Went there 10 years ago but didn't do Yelp reviews back then. We made a reservation couple weeks ago for Thursday night since i was thinking it will be less people on Thursday night.... I wish. Their parking garage so weird and needles to say packed. Driving around garage 4 levels down and was barely able to find a parking spot. Garage is super hot even in the winter time. When we find an elevator it was a hassle to find Boulevard Towe. When we finally get there it was 6.20 and our reservation starts at 6 but they still gave us 2 hours fire pit reservation. Thank you for that. We had more people in our group so we all have to wait at the front window to get our bracelet for the ice skating. They show us our fire pit and explaining how everything is working. They also had a heater next to fire pit so it was pretty work next to fire pit. We order peacher of hot chocolate and couple of specialty cocktails (Christmas cocktails). They are serving them in paper cups since most of them are hot , so you really don't have a feeling that you drink cocktail. It seems like you are drinking hot wine. Out waitress was super nice. We wanted to have some food and we want sliders but we had couple vegan in our group so they made those sliders half impossible and half regular. They were ok. If you want to ice skate get ready to wait in a line, it was a big line just to get in there. And when you get in it is crowded, so many people. I literally made 2 circles and get out. It's impossible to anything in there. Also we had so much fun so we stay longer than our reservation, our waitress said there is no one coming after us so we just stayed there.

Took my nephew and his friends, and they had a blast! We went after Holiday crazy, it was busy but not packed. Only complaint the kids had was that The ice rink was bumpy. The views were amazing. My friend and I didn't want to skate, but we were looking for the ski lodge (speakeasy) and the employees had no idea what I was talking about. Unfortunately we found it as we were leaving. The best part was the coke ice luge! We haven't had a coke float since we were kids. So this was a fun and nostalgic treat that we all enjoyed.

Came on a weekday around 5p to a busy boulevard pool. Honestly expected the rink to be larger. There were a lot of families and kids as to be expected. I'm more worried about a kid taking me out than me taking a kid out accidentally here.

Located in what is normally the Boulevard Pool area of The Cosmopolitan, The Ice Rink is a great place for small groups to ice skating. They have areas with heaters and fire outs to relax and enjoy some food or a hot chocolate. The view up and down the strip is also pretty cool. Definitely worth checking out!

I wish I could give it 5 stars because of the views from the rooftop, but I can't.. The ice rink itself was a pretty decent size for being a rooftop rink; some say it's pretty small. I went on a Friday thinking that since I'm a LV resident, I would get the local discount, but didn't realize it was only Valid on Monday-Thursday, and then $30 during the weekends, Friday-Sunday. I don't remember if the website mentioned that. I also give it three stars because there were sooo many people and so many little kids going all over the place! Like it was bad to the point where it didn't feel safe because as you go around the rink counterclockwise (like you should), there are kids skating from your left and right with those big ice skating aides (with the handle and seats to help you balance). You can't peacefully go around in circles without worrying about crashing into people. Like there were no regulations on the ice rink. The workers were basically only there to help those who fell. Nonetheless... i had a good time with friends, as that was our first time going here. We really appreciated the views and the food/drinks! Hopefully next time I go, I'll feel safer hahah. If it's your first time Ice skating, please be careful and stick to the side. There are other people who don't care to slow down.

The Ice Rink is a yearly pop up that's held at the boulevard pool deck at the Cosmopolitan. For around $20 (with a locals discount) you can rent skates and ice skate your little heart out on their rink or if you're not a skater you can still enjoy the vibes for free. I love the views of the strip & that they play Christmas movies or music throughout. The rink isn't super large so it does get pretty overwhelming when it's peak times. If you're not a pro skater I recommend going during the weekdays to avoid being trampled on. Besides the rink they also offer winter themed food and drinks. Remember it is the strip, so expect the prices to be jacked up. They also do a "snow" fall every hour I believe or half hour which is a cute photo op. Overall it's a fun holiday activity to enjoy with friends or family.

