Second time, they gave me incorrect information about VA medical benefits that resulted in me paying for 10 years worth of insurance when I could have been being treated for free by the VA. Third time, I went in to get help regaining online access. They treated me like I was an inconvenience and was annoying them. They didn't help me one bit. Avoid at all costs. Would give zero stars if I could.

The Taylor County Veterans' Service Office is AMAZING!!! My mom and I went to see about her…read moresurvivor's benefits and to get help on completing the paperwork. The first thing I noticed was the decor. We all know how institutional and bleak these places are, but not here. The place was warm and inviting. It really paid the respect to our Veterans that they deserve. We later found out the staff did this on their own. They worked to get items donated, used their skills to build items and what they couldn't get donated they paid out of their own pockets!!! The first person we met was Marcus. He was very friendly and told us that he would have Ron help us. We then met Ron. He was very kind to my mom which meant so much. My mom is 80 yrs old and was very intimidated by the whole process. Ron took my mom's information, told her what he would need from her and Marcus set up her appointment. They made her feel so comfortable that she said she could go back by herself.
