The wife ordered the pad Thai chicken. After a lengthy wait our food was delivered. Or what we thought was our food. Both dishes were a nightmare. Mine had hardly any chicken, A LOT of vegetables, all soaking in a what resembled a soupy sweet and sour mess. The wife was very displeased with hers as well. Although mine was the "Greek" bowl, very little of the veggies were included, and the tzatziki was missing while the feta was plentiful. Flavor-wise, it tasted good, but it was short on the ingredients. The interior is dingy and our table was sticky despite the wipe down, so I'd recommend getting your food "to go". The service was a solid 4.0, but the other elements drag down my overall scoring.

As soon as you walk in you can see the kitchen and prep counter with the menu right above it. Order at the counter and pick up at the other end when your pager goes off. We kept it simple and ordered the lamb gyro, seasoned fries, drink, and hummus appetizer. We just had waters, but they offer wine, beer, sodas, bottled water, and some other drinks. Fairly simple, but good size menu with plenty of options. There are plenty of seating options with tables, booths, and outdoor tables as well. While we were waiting and eating there were several to go orders. Steady flow of customers in and out. They also have a great music selection! After a short wait our delicious gyros arrived. The presentation was nothing flashy, but good. The fires were seasoned just right for me, but a little too salty for the wife. The gyros were as expected, delicious and a good size for us. The hummus plate was actually larger than expected, but a nice surprise. There was enough naan for sure. I did not take any pics this time. Overall experience was excellent honestly. This was my first trip to "Carolina Girls", and while I had read what I could find about the food,…read moreservice and ambiance, I hope to improve upon reporting so others will have an easier time. First, I will say that the food was good! I have to admit that it was not what I expected, but here is what I found. I ordered a combination of shrimp and flounder, with fries and green beans as sides. See the photo of shrimp and flounder, with fries and green beans! Shrimp were small, about 50ct I estimate. They were lightly battered and very tasty. I expected larger shrimp, but given the light batter and excellent taste, I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp. The flounder was also lightly battered, and perfectly cooked. It was excellent. Fries are fries, and these were OK. But the real big surprise were the green beans! They were likely the best I've ever had. That leaves hush puppies, and their spread. The hush puppies could have been very good, but were served at just above room temperature. The spread was a butter substitute that was indeed sad. Here is my Professional Tip: Prepare and proudly present your own hush puppy spread. Make it by simply blending real butter and real honey and serve it in reusable stainless steel 2-oz containers. It would be unique, cost minimal, and set the pace for ambiance enhancement. Service was good, but they allowed kitchen staff to sit in the serving area and converse with customers. A little too "homey" for me. Lastly, in regard to ambiance they seem to be finding their "sea legs", as decorations did enhance the feeling of a seafood restaurant. Small improvements could be in changing ceiling light bulbs to a warmer 2700 Kelvin color range, and adding disposable place mats with three utensils, better napkins, and new condiment bottles. I know some may think of these suggestions as nit-picky, but please trust that I want this place to excel.
