I offered to pay their full price using the Living Social deal as a gift card. I purchased a voucher thru Living Social and request a particular day for their service, I verified that they were available for the day I needed before buying it , I made a typo on our second email and I email them to verify their service and they said that they were booked and could help me. Now I'm stuck with a voucher that I paid $125 (Balloon Twisting/Face Painting Combo) for and no entertainer for my son's party. We just had The Inflators at our daughter's 2nd birthday party and I could not be happier. Heidi was so delightful. She was great with the kids. She arrived with some balloon figures already made. I mentioned on the phone to her that our daughter was really into Mickey Mouse, so Heidi learned to make a Mickey balloon just for her. I'm not a mom but a very involved Aunt when it comes to my niece, so when my younger sister and I were left in charge of her 5th bday shindig at her school/daycare (our older sis, her momma, couldn't get out of work), I took it seriously. Like very seriously. Studied all the mommy blogs (geez, moms are like project managers), read all the Yelp reviews (among others), googled until I couldn't google no more...you get my drift. I wanted to find a cool balloon artist and needed one quick. Enter The Inflators. Whew! Talk about a choice well made. Patting myself on the back right now. I emailed about 6 vendors and got 5 responses. The other balloon folks were a bit jagged on the communication area so I felt uneasy; and one actually emailed me back the NIGHT before the event asking what time he should be there. LAME. The Inflators, from the jump, were great communicators. Heidi (gotta' love someone with the same name as you) was awesome. She was spot-on with always answering my emails/questions/concerns quickly (and I emailed A LOT). I love that. I was initially worried about hiring a kid's vendor that no one I know has used before, so her constant emails eased my mind. Saturday was the second time that Heidi has entertained the munchkins at our house. Both my daughters and all our guests (adults included) loved Heidi! Her face painting was beautiful -- I had to wait until my daughter fell asleep to wash off her unicorn face painting. The boys at the party loved their shark, pirate and lightning bolt face art while the girls were delighted by the cupcakes, unicorns and butterflys. Then came the balloon art -- flowers, princesses, penguins and more. I had a hard time rallying the kids for games because they wanted to watch Heidi make balloon animals! After checking out balloon artists on yelp for my 2 year olds birthday party I decided to go with The Inflators. I'm so glad I did, Heidi did an incredible job. She made all kinds of amazing characters out of balloons, including Lightning McQueen (it was a Cars themed party). I saw Heidi last year at a July 4th party, and she was a beast: face-painting like a fiend, and then whipping up balloon creation upon balloon creation to every kid's whim and fancy. So I decided to hire them for my 4 year old's birthday party, and this time Bryce was the balloon-twisting/face-painting ninja! They did pretty much every balloon creation imaginable (he made a frickin' rainbow with clouds, for cryin' out loud!), and then painted awesome characters and vignettes on the kids' faces to finish out. They are total professionals and a complete pleasure to work with. My first concern about inviting a stranger over to our home to entertain little kids was that I didn't want anyone creepy. Creepy was definitely not the case. We had age ranges from about 3-5, with a couple older 8-10 year olds as well (around 20ish kids total). I hired The Inflators for my son's 3rd birthday party (or, more exactly, my son's FIRST official birthday party, when he turned 3). I was nervous both about the chaos likely to surround balloon creation and the cost of hiring a balloon artist. Marisa was completely at ease in the midst of chaos, extraordinarily poised in the face of multiple screamed demands (from, alas, both toddlers and a parent or two), and great at generating balloon everything. In the span of an hour, I lost track ... a balloon fish, balloon palm trees being climbed by balloon monkeys, every balloon character imaginable, balloon hats and balloon crowns, balloon swords, etc. It was just ... FUN. It also was remarkably affordable given the volume of balloons that was generated.
