What's good about the Boato is (a) the menu is slightly better than your average RSL, and (b) it's got great views. It's up on a hillside looking down over 7 Mile Beach, and all the seats by the windows - especially up on the mezzanine level - boast some pretty impressive scenery. And the food is big time value for money: my pork ribs were huge, cooked until they fell from the bone, and slathered in smokey barbecue sauce, with chips and salad, for $22.