The Ice rink is located where the Boulevard pool normally is, but they transform the area into a beautiful winter wonderland. Not only is there ice skating with gorgeous strip views but also holiday movies, seasonal cocktails and snack/food available. All day skating rental and admission is $30-daily $20-locals, military & first responders with valid ID (Mon - Thurs) And they have skate aids available as well for: $15-skate aid and reindeer rental- 60-minute rental My daughter and I had a blast and took in the gorgeous views. We missed out on the light snow showers, but had some of the best Hot chocolate while we were there topped with whipped cream and marshmallows. Parking was actually a breeze, we parked in the boulevard tower parking on the 3rd level, so it was a close walk to the elevators right up to the 3rd floor. I believe parking is $15 Oh don't forget to rent a fire pit which is great if you're with a small group for roasting s'mores around the fire.

Awesome. We are regulars at the Cosmo and especially its pool area. This year they really took the skating rink area up several notches. The check in process is pretty painless , especially for those used to winter sports. A simple partially self populating release form takes about a minute to complete, from there skaters proceed to the cashier and then to the skate retrieval area. The Ice Rink has plenty of skates in all sizes and they vary 1/2 size at a time. The rink itself has the usual public skating quality ice, which helps as many first time skaters are present at every given night. Skating seals are a bit pricey at $15 a pop. The atmosphere itself is upbeat and lots of fun. The music is pumping, the lighting perfect for a rink. Add to that the lights from Paris, Aria, Planet Hollywood and basically the entire strip in either direction. A bar full bar with the addition of hot chocolate drinks and a decent menu is made available, as are private fire puts and the fixin's for Smores. This year the the Ice Rink added the Chalet area which i will leave for another to Yelper to review. Its an awesome night - every time!

Iiiiiiiiii'm dreaaaming of a whiiiiiiite Christmas!!! You, too?? Head on over to the Boulevard Tower, 4th Floor, to get your skate on at The Ice Rink atop of the Cosmopolitan! What is usually the Boulevard Pool during the summer months, is completely transformed into a skating rink surrounded by fire pits (for a hefty fee), hot chocolate, and adult beverages. The rink itself is small, but still large enough to enjoy skating round 'n round with your fam, friends, and even little ones. Don't forget to look up and around for views of Planet Hollywood, Paris, and Bellagio! Due to COVID, I read the capacity is set to 60 skaters max. Can you imagine if it were pre-COVID? Aiyahhh! I prefer the crowd control. We were pretty lucky with the small amount of skaters when we arrived. Be sure to watch out for the blue seals and reindeer skate aids! But more importantly, try to not take selfie's while skating if you've never skated before. I saw A LOT of skaters fall, slip, and one even hit her head. Owwweeee!! It was pretty chilly when we arrived at 2:00pm, but after a few laps on the ice, we easily warmed up. I'd still recommend you dress in layers and wear gloves. You might also want to bring two masks, because ya know, all that heavy breathing into a cloth mask sure makes for a pretty moist cover. Eww. Hours: Dec 18, 2020: 3 - 11PM Dec 19, 2020 - Jan 3, 2021: Noon - 11PM Dec 24 & 25, 2020: Noon - Midnight Dec 31: Noon - 1AM (reservations required) Prices: $30 daily; $20 for locals, military and hotel guests (Mon-Thurs only); $15 for a skate aid. Note: your ticket is valid for the entire day! Happy holidays!!

Ice skating in the desert! Located at the cosmopolitan hotel sitting in the exact spot the pool would sit is an awesome little ice rink overlooking the LasVegas Strip. If you're a local you get a discount on the skating which is a plus. Hit the Groupon special and you get 2 for 50 with hot chocolate included. The bar is full of holiday special drinks to make the Christmas vibe strong. The rink is small and gets a little busy but you never feel rushed. There's no time limit so you can take you're time relax and enjoy the vibe and start the season off on a great note.

