We ordered the classic Chili Chicken dish as recommended by the server but it was more like a sweet and spicy chicken. Tasty, but def not chili chicken. We also ordered Chicken 65 which was way over powered by mustard seeds. Decent but, definitely NOT chicken 65. We ordered the chicken platter so we could get a taste of all the diff types of chickens and unfortunately was left royally disappointed. Flavors were plain and chicken was over cooked...rubbery and chewy On a positive note the plain Hakka noodles were good for my kids. The service and ambiance are nothing to write home about. Overall, nice place but you definitely won't find me here again I'd say 2.5/5 if I could.

It's a small place so we were able to snag a nice table by the window. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient, too. I decided to get the Lamb Shawarma combo with fries. The food was ready within about 10 minutes, but first we were given a complimentary appetizer of fried pita and sauce. This was definitely a great start to the meal, as both components were delicious. I especially loved that sweet, tangy sauce, and I made a point of holding onto some of it for my fries. (I needn't have done that since the fries also came with said sauce.) Those fries are very tasty, too. They're obviously straight out of a bag, but they've been sprinkled with this really tasty seasoning that elevates them considerably. As for the wrap, it's good. The ingredients work well together and the plentiful lamb is tender and tasty. My only issue was this underlying bitterness that was kind of a distraction all the way through. But it wasn't too problematic thanks to the other flavors contained within (as well as a liberal application of that sauce). Sidra's is definitely worth the drive to Oakville, and I'm curious about some of the options on their extensive menu.

The gentleman behind the counter answered the phone and quickly apologized and told them he had a customer at the counter and had to serve them first. I was quite happy to hear this as too many restaurants will answer the phone and take orders while customers are waiting at the counter. Anyways, I ordered chicken shawarma dinner to go and I noticed the sign for Homemade Lentil Soup. I asked for it to be added to my order and the guy hesitated saying it wasn't fresh and he didn't want to serve it to me. I told him that wasn't a problem and he quickly said he'd make some fresh soup for me. What a legend. Food was made quickly, and when I took it home it was amazing. I've ordered a few times from there now. I highly recommend the Chicken Tikka, chicken Shawarma , their garlic potatoes and of course their Lentil soup! Great food and great services. Highly recommend!

Just ok. I decided to try takeout at Hamilton Hakka & Momo House at the recommendation of friends…read moreand public ratings from local area residents. The menu list is extensive, and the restaurant boasts authentic Hakka, Thai, Indian, and Nepali cuisines. Decided to try the some of their specialty dishes - Hakka House Chow Mein (Chicken and Shrimp), Dry Chilli Chicken and Crispy Sesame Beef. Compared with other Hakka Chow Mein dishes I've tried, this one was underwhelming. There was not a lot of chicken in the dish, and I counted only two shrimp in total. The portion size was large, however, with noodles. The chilli chicken and sesame beef was seasoned well. One order of long grain rice came with the meal. Unfortunately, after eating, it felt like I had eaten a tub of oil. The majority of dishes on the menu are deep fried and tossed in seasoning and sauce. The restaurant decor was not inviting, and had rows of tables and seating. It felt like a cafeteria. Service was ok. Thinking I will pass on this restaurant in the future. Before visiting this restaurant, I was thinking of trying the Singapore and Thai dishes but after eating here, I'm sure there are other restaurants that are truly authentic.

There are only two tables a bunch of side bar stool type seating. However, after we ordered on group at the table just left, so we were able to sit at a table. After paying, they give you a square device that lights up when your order is ready. After about 5 minutes, it lit up and we retrieved our order from the counter. Our order consisted of the following: 1 X 2 pc Jolly Crispy Chicken with Jolly Spaghetti 1 X Original Chicken Sandwich 1 X Deluxe Chicken Sandwich 2 X Peach Mango Pie 1 X Ube Pie The Jolly Crispy Chicken was exceptionally good. I didn't expect the chicken to be that juicy and crispy for a fast food chain, but it was. The spaghetti was much better than I expected. I had expected something like the ABC spaghetti sauce sold in grocery stores, but this was much better as it was not as sweet and watery. Both chicken sandwiches were disappointing. They were served lukewarm and didn't have the flavour of other chicken sandwiches. The peach and ube pies were outstanding. They both had a lot of filling and were deep fried, so the pasty was nice and crispy. So, our order was a bit hit and miss. The fried chicken pieces, the spaghetti and the dessert pies were good, but the chicken sandwiches were not. Service was excellent and we received our order in a reasonable amount of time. Overall, I liked the Jollibee experience and the fried chicken and will return.

