Meet the Business Owner: Dave C.
Late in 2011, Dave felt God asking him to open a Non-for-Profit Thrift Store in Pekin, IL to help out the many families and individuals of the community and surrounding counties with necessary items like clothing, furniture and household needs at very family friendly pricing. Therefore we became the Home of the .99 cent clothes. Being a father of 6 children living on a very limited income, he knew the need and value of gently used good quality clothing and household items for his family. This helps the tight budgets stretch even farther.
So on June 1, 2012 the doors of The HOPE Chest of Pekin were opened to the public in hopes of Helping Other People Excel by providing quality items at very family friendly prices. Later, we were able to see a Food Pantry opened to also help others by meeting needs of food. This has developed into a fully operating food pantry and now Pet Food Pantry too 2 afternoons a week.
Often you will find Dave helping out in the warehouse processing clothes
