Instead of taking responsibility, the blame was shifted onto the staff. There was also a lack of clear, effective communication throughout the situation, and I found the owner's (Haydee's) responses on Google and Yelp to be petty and unprofessional. The owner also claimed that we arrived early. I walked in around 4:26-4:27 p.m. for a scheduled 4:30 p.m. setup time, so we were only a few minutes early. In hindsight, it's fortunate that we were, because we ended up helping her only staff member clean and organize the venue before my event. Had we arrived exactly at our scheduled setup time, the venue would have still been dirty and disorganized, which would have been embarrassing for me as the host. When I mentioned that the decorations didn't match the theme beyond the paper plates, she didn't seem concerned. She asked me, "Well, is the place not ready for the event?" I replied, "It is now, after we helped clean it." Her response was simply, "Well okay then, the place is ready. I don't know how else you want me to help." At that point, I realized the conversation wasn't going anywhere and ended the call. Afterward, I asked the employee who the owner was, and she told me it was Haydee, the same person I had just spoken with. That was the most disappointing part of the entire experience. I expected the owner to care about both her customers and her employees. Instead, I felt my concerns were dismissed, and it seemed like no accountability was taken for the poor communication, lack of preparation, understaffing, or overall experience. The kids had fun, which is ultimately what mattered most, but the customer service, communication, organization, cleanliness, and attention to detail did not match the premium price. Between the disorganized booking process, poor communication, incomplete decorations, having to clean the venue ourselves before guests arrived, conflicting information from staff, and the dismissive response from the owner, this experience fell far short of expectations. For over $500 for a two-hour event, I expected a much smoother, more professional experience. One final concern was the cleanliness of the facility. Considering how much food, popcorn, sand, trash, and even a used diaper were still out when we arrived, it did not appear that the venue had been thoroughly cleaned or sanitized between events. Since there were two parties before ours, I expected the space to be fully cleaned before our guests, especially young children, arrived. I sincerely hope none of the children who attended our party get sick, because the condition of the facility when we walked in did not give me confidence that it had been properly sanitized before our event.

As for Dinosaur Outpost, since they're tailored to kids, your little ones will love this place. Make sure they bring socks because the play area at the end requires them. You can also buy socks at the gift shop for $3. Though it's not always enforced because I've seen kids running through with their shoes. Also, make sure to sign the waivers ahead of time online so you're not stuck doing it in person. You can either pay ahead for your tickets or buy it there. But upon entering, your kids will have a little fun interactive entrance where they're going back in time to the dinosaur era. Then you enter the first of 3 rooms, but this being the largest. There's a lot for them to do and once in awhile, a Ranger (staff) will bring out a new born dinosaur in their arms for your kids to interact and play/pet with. They also have a small bike course, with bikes on training wheels, a photo-op where they can also sit and ride on a dinosaur. And then the jungle gym-like area where the socks is required. There's a lot for them to do, and a few benches for parents to sit on while they play. Definitely a fun place to go to for the kids while at Town Square.

There's a bike track, a paleontology dig area, a sand zone, puzzles, a tug-of-war game with a triceratops, and even a section where kids can "feed" dinosaurs with balls. At the end, there's also a small jungle gym to climb around on. There are endless things for kids to do here. We easily spent a solid two hours and could've stayed longer. It's the kind of place that keeps them moving, playing, and using their imagination the whole time. I also noticed they host parties, which would be such a fun idea for a birthday. Overall, the price felt very reasonable for how much time we spent there and how much the kids enjoyed it. Honestly, I just wish we had something like this closer to home!

My 7 and 4 year old had a great time playing for an hour and a half. Everything seemed clean and the employees did a good job enforcing the "no shoes" policy for everyone going past the lobby. My gripe is the climbing wall. We arrived a little after 10:30am. My kids saw the climbing wall and ran straight to it, only to find out it was closed. We asked at the desk and they said it would be open at 11am. 11 rolled around and it was still closed. I asked again and they said the employee was running late. The employee arrived around a quarter past 11 and slowly opened it up. Because shoes aren't allowed in the area, they have you put on crocs that they have of various sizes designated for the rock wall. Most of them are broken. After my kids went once they got back in line, only to be informed that the employee "had something to take care of." The climbing wall was then closed for the rest of the time we were there. The time it takes for the employee to strap the climber into the harness, find a pair of broken crocs that fit and explain the rules made the wait 10-15 minutes. While the kids climbed the worker didn't even realize kids repelling down the wall who had finished their climb because she was busy yelling at other kids who were breaking the rules. Honestly not that big of a deal, I just thought it was funny. Now having been to both, I think my kids prefer Wally Wombats, especially my 18 month old daughter who really enjoys the toddler area there. Had the older kids been able to use the climbing wall more, it would have been a better experience and definitely worth the price. If you are on the south side of town it's not a bad way to escape the heat.

At the time, he was mostly non-verbal and had an intense fear of new people and places. After just a few days of what felt like pure torture--filled with non-stop tears and screams--he turned three. At age three, the kids graduate and you get to send them off to "Mr. David's Tumbling Tots." Once again, I was convinced to sign my boy, Jaxson, up. This time, it was two days a week of intense, fear-fueled tantrums. After eight months of private therapy with absolutely no progress, I was desperate. And Mr. David kept telling me, "Keep coming back." Two sessions, eight weeks, twice a week... it got to the point where other parents literally asked for my schedule so they could enroll into the opposite days. And then, Jax touched the mat. He didn't actively participate right away, but simply touching that blue mat freed mommy from the back pain of standing for 60 minutes--or playing a real-life version of Where's Waldo. (A part of me still wonders if he genuinely forgot I was hiding behind that mat, or if it was all part of his plan.) Fast-forward to the present: Jaxson is now four and a half years old, and he is the most talkative, confident, and highly coordinated little man in town. He has truly blossomed, and I owe that recognition entirely to Mr. David. After seeing Jaxson's incredible progression, I enrolled my other two "gremlins" as well. I truly cannot rave enough about how amazing of an instructor he is. Watching their confidence skyrocket, their strength increase, and their behavior improve made me think, "Hey, I could use some of that." So, yes, I joined adult gymnastics! If you are reading this and contemplating coming to this rec center, look for me. I'm the woman on the floor, or the one chasing a little blonde, curly-headed girl around who constantly gives me a run for my money. I will definitely convince you to join. By the end of a session, you honestly wonder what kind of magic Mr. David possesses to get twelve three-year-olds to actually listen. It comes down to the immense effort, compassion, and time he invests in each child. It is rare to find someone who puts their entire heart into what they do. As long as you take your child consistently, they will blossom too--I promise. My children and I are living proof. Since I am now here five days a week, I have met the entire staff, and they couldn't be more welcoming. They are genuine, good-hearted people who make the atmosphere a thousand times better, especially when your kids are acting like... well, "little angels." To me, Whitney Ranch Recreational Center has become my second home. Being here brings me so much joy, and I am incredibly grateful to have found such an amazing program and community.

I've noticed how this class had helped my son. Top 4 recommended classes for Littles is: 1) Tumbling 2) swimming 3) martial arts 4) a group sport We are also in swimming classes at whotney ramch for my 3 yr old and he's doing so great.
