I never added the door, because he would be drilling on a wall where the other side is brick. Yes, I have a real brick wall in one of my bedrooms! It was nice looking when it was done years ago, but now it is a burden. Stanley always responded timely via text and phone calls. He always arrived on time for consultations and appointments. Matter of fact, I just assumed he would be late as most contractors seem to be late. He was ahead of schedule, which is a major plus for me. He made me get the supplies, which at first made me really nervous because I don't know anything about handiwork/construction. I'm not going to lie that frustrated me, but it also motivated me to become aware of the parts going into the projects. This is my first time doing home improvements. I sent him pictures of the supplies. He ok'd it and the supplies I purchased worked out. He does quality work. He had assistance from his also equally friendly business partner. His pricing was fair and there were no surprises when payment was required. When he presented the final product, I was so pleased. I will be hiring him for future projects. I have already made a list and he is getting me quotes as we speak. Check with his payment methods prior to hiring him. Awesome job!!!

My experience with Handyman Kai was horrible. He turned a simple drywall job into a three-day…read morenightmare that was left incomplete. He was tasked with detecting the source of a leak and doing a drywall repair and paint job. He did a good job finding where the leak was, but everything went downhill from there. The problem began when he was dishonest about several things. He said he had someone to fix the leak because he "didn't do heights", but that person never materialized. Handyman Kai tried to fix that part himself. Then, he claimed I bought the wrong drywall product, but he said it was still "ok". But he kept using that as an excuse for why the project was not progressing as planned instead of recognizing he was in over his head. Next, he initially underpriced the job and later wanted more money. I wanted to pay him what was fair because I valued his time. I was very polite to him under extremely annoying circumstances that he created. He did not have a ladder or a blow-dryer/fan to do the project on time. So, we had to wait for the mud to dry naturally. This took hours/days of unnecessary extra time. The area he was patching was approximately 28 by 20. It was not a large area at all. He was clearly disgruntled, and it appeared to affect his mood. He asked me for half of the balance on the second day. I paid him considerably more than half. That left me with a minimal balance to pay him. Then he did the unthinkable. He requested someone else to complete the job on FB for $75 (he has since deleted the post). I still gave him the benefit of the doubt in an effort to allow him to finish a job that was a mess to begin with. Painter's tape was exposed, and cracks were seen throughout the job. I offered him more money than I owed to motivate him to finish the project. After our in-person conversation, where we agreed on the amount, he cancelled the job by text after he left. Now, I have an unfinished ceiling, and I have to pay someone else to come out and redo the job. So, he claims he made no money on the job because he had to pay this imaginary person who did not exist. Yet, he offers to give me a partial refund in a week. Does that make any sense at all? He makes things up as he goes along. Handyman Kai demonstrated a lack of integrity, and I did not appreciate the double-talk I received from him. Good luck if you choose him for a project. I hope your experience is better than mine,

Ryan and his team at Housing Solutions recently completed a total bathroom remodel in my home and I…read morelove the way it turned out.  The quality of workmanship is some of the best I've ever seen.  The guys checked in with me frequently as work progressed to get my input on the exact placement of things such as the shower niche and grab bars as well as all the fixtures outside the shower. They arrived each day on time, always professional in their work and considerate of my space as I was home during this entire project.  Each work day ended with a clean up of the project area.  Ryan kept me in the loop every step of the way, calling and stopping by to check the progress. I also think Ryan's pricing is very reasonable. I did a partial remodel of a bathroom a few years ago, and that project cost almost as much as this total gut and rebuild. I would definitely hire Ryan again for my next project.

I had meant to turn the air on, because the last forecast (2 days old) I listened to it was suppose to be in the high 70's. I was working in Durham, and realize it was going to be 85 or higher. I was frantic about the heat in the house since Puppy was left inside. Imagine my surprise when I walked in at 6 and it was only 71 degrees in the house, and the thermostat was still on heat.
