All of Kiama's hipsters and skaters and gym kids and anyone with a Mumford and Son style felt hat and a beard and active wear and cool sneakers and sleeveless shirts and shimmery hair all hotfoot it down to this little could-be-at-Bondi cafe for a dose of the good stuff in an environment that makes people-watching as fun as eating and/or drinking. On a cracking day the outside seats are where you wanna be, otherwise hunker down inside and order pretty much anything from the kick-ass menu, it's progressive enough that you'll never get bored with the usual brunchy type dishes you've had a thousand times, they kick things up to the Pepsi Max with meals like Muscle Pancakes made with protein and cacao nibs, chilli scrambled eggs, an Acai Detox bowl with kale and coconut water, and a shitload of awesome coffee and salads and, oh yes, burgers are a thing at lunch time and there's heaps to choose from and they're epic and that's all I have to say about that.

Best burger and chips in town. This place is in one the terraces in Collins Street and is very popular for good reason. Great coffee too.

It was just a bit too loud, and they moved us as soon as a table outside opened up.

Waited for a table which we thought was a good sign that the food must be good. Got a nice seat by the window, so happy start! Ordered 2 flat whites, Eggs benny & a banana bread for hubby. Coffees came..... , ..............., ............... (time) Just to let you know by now there are empty tables everywhere.. An hour later, I kid you not! Others that came in had already eaten and left.. I asked them how long more.. at least the banana bread? another 5 mins they say. ....... 15 mins later again.... My husband had a conference meeting with NYC so by the time Breakfast came he had left to leave my on my lonesome on this trip to eat brekky... YES we still had to pay for the banana bread.. So to my Eggs Benny.. It is stated to be served on a muffin.. I added Mushrooms & Hash brown - roughly 4 - 4.50 extra each. If that was a muffin it was the dense heavy muffin I have had! It was like a burger bun - maybe they ran out of muffins... but be courteous and let me know. It was plated OK but honestly not much flavor there... The hash brown was sprinkle With what I think was Dukkar or some horrible mix of flavored salt and I couldn't eat it.. YUK! Overall was very disappointing and wish I didn't waste my money.

Nice spot but where do I begin? I'm always torn when coming to a place but not fully experiencing…read moreit. This place was recommended to us by a local family friend. We came in thinking it was just a coffee shop, but it's essentially a restaurant that also has a focus on coffee. They have a full bar and a window to the outside where you can order just coffee and tea to go. As for the interior it's dimly lit and sort of has romantic date night vibes. We essentially only ordered coffee and one person ordered a cake slice. The lychee cake was pretty good per my aunt. A couple people ordered the Coco Loco, which is basically an espresso martini on steroids with Nutella and something like a Ferrero Rocher. I ordered a latte and their Affogato. The latte was very smooth and BI is arguably one of the best I've ever had. Is the Affogato a cheat code because they use like a tiramisu ice cream? You could argue that case. You can also buy their blends of coffee beans, subject to availability. While the latte was very smooth, I can't say it was mind blowing but it was still pretty good.

I also reserve 4 and 5 star reviews for exceptional service with unforgettable dining experiences. The ambience is intimate but also noisy. I will say the coffee here and in Australia in general is some of the best coffee I've ever had. I ordered (2) espresso martinis, pancakes, and the sirloin steak breakfast with a side hashbrown. My pancakes were stone cold but I will say the aesthetics on it made it edible. The pistachio butter cream was to die for. My steak was ok ; for the price I simply just wanted more. I could be wrong but I doubt it was even 6oz. If you have this place on your radar be sure to make reservations. This goes for almost every restaurant in Sydney. My server was Cassie who was very personable and even gave us tips on what to watch out for dining in Sydney.