It's a yearly tradition for my friends & I to rent a fire pit & ice skate at the Cosmopolitan as the beautiful ice rink oversees the Las Vegas Strip with beautiful lights & there's so much to celebrate with the month of my birthday & Thanksgiving holidays. This year I rented a fire pit for 12 people @4:30 PM & it was $500 for 2.5 hours. The $500 (excluding gratuity, service fee, & sales tax) is used towards food, beverage (including cocktails), and skates voucher credit. The skate vouchers are also an exclusive offering for reservation guests that include access to the rink & skate rentals for $15 per person which is usually $30 daily or $20 for locals with valid ID so that was a great deal. The servers were also super sweet & constantly checking up on us to inquire if we needed anything. In the end she used my remaining credit to give us bottled waters. I also highly recommend emailing their cabana sales team as they were efficient & answered all my questions/concerns promptly, as well as providing the menu & other information beforehand. Cons: - The snow showers are supposed to happen every 30 minute but we did not see it once during the 4 hours we were there this year. - It also gets busy after 6 pm so I recommend going a little earlier considering the ice rink is quite considerably small & it gets really cramped.

What a magical time we had at the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink! Located on the roof top of Cosmopolitan hotel, I learned that they turn their pool into an ice rink for the winter. We were fortunate to rent a booth area for the night. The booth seats up to 6 guests for the night. Included in the package is not only the booth, but also ice skate rentals and food/ beverages for the night. We came to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday, and had a blast! My daughter and her friend thoroughly enjoyed ice skating for the night. We splurged on their food and drinks (which I have to admit was SO tasty!). The girls also enjoyed some hot chocolate and s'mores package. Overall, we enjoyed the night. The girls did not want to leave! Will definitely be back the next time we visit for winter. Shoutout to our waitress, who took such good care of us. I'm so sorry I can't recall the name but hope to see you again!

TLDR: Not worth the cost; super disorganized, and poor customer service…read more I was so excited to give this spot a shot to truly soak in the festive spirit. Also, I don't really know how to ice skate. I've wobbled my way about a couple times my entire life so it's a process, haha, and what are we if not eternally learning something new? Anyway, they don't explain much to you. We paid online for the 5-8 pm slot, and yet we still had to wait in a sizable line to get the QR codes scanned and then another line just to confirm with them we signed our waiver. They didn't inform us where we acquire skates so we had to look around for a bit to find them. Once we found the skates, we discovered they are located by the "exit" of the rink so we had to wobble our way on skates to the other side to enter the rink. Pretty inefficient. On the ice, I gripped the side to get my "ice legs" and made slow and steady progress around. But here's where it gets a little weirder. All those on the staff kept yelling at us repeatedly to keep moving... Even as we were moving. I mean, I may not have been gliding quickly - after all, I was gripping the rail - but I still made progress around. So why are they literally yelling at us? Then another time, I was holding hands with my husband as I moved away from the rail for a bit since staff were doing some maintenance in a particular spot, and a kid burst through us with his skating helper whatever-it's-called and I was sent almost flying, couldn't easily regain my balance without the rail, and was clearly trying to balance as I flailed my arms and prevent myself falling. The woman on the staff, right next to me as she was part of the ice maintenence of that section (blocking said rail), screamed in my face to keep moving. It was utterly ridiculous, rude, and just put a damper on the experience, particularly as it costs $90+ for two people, including parking. (Side note: I didn't fall! Yay!) It also started to get a bit crowded - they weren't at capacity, but that number seems a bit off. We were already having trouble navigating around people at about 180. And capacity is around 300? No way. And if they're going to constantly yell at kids and adults alike who are learning or just not fast, esp when it comes to navigating crowds, that's ridiculously poor treatment. Not to mention there are no lockers for belongings and no warning via site or anywhere ahead of time that you can't have anything on the ice so you bring your stuff and have to just... abandon it somewhere hoping it doesn't get stolen? What? Not going back - Downtown Summerlin is much more pleasant of an experience.

