It has a firmly rooted surf culture. We regularly spend time in the Pleasure Point area renting vacation houses there in June. We recently got back from renting a property right on East Cliff named, "The Cabin." Great rental with an awesome view of the Bay and surfers. We enjoy seeing all the locals and tourists walk, ride their e-bikes, or surf there. It's location is near Capitola, the Santa Cruz Boardwalk , and many local restaurants, bars, coffee spots you'd expect. They have an annual neighborhood festival there every June also that's very fun to attend. Over 100 vendors sell arts, crafts, local services, food and beverages. They have a kids zone, beer garden and local bands perform a variety of styles of music on two stages including Americana, Blues, Rock, Reggae and Surf Music. Pleasure Point is a great area!

The vibe is laid-back and the view of the ocean is just stunning. Whether you're a surfer or just enjoying the sights, it's a fantastic place to hang out. Careful of the sneaker waves though!

Today I got the Day Pass which was perfect! I hung out on the patio and did some computer work while I waited for the tides to drop. They had wifi, lockers for my stuff and an outdoor shower to rinse off. The staff were rad; so helpful! My experience was so great that I bought the month membership! Driving an hour to surf, this is gonna be my home away from home. Thank you, friends for a great day!

Unfortunately, the front staff was unresponsive and dismissive despite having a delivery confirmation--causing us to make two unnecessary trips. But when I reached out to Tanner directly, he was prompt, professional, and incredibly thoughtful in resolving the situation. It's rare to find business owners so committed to customer satisfaction. Because of him, we'll definitely continue shopping here. I'm giving four stars only because the front desk experience needs improvement. Staff should be better informed and more proactive. I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered at this store…read more I came in to purchase some apparel for my children, and my daughter picked out a shirt that was on clearance. As I was checking out, the cashier informed me that all clearance sales were final. I acknowledged that and told him that was fine. The problem began when the cashier struggled to remove the security sensor from the shirt. After several unsuccessful attempts, he decided to use wire cutters to remove it while it was still attached to the shirt. My husband even pointed out that doing so would likely damage the garment. Despite the warning, the cashier continued and ultimately tore a sizeable hole in the armpit of the shirt. At that point, we understandably told him we no longer wanted the shirt since it had been damaged by an employee during the checkout process. To our disbelief, the cashier insisted that "all sales are final." I explained that the shirt was not damaged when we agreed to purchase it and that the damage occurred because of their employee's actions. A manager was then called over and made the equally absurd statement that clearance items are on sale because they are defective. The shirt was not defective when we selected it--it became defective because their employee damaged it while attempting to remove the security tag. Rather than taking responsibility for their mistake, they told us we either had to find another item of the same price or take the ripped shirt. Their complete lack of accountability and customer service was shocking. In the end, we found another shirt, sparing them from having to refund the $18.95 they seemed so determined not to return. The entire situation could have been resolved with a simple apology and common sense. Instead, we were met with excuses, poor service, and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Based on this experience, I will never shop here again and would not recommend this store to anyone.

She helped us understand many aspects of beginning surfing without making it overwhelming. Our group was at Cowell's Beach and the tide/swell was perfect for a beginner day. There were others in the water with us (not from our class) but Selah was expert at helping us to pick our line. The day couldn't have gone better. For a first-time beginner, I highly recommend this school!

I have been wanting to try surfing for the longest time and finally gathered up my courage to do it…read moreyesterday. Richie was so awesome, assured me that I could do it and kept encouraging and helping me to catch the waves. I was about to give up after a few tries when I rode my first one. I didn't expect that on my first lesson, as I never swim in the ocean before so it has been a euphoric experience. Still smiling when I think about it. Thank you Richie for making my dream come true! Definitely will get a lesson from Richie again if I'm in the area again.
