We needed to purchase some fans for my granny's house. I was impressed with the kindness and knowledge of those working.

The absolute worst customer service. No one cares here. You can't ever get a hold of anyone over the phone in the department you need to reach. The cashier who answers will not listen to you- she just switches you over so quickly before you can tell her that you were just switched and waited over 30 minutes for someone in flooring to pick-up. She doesn't let you finish speaking and transfers over AGAIN so quickly because she wants to get rid of you. Everyone here just wants to get rid of you and not help. They are lazy, they are the reason people think Caribbean people are lazy and no good. They are shameless and unprofessional. Shame on the employees in Home Depot and shame on management for not caring enough to make sure this isn't happening over and over again. read more

I really liked this Home Depot a lot pre hurricane irma and Maria and hope it'll get back to the way that it used to be. Although I'm happy for the island that it's running again so people can get back to work and residents can get supplies I totally disagree with the price gouging here with anything relating to electrical or a generator. Really $90-$150 for a 100ft extension cord? $80 for a 50ft one? Totally not cool! The same brands at Home Depot's stateside are over 50% less. We just went through a few natural disasters, cut the people living here a break! If you do venture here the store is 1/10th the size it used to be due to hurricane damage ( so don't expect to find what you are looking for) and they are limiting the amount of people in at time. They are accepting credit cards and household cleaning supplies are still reasonably priced. Customer service here has also tanked, I get it, it's hard living without water and power, it makes people edgy but don't take it out on your customers that are keeping your business going. The cashiers go out of their way to not even say a word to you now, no "hello" or "good day" and another customer in line is a bother. No matter how big or small the purchase no way you're not getting out of this store in under an hour, & that's if you're lucky! Try buying a gallon of paint & this will add another hour to your trip. The busiest dept. in the store & rarely more than one person working there. Try calling to ask a question, impossible to get anyone on the phone. I live 1 mile from the store & I can get there faster in my car. Try getting help out to your car w/ lumber, concrete & other large items~ add another half hour to your trip. Need to elevate your blood pressure~a trip to this store will do it! Nothing better to do one day~a trip here will fix that. One word review for this store- EXASPERATING. The Home Depot here on STT is yet another "normal" store that I am super thankful we have!! The store is pretty much exactly like a Home Depot stateside, and has lots and lots of items in stock. We come here pretty often as its a great place to get tools, home improvement items, and gardening stuff. The prices aren't too bad either, and we usually end up getting good deals on cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and paper towels here. Its a great store and like I said I'm REALLY happy to have it here! Another great thing about this Home Depot is that they sell their knockoff brand, HDX or something like that, and its usually cheaper than name-brand products. I get their generic version whenever I can, the products are just the same as name-brand and much cheaper as well! They also have a fairly good gardening section, as well as live plants like fruit trees or flowering bushes like hibiscus. They have a wide selection of many products, and I can usually find what I need, or something similar. Their home improvement area is good as well, and they have a fairly wide selection of tools and the like also. Like I said its a great store, and definitely fills a much needed niche here on island. I wish I could give this store ZERO stars! I cannot even believe that the "Home Depot brand" has not shut this store down yet!!! The lack of customer service here is unbelievable!! The workers here rather spit on customers than answer any questions!!! I absolutely DREAD coming to this store!!! My first trip here I tried to make a 30,000 dollar purchase and the employees basically laughed me off and told me no that they weren't going to make an order that big. They are always out of Atleast half of the things I come to buy. I could literally write a novel of how horrible this store is!!!!! This store should just be shut down!! read more

Because Yelp mandates some amount of stars be given, I am giving this horrible establishment 1 star. This store has absolutely zero customer service. My nightmare began after purchasing an Amana branded cooktop/stove on 1-1-2017 as a gift for my parents. After realizing that the cooktop worked but the oven and broiler did not, I opted to notify Home Depot in efforts to return the item. I was placed on inordinately long holds with hold times lasting anywhere from 30-40+ minutes, encountered rude associates who either hung up the phone or flatly admitted that he/she did not know what to do or how to be of assistance. I was even given the GE manufacturer's number only to be told by a GE representing that my Amana cooktop/stove is not manufactured by GE and Home Depot must stop telling its customers inaccurate information. It is now 2.8.2017 and I am still unable to get more than subpar service or, most importantly, return my dysfunctional appliance. Please either avoid this merchant or do not expect quality customer service!!!!! read more

Great experience each time I have been there. There is a large selection of items to choose from and I have successfully found what I needed each time. The prices are very reasonable. I have gotten items on sale as well so that has been a plus. Definitely a place I go when I need home improvement items. read more