If you don't understand how a bout works you may have a little trouble. What I liked about it was the enthusiasm from the crowd and a couple of times the rowdiness of the skaters. There was a lot of lulls and not a lot of action so that makes it hard to want to pay attention to. What I didn't like was it was kind of hard to see especially if you were sitting down in the rows of chairs...so I actually chose to sit on the floor right in front of the rink which I wasn't crazy about. They play music the whole time which is cool but then the announcers try to talk and give you updates on the game and it's really hard to hear or understand what's actually being said. They serve beer drinks and even snacks but my suggestion is eat or get drunk before you go because they charge an arm and a leg inside the ballroom. You can't bring outside food or drinks in so if you go to the casino you can get a beer for two dollars Or stay in the ballroom and pay 7 to 10. It's not rocket science. I'll have to say it is fun to meet up with some friends hang out laugh and talk while watching something sort out on the side. It was their last bout at the Riviera as we all know it's going to be torn down so that was kind of cool in a little nostalgic. If you were ever lucky enough to catch RollerGames (1989-1990) on late night TV (as I did as a preteen), you know exactly what this game is all about and you can easily get hooked! On Saturday, April 25th, the Husband and I experienced our first real live roller derby match at the Las Vegas Roller Hockey Rink. It's located in the corner of the Commercial Center and can easily be missed, but it's there! Doors opened at 7 pm and the bout begins at 8 pm. You can choose to sit inside the rink on folding chairs, along the side on the floor, or safely behind the glass. Seats are up close and personal and they do promise the possibility of having a rollergirl in your lap! After the game, you can get autographs from your favorite players too! (There's a snack bar available too.) If you don't understand the game, they give out a handy little program with all the details, but the MC will also explain the game as it goes on. There's even a mini duel right at the beginning to give you a visual of what's about to happen. That evening, they played against the Arizona Roller Derby Tent City Terrors. Sure, we lost but it was a very exciting game and you never really knew who was going to win! Advanced tickets are $7 (although we tried purchasing such tickets the night before, but no luck), and $10 at the door. Kids under 10 and EMTs are free! This is definitely an athletic and family-friendly event, although a few of the players' names may be a bit suggestive. It looks like they have two local teams - The Notorious VIPs and the Tommy Gun Terrors. But when they play against another city, they combine into the Sin City Rollergirls. (Correct me if I'm wrong please!) The team colors of the Sin City Rollergirls are orange and black. We're definitely looking forward to catching at least one more game before their season ends!

We love that there are only a small number of kids on the ice -- it really allows the coaches to give individual attention, offer feedback, and push each kid to be their best. Coach Zoe is fantastic with the kids and really knows how to tailor drills to their level while still challenging them to work hard and improve. The upstairs viewing area is also a huge bonus -- it's warm, comfortable, and gives you a perfect view of the ice while your kid skates. Highly recommend Elev802 for anyone looking for quality coaching and a great atmosphere!

My son is an 8u goalie and absolutely loves his sessions with Coach Chris Cobb! Chris is incredibly dedicated to the sport and his teaching style adapts well for all ages. He gives the perfect amount of discipline along with encouragement and play throughout his hour long lessons. Whether you're attending his small group or semi-private sessions, you for sure get more than your money's worth! Not only has my son developed so much in the past few months, he's also managed to make friends with other goalies throughout the valley, and that's meant a ton to him. Goalie coaches are rare out here and Chris and his crew of coaches are dependable and communicate well in scheduling. The facility is great and well maintained too. We enjoy our weekly visits. My daughter is a 10u forward and has enjoyed player skills & shooting drills from both Coach John and Coach Zack. Their attention to detail and technique are so helpful in guiding her confidence in accuracy and power. She tends to be rather quiet and shy during lessons, and they both have found their own ways to encourage her and build her skill. I appreciate that though the classes are in a group setting, they speak to each kid quietly when correcting positioning, never bringing a bunch of attention to a student. They celebrate when the kids can follow through and you can see the kids light up! The hour long sessions are packed with useful drills and my daughter always gets off the ice feeling it and excited to try new things at her games. So happy to have this facility and these coaches in Vegas!