A quick search led us to Maurya Indian Twist, which I hadn't heard of but seemed promising. We ordered two vegan dishes, the Aloo Gobi Curry and the Eggplant Potato Curry, and one meat dish, the Lamb Korma, as well as a few Veggie Samosas. It's decent Indian food. Each dish was cooked with a fair amount of care, and the portion sizes were right on point. They also all contained a good amount of their various components, and the lamb in that dish was very tender and tasty. I will say, though, that it wasn't exactly the most flavorful Indian food I've ever eaten. I wouldn't go so far as to say the dishes were bland, but they definitely didn't have that vibrant, layered taste that the best Indian usually has. Still, everyone was happy with the food, and we hardly had any leftovers. And I think that's probably the highest compliment one can pay to a restaurant.

I was looking for a place that served all day breakfast and stumbled across this Daytime Grill…read morerestaurant. It's nestled in a plaza right beside a Starbucks. We arrived and the place was totally empty. Deserted is the best way to describe it. We were directed to sit anywhere we liked and were given a handful of menus. The reason I say "a handful of menus" is that it seems this restaurant serves the usual fair of western breakfast and also serves Chinese food. So there are various menus to choose from. So now I'm a bit worried. Sometimes when places try to cover all of the bases by having a huge menu their food can be mediocre. Anyways. Nice older Asian lady takes our order. She goes back into the kitchen and cooks up our food and returns lickety-split! Everything was delicious. Coffee was fresh and always topped up. My eggs, bacon, and sausages were great, and my companions French Toast was also very good. TLDR/Long story short: If you want some yummy breakfast come here! This is our go-to place for breakfast and Chinese food. It's like having two restaurants in one -…read moremore breakfast places should do something like this for when their space sits empty after 3. First, breakfast. I would recommend the exactly meat lover's mix (with lots of different meats and some vegetables mixed into eggs), the standard bacon and eggs, or the banana bread french toast. They also have sandwiches, burgers, and more. The prices aren't bargain level, but aren't out of line with other places. I find their portions better than some restaurants in the area and, unlike the chains, a piece of bacon is a normal-sized piece of bacon. Plus, many breakfast places say they close at 3 but won't let you order after 2. This place isn't rushing you out the door. That said, if it's getting later in the afternoon, it can be challenging to know when their breakfast cook is still available. But, worst case, order Chinese! Speaking of which, they have a good selection of the usual Chinese fare plus an authentic menu for when you're eating in (mmm beef hot pot). I find their food more flavorful than the big takeout and buffet chain, with a hint of garlic (I think) in the chow mein. Everything noodle-based is good, with generous portions. It's not my favorite egg roll flavor but I also have trouble finding one like my favorite. The prices aren't Chinatown level, but seem in line with the big chain and other non-Chinese restaurants in the area. Two items feed two of us well (maybe too well) with potential leftovers. For ambience, the restaurant is more diner-like than fancy-shmancy. Sometimes it's too hot or cold, and if they haven't turned the fan on, smoky, plus sitting near the door might invite drafts. You might get your food super-quick if there are few customers, but sometimes it can get busy when the owner is there working alone and you might have to wait a few extra minutes for help. They're generally doing their best. It looks like the hours on the listing are outdated. They're usually closed Mondays (except sometimes on holidays), open until 8, and you should be safe for breakfast until at 3 on weekends - sometimes you're running late and get lucky. Overall. I'd recommend this restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We keep coming back and bring others there too.
