Where do I begin? We needed new appliances because everything decided to go bad all at once, so I went to the only place in town, Elko, Nevada, with a decent selection of major appliances. The young lady in the appliance department was very helpful and placed my orders for delivery and haul away. Good, so far. She even recommended a couple of brands that seemed to be more reliable than others. When she put in my order for delivery, she asked if I preferred morning or afternoon delivery. I opted for afternoon, as I have other important obligations in the mornings. Again, good so far. I was told delivery of my major appliances was set for June 5th in the AFTERNOON. Delivery day rolled around and I was on my way to town to keep a morning appointment, when what should I hear on my phone but an alert from my security system that someone had rung my doorbell. At 10:56am. In the morning. Guess who it was! You guessed it. It was the delivery team! I had to keep my appointment and I tried to communicate this with the guy who rang my doorbell, but he had trouble understanding me. Then, in the background, in a thick accent, I could hear another voice ask if they could just leave my delivery (four heavy major appliances) in the garage of my TWO LEVEL HOUSE! Um, no. How am I, a 64 year old man with a bad leg, supposed to get a stove and a dishwasher up to the kitchen of my SPLIT LEVEL HOUSE? I told them that would not be possible and I was then informed they would return later that day. Great. After my appointment was completed, I contacted the Elko, Nevada Home Depot service department, where I was given a number to call for the delivery department WHICH IS LOCATED IN WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH! I was told the re-delivery would be delayed because one of the workers had to be taken to the ER here because of an injury he had sustained on another deliver but that the crew would still make the delivery that day. Okay, then. Or, is it? However, not half an hour after talking to the agent of Home Depot's delivery center, I get a call from some guy with a heavy Spanish accent who said (I think) that they were at my house again. Bro! I'm still in town, 18 miles away! It's going to take me a half hour at least to get there due to city traffic, road construction, and neighborhood speed limits! Then, the call just disconnected! I got home in 29 minutes, exactly, aaaaaaaaaand no truck, no crew, and no appliances. A bit irate, I contacted the Home Depot delivery center number again and spoke to a different agent who told me that the crew was already on their way back to West Valley City, UTAH and that I would have to reschedule the delivery. So, he then advised the next day available would be June 9th. Fine. Just do it. June 9th, any time. Okay, fast forward to June 9th, the scheduled day of the delivery. I'm home all morning and all afternoon, aaaaaaaaaand...............no truck, no crew, no appliances. At just before 2pm PDT, I called the Home Depot Delivery Center, again, and asked, irately, "Where are my appliances?" The agent on the other end, after confirming that I had, indeed, ordered four major appliances, said that I was actually scheduled for delivery on June 10th, and not June 9th as I had been informed five days earlier by another one of their agents. She added she had no idea why I was told that my expensive, heavy, and very necessary appliances were to be delivered on the 9th day of June, 2025. Um, maybe that was because the agent I talked to five days ago had said to me, in plain English, "June 9th?" Wow. Just...........wow. I have no idea what is wrong with these people, and apparently, neither do they! I'm not even sure if they are self-aware! Here's the best part! When I was told one of the workers had injured himself and had to be taken to the ER, I was told the injury had occurred on another delivery. However, what should I find when I got home that day, the 5th day of June, 2025, but a blood-soaked paper napkin lying in a substantial trail of dried blood RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE MY DRIVEWAY! i bought a gas range on oct 30. the orifices were wrong and the holders were stripped because i did not return it within 48 houirs i had to deal with whirpool corp which was a joke. i bought replacent parst and low and behold same crap orifices were wrong home depot was very little help and whirpool service sucks. i bought american made and should have bought something made in china. the sales people at home depot did all they could but because the people in the upstairs office make the rules. i even offered to buy a range twice the value if they would credit the original price i paid against the purchase price. oh no cannot do that we would have to absorb the loss so guess who gets screwed the unvalued customer!!! please forwrd this to home depot headquqrters!!!!!! read more

