The seats were comfortable, and the ride was very smooth--I didn't feel much shaking at all inside the Ferris wheel. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience with great views of the city.

After we checked into our hotel, we wandered down to the Port of Montreal and checked out the waterfront, museums and La Grande Roue de Montréal. It reminded us of the Big Eye in London. The Grand Roue (French for "Big Wheel") is 60 meters, or nearly 200 feet tall, so the top of the wheel is like standing on the roof of a 20-story building. You get a gorgeous 360° panoramic view of the city as you lazily make three revolutions on the wheel inside one of their 42 comfortable and modern (just built in 2017) gondolas. We got a beautiful view of some of the area's attractions- Old Montréal, Jacques-Cartier Park, Mount Royal, the Saint Lawrence River and in the distance the remnants of 1967's Montreal Expo World's Fair. It was nostalgic when I realized that I had been there 58 years ago. Our adult ticket cost C$32.19 each with tax and miscellaneous charges.

With only about 50 people in line, I had the space to move freely, look up into the treetops, and peer down into rivers and tanks without feeling rushed. It felt immersive from the start. What makes this place special is how alive it feels. No cages, no bars, just ecosystems. Birds glide overhead, and wildlife lives within carefully designed natural habitats that feel both safe and intimate. Close enough to connect, far enough to respect the wild. Accessibility was thoughtful too, with both stairs and a smooth walkway option. Getting there early made all the difference. By my second loop, the school groups had arrived and the energy shifted from calm exploration to lively chaos. The Biodome itself is massive, divided into five distinct ecosystems. One moment you're wrapped in tropical warmth, the next you're stepping into a colder, northern world. It's like walking through climates instead of hallways. Location is another win. It's right outside Viau Station, making it incredibly easy to reach. Plus, it sits alongside the Montreal Olympic Tower and the Montreal Planetarium, turning the area into a full-day adventure playground. The staff were welcoming and bilingual in French and English, adding to an already smooth experience. #tysadventures26 #SpringBreak26 #Biodome

The tropical zone is very humid and hot. But the other zones were quite comfortable afterwards. My fav were the tamarind monkeys and the frozen wall in the penguin exhibit was quite cool, figuratively and literally. Loop hole: around back is the exit by the cafeteria. You can enter the museum in the back as it says "entrance" and there is no security...

I really enjoy coming here with friends. The staff is very friendly and if it's your first time they explain the rules and guide you on the different areas of the gym. You can rent shoes and a chalk bag, they have a nice shop area as well if you want to buy any of your own gear. Their entryway could use a bit of a change since in the winter I find it gets really wet with all the boots and they run out of hangers because of the heavy winter coats, but other than that it's good!

We were only able to climb the top out bouldering wall on the lower floor as they were changing the routes on the bouldering wall upstairs (not top out). There're more top-roping options than bouldering, and lead routes have the least available (understandable). I find it more worth it top-rope, so if you're new to the gym or visiting I would go with someone who can belay. As for the boulders themselves, they are graded based on circuits (V0, V0-V2, V2-V4, etc.; the grading scale is accurate). There were no V0s when we went, and there were 2 V0-V2s and 2 V2-4s, so if you're looking for a place more beginner-friendly, I would look elsewhere. Most of the climbs were advanced, so I would recommend being around V4 and above to make your visit(s) here worth it.

Now what more can I say about this park other than it is very under appreciated and strikingly beautiful in it's own unique way! The rides here are what they are some of the coasters are nothing short of incredible as Goliath is one of the best hyper coasters in North America and Le Monster is also a very fun wooden coaster with a unique layout wit some really fun laterals that are sure to throw you out of your seat! The backdrop to this park is a huge bridge that connects two different parts of Montréal making for a beautiful sight anywhere in the park! The food here is super good for a Six Flags Park like some of the things I had here are better than anything I've had anywhere else in the chain which is a total plus as who doesn't like yummy park food when your paying that price for it! Overall this really is an amazing park with lots of awesome qualities and after hearing about that fireworks competition that they hold it's on my list to get back here at some point because that just sounds amazing so with that said are you when I see you again La Ronde!

The beauty and artistry of these pyrotechnics are some of the best I've seen. Especially the grand finale. Each show is about 30 minutes long and the fireworks are shot along the cadence of music chosen by the participating country artist. Just a wonderful show that is worth every minute of it. You can buy the entry for the show inside La Ronde amusement park for about $CDN 65 or watch it for free at many points around the city.
