A vibe! Perfect moody setting. And the shoestring fries are the perfect crispiness. Chefs kiss!

Here on a slow Monday night. One of the only places downtown open late. The moody setting is wonderful and the fries taste like McDonald's fries in the best way!

Burger was the star but the lil spanish meatballs and artichoke were to die for too!!

Wow, what a great new spot!! A friend and I came to catch up and enjoy some food and drinks, and we couldn't have been more satisfied. First the drinks; I enjoyed the White Lotus, super refreshing and yummy. My friend decided to get one of the virgin crafted cocktails Spa Day and neither of our drinks lasted long we couldn't stop drinking them! Their selection on tap was also delightful, I had to try the blueberry lavender cider too and I wasn't disappointed! Second the food; melt in your mouth cheeseburger!! The best I've had in a long time and that's saying a lot, that was the star of the show for me, but the artichoke and little spanish meatballs were also soo delicious. Third, the atmosphere; I love the feeling of this spot, you can feel that it has a soul with the fireplace, stained glass and skylights. We sat on one of the big couches and just had the best of times! Ordering at the bar was straightforward like any other bar, we got a number for food and it was brought out by the chef- the wait wasn't long at all, our experience was around 2 hours and included getting up to order more as the night went on. There was cards if we wanted to play and a pool table too. I will most certainly be coming back.

They serve also acai bowls and some other food, but today my friend and I wanted to try a coffee or a potion drink. My friend got the matcha. She said it was a bit strong, but she asked for it less sweet so maybe that is why it tasted a little bitter. I had the dandelion latte which was supposed to be good for the stomach. It had a slightly sweet flavor but not too sweet because I asked for it less sweet. It was actually very very good. They were served in rustic bowls like a potion. The atmosphere has the mystical alchemy theme throughout with couches, separate rooms and cool hammock chair swings to sit in. Very cool vibe. If in the area again, I will definitely be back to try something else and for that dandelion latte.

They have a variety of options for acai bowls, as well as really cool drinks, aka the elixirs. Each one serves a different purpose i'd say which is super cool and fun to browse through. The worker was super friendly and helpful when we asked questions. The inside is also such a cool vibe, with hammocks hung up and multiple cozy hang out spots. I would definitely check this spot out when you are in Santa Cruz!

When I asked about purchasing a local cider they carried I was given directions to the maker, what time they opened, and who I should talk to when I get there. Now that's going above and beyond. There was a nice variety of drinks and they were delicious. I loved the layout of the venue very intimate with the stage but still tons of standing room and if you didn't want to be inside with the crowd there was a tv with the ample outside seating where you could watch the band. The bathrooms were very spacious and super clean. The little taco stand in the back was perfect too. The tacos were delicious. I wish we had a place just like Moe's in Sacramento . I will definitely come to Moe's again next time in town.

He asked for my ID despite not asking any of my other family members, even though it was obvious I had arrived with them. That immediately made me question why I was being treated differently due to his tone and professionalism. Throughout the event, he continued staring me down in a way that felt intimidating and unnecessary. Then, after already announcing that there were 15 minutes left before closing, he approached me again and told me I needed to finish my drink right then. The tone and approach felt aggressive and disrespectful. I understand security has a job to do, but there is a professional and respectful way to interact with people. Instead, I left feeling targeted as a Latina, uncomfortable, and unwelcome at an event that was supposed to be about celebrating community and culture.

We truly couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience. The venue was the perfect size--large enough for everyone to feel comfortable, yet intimate enough to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our family and friends. One of the most delightful surprises was learning that they had closed the venue to the public for our private event. We had expected to share the evening with their regular patrons, so discovering that the entire space was ours for the night was such a special touch. On a Friday night, that felt especially generous and made the evening even more memorable. And the food! Everything was absolutely delicious--and plentiful. Their cookies deserve a special mention; they are fabulous, and we were delighted to learn that they use Dolly Parton's recipe! The cost was incredibly reasonable for hosting a dinner for approximately 35 people, followed by welcome drinks for roughly 75 guests. We felt that we received tremendous value while still having such a beautiful and special experience. The views from the top level of the pier were breathtaking, and we were fortunate enough to be treated to a glorious sunset as well. It was truly the perfect backdrop for the beginning of our son's wedding weekend. Most of all, the staff made the experience exceptional. They were professional, attentive, fun, and wonderfully human. You can genuinely feel the pride of ownership at Vino by the Sea, and it shines through in every aspect of the experience. The next time we're in Santa Cruz, we will absolutely be dining at Vino by the Sea again. Thank you for giving our family such a fabulous and memorable experience. We will always remember the wonderful moments we shared there!

I go to shows all the time. Free shows at Shanty Shack, Midtown, Tue wharf series you name it. Vino by the Sea really went low and dirty tonight. Punishing sober patrons and losing my local business. Don't bring your sober friends here...they will be kicked out for not spending money. Met a group of friends here for a show and drinks. My friends had been at the bar for about two hours, ate food and ordered a couple hundred dollars worth of drinks. They had been over served and slurring their speech by the time I got there. I show up and try not to lose it when I order a glass of wine and it's $23. I have spent $500+ on a single dinner for two and still got sticker shock at $23 for a glass. Whatever it was good. My sober friends who came with me to join the group were asked to leave because they were not buying drinks. I explained to the owner/bar tender they are sober and we are with a group of highly intoxicated friends who are spending a lot of money. They were still asked to leave. So they left. The only thing I said to the staff was that my sober friends should not be forced to spend money and apparently that was rude. I was calm, smiling and did not raise my voice or cause a scene. The 2nd they saw me take out my phone and write a yelp review I was kicked out