I've shopped at Home Depot in Phoenix, AZ for 8 years. August of 2024 my wife and I moved to Battle Mountain, NV. Home Depot Elko has become our favorite Home Depot thus far. The first couple times we shopped there, we were greeted by many employees. Also, been offered help which NEVER happened in Phoenix, AZ Home Depot. Recently been shopping for a contractor company, and Meghan at Customer Service has been great handling my Pro Needs. She greets well, and calls my customers to take over the phone sales. She also has employees help gather material and they help me load. My only complaint is Trinity at Customer Service. On two separate occasions she has given me grief. The first occasion I let her know that employees were helping me gather the supplies. She said, "You know they can't load without you paying for it." Assuming I was stealing the merchandise. I was upset, and let her know about the heavy accusation. The second interaction she was helping a customer and when it was my turn she says, "You know you can go to Pro Desk if I'm busy." I replied with, "Good morning, Trinity. That is how you properly greet a customer." Then I asked her if I could have employees gather some metal roofing for me. She says, "You know we don't personal shop for you." I immediately asked for a manager. Thanks to Jaren Gillespie and Lara Micolichek I was able to get my (2) over the phone sales complete and they even gathered the material and bundled it up. Two other associates bundled it and loaded into my pickup. Everything Trinity refused to do, so I thank Jaren and Lara for their amazing service. They deescalated and helped me from the beginning to end with a smile on their face. Jaren assured me that Trinity would be handled internally. Thank you Jaren, and Lara. I drove 55 miles to get help on an AP PRO. IT is 100% False Advertisement. I have over $3000.00 in receipts!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When you load the receipts they do not load even after checking the next day. When you try to add other receipts it states this is past 25 months even though it was purchased 3 months ago. Then you go to add other receipts and it says this receipt is associated with another account. However if you check the other accounts no money has been added. So don't let this AP think HomeDepot is the only place to shop because your going to get some great gift card or whatever-go to LOWES and shop cheaper with customer service, its worth the extra $10 in gas to get to one. read more

I don't like to write reviews & can usually laugh at the silly things people get mad at when reading them BUT there's a time & a place for reviews-either something is too good to not write one or something is terrible & you want to save someone else's time & $$$$, and help them run far from it. I can't give this HD a 1 star because I'm sure they're trying to do their best but I can't give them any higher than a 2 because in the year we've been doing a big Reno: Every. Single. Thing. Has. Come. In. Wrong. Color, size, doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if you double, triple check the errors in your order form, someone is going to tell you they've got it figured out or will get right on it. But they don't. And you pay big money for big mistakes they won't take back OR that cost you months to receive after a reorder. So, yeah, run. Run far and support local businesses that actually have their stuff together and care about customer service. P.S. Home Depot, pay your crew a better wage which would hopefully = better training, better accountability, better customer service = less mistakes = happier customers = more $$ for your business (since that's what it's really all about for these big stores) read more

One should read YELP reviews before one makes a significant purchase. I write this review today because I want to warn off others from falling into the pit like I did. I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator from these folks officially in November 2012 (with a 5 year service policy). My HD card was charged each month for the "interest free" payments, but I never had delivery of my appliance until March 2013. One excuse after the other; mainly blaming the manufacturer for not sending enough units for them to deliver. In the interim I bought a dorm room size mini fridge from Walmart for less than $100 to hold us over during the interim. I never knew how valuable that Walmart purchase was going to be. This HD purchase failed three (3) times after that purchase. The unit with the repair plan cost me over $2000 (obviously not bottom of the barrel). I was told I would be waiting approximately 2 weeks before a repair technician could get to me and repair the unit. That waiting period turned out to be more like 6-8 weeks for each occurrence. The repairs did not hold. I have lost approximately $200 in spoiled groceries (during each failure) that I could not save when then the refrigerator decided to go on strike. Again the little Walmart fridge (made in China) kept on chugging (Thank God). I called to press my claim under the "service plan" only to face a lot of "I don't knows". I threw down and said that I want a complete replacement (as specified in the service plan) if a 4th occurrence happens to this "outstanding" purchase of mine. The 4th occurrence just happened and guess what ... I am now "out of warranty". With just 5 years of use, I wonder if this is a new standard of planned obsolescence. No effort on HD's part to step up to customer service. Each down time again equals lost food, cleanup of mess, lost time from work,. and building anger. The little Walmart fridge, by-the-way, is still working after 5 years with no issues. Having it as a backup was a gift from above, allowing us to keep the basics cool (bread, milk, eggs, sandwich meat and cheese). I have now found a new vendor and am purchasing a similar sized refrigerator (actually slightly larger), with a 5 year service plan (that reimburses for spoiled food should something go wrong), and at half the price of my HD purchase. There have been no "delivery issues" from this vendor. I told them about my HD experience and they assured me that it will not happen with them. I will not use Home Depot from now on (not even for a box of nails). read more

