Home Depot sends me a 10% off of purchases for 299 or more. I order over 3500 worth of stuff and they refuse to give me the 10% off stating it is because I'm a member and get a discount. I tell the manager (who was short with me) that I've always been able to use the 10% off. She says well you can have no interest for 6 months which is on the same discount card as the 10% off! I told her I'm not happy with this situation and she did not give a reasonable reason why I can use the no interest and not the 10% off with the discount coupon... read more

Think long and hard before you have Home Depot of Hermiston manage the installation of your flooring. We purchased top of the line Pergo WaterProof flooring for our kitchen, entry, dining, hall, and parlor. They hired the contractor (HOM Solutions) who hired a sub-contractor (Wasatch Flooring). What they said was a two day job (with all our furniture moved - by us- to another room) turned out to be 4 days because they showed up at 10 and left for an hour lunch and then worked maybe another 3 hours before being done for the day. And... they DID NOT FOLLOW MANUFACTURER REQUIREMENTS for installation - thus voiding manufacturer's warranty. We asked Home Depot to take car of this and make it right... they offered to pay 1/3 of the cost to do the job right, have HOM Solutions pay 1/3, and we would have to pay 1/3 AND do the work to remove the incorrectly laid floor and repair at our own expense any damage done to subfloor because of seepage caused by failure to follow manufacturer's requirements. We are in the process of taking all to small claims court. 5 months later, we still have unfinished floors and displaced furniture while we wait... Specifically: perimeter was not sealed as required and rather than interlock the panels as designed, they cut and butted them - leaving gaps up 1/8-1/4" between ends... read more

This past weekend I came down to The Home Depot in Hermiston and I was helped by a young lady named Carson and a gentleman named Sonny. I had a small kitchen project this weekend that involved me buying three kitchen panty cabinets. Sonny helped me locate all the cabinets the store had on hand, and Carson was able to help me purchase the remaining cabinets from the nearest stores in the area (Richland). No complaints with the customer service here. Purchased a range from them a month ago and everyone was helpful streamlining the purchase. I recently ordered a high quality airless paint sprayer there. Once again, customer service was good. The only complaint I have is that Home Depot only offers military discounts on items in stock in that store! My item wasn't stocked at that store so I spent more than I should have, always a good feeling. Also wasted my time when I could have just done it from home and not get the discount. Lowes is looking really good with their online military discount ... just sayin 03/07/20 If it weren't for shopping tax free here I would never come back. Special ordered 700$ worth of remodel stuff for kitchen and bath. When the order was ready for pickup I went to get it. They gave half of my order to another customer and I had to wait another week before i could go back and pick it up. Before I went back I called to be sure they had the stuff. They said they did. Contrary to the bad reviews here, the people in the appliances section were knowledgeable and helpful, and they always did their best to get back to me and answer my questions, even when it should have been someone else's job. They worked with me through a difficult delivery, three different delivery addresses and pushing back delivery for months on end. They went above and beyond. Mildred, in particular, did a great job helping me out. Remember that most people only leave reviews when they're angry. These people are actually doing their best. And it's really fine. read more

Home Depot used to give 10% veterans discount but since they changed to the app the discount is about 1% in the items we purchased. They removed many items from the discount availability. No longer is a savings worth pursuing. Will probably do much more shopping at lowes. read more

This pertains to the store in Hermiston, Oregon... I don't understand this. I cannot get a complete order from this store. In planning a project, I go to their website and find that at least 1/2 of everything I want is out of stock. However, their website tells me that I can get it in West Richland or Kennewick in Washington. Then, when I do order something in stock, I don't get it. It took customer service to find out why. If I wanted to go to Washington to get supplies, I'd do it. This is not an oddity with this store. It is a common occurrence. If Kennewick and West Richland can keep their stores stocked, why can't this one? Is it because they have a Lowe's ( a far superior store with better aisle markings and displays!) located in their cities? Also - why is it that, when an order is delivered or you pick it up at the store, there is no bill of lading or a receipt? Or even a picklist? I worked in retail for many years and have never seen such a boat-anchor. chewing gum and baling wire organization like this! I am going to write to Lowe's and see if they'd be interested in showing us here in Hermiston how a good store is run. read more

My husband and I purchased a new refrigerator from Home Depot. The two delivery men were so rude and had the poorest customer service we have encountered. On delivery day, they called from a neighbor's house and said they couldn't come any further as the neighbor's tree branches were touching the top of their truck. (The garbage truck, cement trucks and numerous other delivery trucks have had no problem coming to our house). We asked what we were supposed to do. They said "have your neighbors cut down their tree and we will return in 2 weeks to redeliver the item. Seriously?? My husband drove our pickup to them and they loaded the appliance in the back of it. He asked if one of them could come and help him as we are senior citizens. They refused to do so. He also asked them to wait and he would return with the old refrigerator that we had paid to remove. They said they would wait 5 minutes. He hurried home and as quickly as we could loaded up the old one. (It was very hard between just the two of us). When he went back, they were gone. Unbelievably poor customer service. If possible lower than a one star rating would be given. With their attitude and manner they should not be working with people. read more

I agree, this store has absolutely the worst customer service ever. I ordered a microwave, after waiting probably 20 minutes for them to find it and nobody to help me load it, I finally did it myself. Got it home and after installing it, discovered it did not work. Home Depot offered to send a repair man, I stated that it was a brand new appliance and I wanted a replacement. Finally after speaking with the manager, I got them to order me a new one. Never received a call or notification that it was in--finally called again and it had been in the store for 2 1/2 weeks. Probably not going to return to buy the additional kitchen appliances that I need :( read more

Went to the Hermiston Oregon Homedepot store found the product and when we went to order it was asked by the associate where I lived and I told them Washington state I was then informed that they could not order it for me because the store manager had a policy that they would not order out of state and the reason was because I would not pick it up when it came in. Now we are talking about 1500.00 dollars or more and I do carry an Homedepot card and planned on paying for the product at this time. I just got off the phone with Home Depot's carpet installation this morning. That phone call marks the 4th time scheduling a carpet installation date in 4 months because of the same defect each time. Here is just my opinion and first hand testimony about Hermiston Oregon's Home Depot. I worked at the Hermiston Oregon Home depot for 3 and a half years and never got a correction or complaint and always got positive reviews and was never offered a "Full time Job". They say they are the largest company that caters to Disabled Veterans, but I doubt that now. I left the company to join Hermiston's Ranch and Home team who offered me a full time job with retirement and benifits. So sad that I had to waist 3 and a half years waiting to be reconized!!! One thing that I did not agree with was putting used items back on the shelf to sell as new. I would hope that this Corporation would also staff the business so that customers would really receive better service and work on the safety of it's employee's! read more