CurlVegas is awesome and offers a cool way to stay active and have fun. The four sheets of ice are Olympic size. Within the ice are dice and also card images as markers as an ode to the Las Vegas theme which I loved. They provide the grips for your shoes and no extra special equipment was needed for lessons. Warm clothes and no shorts were recommended for the ice, similar to ice skating clothing. I wore clean tennis shoes that provided grips went on, sweats, hoodie, and had hot packs since my hands get cold but honestly you don't need them but nice to have. I took the Saturday "Learn to Curl" lessons which was 1.5 hours. The lessons began with a thorough briefing and starts with practicing the lunging at the start with the curling stone for the proper sliding form, then the fine art of stressful quick sweeping, then concluded with a mini practice game with the other lesson attendees. In an hour and half, I leaned so much about curling and got to put my new skills to the test. Brad was our instructor for our group of 4 and was super thorough and helpful in making sure we knew the aspects of the game. We had a rock solid experience thanks to his expert instruction! Curling is definitely for all ages and abilities, and I highly recommend for a team experience or birthday event with friends! I might not be Olympic ready but once I got my stones under me it was smoooooth curling. Hoping for top 3 in the corporate challenge curling games!!!

Pathetic, I know, but this girl never learned how to roller skate so I was like a fish outta water. As I clung to my husband and the the edges of the rink for support and stability, I still found myself having an amazingly good time at Down & Derby Roller Skating Disco. This Roller Skating Disco is held at Gold Spike every third Wednesday of the month. There is no cover and roller skate rentals are free. All you have to do is sign a waiver and hand over your ID in exchange for some skates. It's basically FREE fun. Roller disco attire is encouraged, and plenty of people took this to heart. People-watching kept me plenty occupied. The music was surprisingly good. The outdoor DJ mostly played 90s hip-hop like Easy-E's "Cruisin' down the street in my '64" and Biggie Small's "Hypnotize". Got me right in the nostalgic feels. Roller Disco starts at 9PM - this is not the time to show up fashionably late. The line to get skates gets insane by 10:30PM. We arrived at 9:20 and only had two people in front of us. :) Alcohol prices are average for downtown. Bartenders give all alcohol out in plastic cups with a cap and straw for your skating convenience. A small sized draft beer was $4.50. One of my friends said they paid $8-9 for a simple cocktail. All in all, Gold Spike's Down & Derby Roller Skating Disco is as good as it gets! Even better if you legit know how to roller skate lol. It doesn't get any better for a cheap, fun night out on the town on a Wednesday night. YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2015: #242

However, the outdoor seating that they have in Gold Spike is amazing! The whole renovation that they did is wonderful!.. $15: All day to ice-skate and you can come back later in the day as long as you have your wrist-band that they gave you.

The ladies taking the entry fee were super nice and they stamp your hand if you need to run to your car etc. The first time I came here it was chilly that night here in Vegas it was about 46 and I had to run back to the car because it was about 46 inside. My friend's husband is a pro wrestler with Adrenaline Unleashed and so hubby and I went to check out the action. $7 with a current flyer or $9 without. Not bad. They do have a snack bar because I saw it near the restrooms. Not sure, but people were carrying around nachos, popcorn, and sodas. I'm sure they were getting them there. I did notice there is an upstairs area that people were dancing and partying. I could see them through the windows that look out over the rink. From what we gathered is that there is an area upstairs to host parties. It looked like tonight they had a line dancing birthday party. :) The ring is setup on the left side of the roller rink and they had plenty of chairs setup on three sides of the ring. Props, ring, stage etc were setup by the organization and the chairs were the rinks supply. Take note that in the light chill of the Vegas winter and the heat of the Vegas summer...this huge rink is not climate controlled. They do have a HUGE warehouse ceiling fan and my friend said they use that during the summer sometimes.

No, really, I mean that. It looks dangerous and you'd never catch me doing that. I'd give the wrestling match good marks, but the venue... no way. The venue sucks.