I was up in Elko NV for work! I needed to pick up some items for a job. I ran into Taylor in the electrical department and asked for some assistance in finding some items. The store was laid Out in a different manner then my local store. She was so friendly and willing to help. She even assisted me in finding items in other departments! I've had pretty good luck with home Depot, with these exceptions. 1 they have a terrible time when responding to information reguarding an order Over the phone. The information never seems to be accessible from the phone. They respond with a request to call you back when they get the information. My personal experience in the 10 + promises to call back I have only.been called.back once and that's when I ask them to pull my order all or whatever part of it they had and have it ready in an hour because I had waited for over 2 weeks. They still were unable to fill my order. They didn't have a good reason just " those will not be here anytime soon. A employee named Rebecca was very helpful. I appreciate her effort. If possible I would give less than 1 star for the service we received today. Experience 1. We were stopped by the pro loader and asked to check our receipt that he had just witnessed us purchase the 3 items we had. When I asked him why he would stand and watch the transaction and then ask to see the receipt. He responded that he was being watched on cameras. After my experience I hung around to observe. The next customer had a full cart of building material he was asked for his receipt and when checked and cleared sent on his way without any offer from the "pro loader" to help load their purchase. The "pro loader" stood in the doorway and let the fork lift operator help load their items. I was concerned enough that I went back and talked to the PIC, Dennis explained that the clerk was executing their "Pit Stop" program. Dennis did acknowledge that the clerk's primary job was to assist people loading. He apologized and said let me know if I can do anything else for you. Incident 2. We wanted to buy a tree but we were concerned that it would be wind damaged on the 70 mile trip home. The cashier told us that they could easily shrink wrap the tree down in the garden center. The clerk in the garden center told us that she didn't have any shrink wrap because it was locked up in GE vault. She told us to go into the store find someone and ask them to wrap it. I asked her call Dennis. Dennis came down and to his credit did offer to wrap the tree. However by this time it was to late. None of us are perfect and I completely understand that. However to many forget the simple easy parts of basic customer service. I feel sorry for them and us who have to endure it. Customers everywhere vote with their wallets and losers don't win in this game. read more

Very unhappy with the Service Desk. We wanted to purchase a Masterbuilt Smoker that was also sold on line at Walmart for $60.00 less. They would not match the Walmart price. We told the representative that in the last year we had spent over $20,000.00 at their store. She called the manager Dennis and he said no they would not match the price. I asked her to tell him to look up our pro home account, she never told him that, and he did not want to leave his office to talk to us. Wish we had a Lowes in town. Very unhappy customer. I mean really, how many people do they need to keep on payroll to stand around, not helping anyone, and guard that milk crate full of inventory they keep in stock? The only good experience I had there was after staring at tile for over an hour to try to see what I might piece together ( of course with no offer of help), I was leaving in disgust with some light bulbs and the checker must've been able to read the annoyance on my face. Went in today to purchase 4x4 Redwood Boards and some other items to build Christmas presents. The half stack they had open was junk (split/edges tore up/etc) and the staff would not open another bundle they had just waiting to be purchased because they had to sell the junk to someone "not me" before opening a new bundle. I have spent thousands of dollars at this store which does not equate to good customer. Loosing faith in customer service from Home Depot. this store has got to be the worst HD for customer service. Most of the employees there could care less. Three years ago I purchased an LG refridgerator with a 4 year service plan. My fridge went out, and I had to fight to get someone from the the service plan to return my calls. They kept promising a call the next day, but never called back. Finally, I emailed the CEO of HD and I got a call back. BEWARE, THE COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE ANYBODY TO REPAIR THEIR APPLIANCES IN THE AREA!
