WOW!!! I'm a big city kid and was in town for the week and wanted to look at some guns. I went in with little to no expectations, and just because it's a small town so I figured the draw would be minimal and product would be sparse. Welp, I'm an idiot and I couldn't have more impressed with this diamond in the rough. Good selection and over the top customer service. The salesman actually asked my name and shook my hand, as if he cared and wanted my hard earned money to be spent in his location. And it will be. I'll be back in a few weeks and I've got my eye on a couple of items. Thanks for reinstalling my faith in Elko, as I had some other less favorable experiences while I was out there. So hey, I stopped in to Gun World on my way up to Jarbidge for some cow elk hunting. I needed to pick up an extra box of 7MM rem mag and a scope cover. The staff was very helpful and patient. I got to my unit and eventually realized we had a misunderstanding and they gave me a box of win short mags. I had enough ammo anyway so it was all good. At the end of the hunt, Gun World was closed when I went to exchange. A month or so later, I went out with some buddies to the same unit. I visited the shop, and they were super-understanding about the mix-up and made the exchange to the right stuff. Really friendly about it, too. read more

I work with Gun World & Archery and I've seen and worked with most of the major independent hunting stores across the entire west coast. I can positively say there is not a better hunting store in the west coast that I am aware of. Staff is knowledgeable as I know the efforts they take to get trained on their manufacturers. You'll never get that at a chain. They price competitively. Everyone is friendly and willing to help. More like zero stars. My mom walked in there to ask about what she can get for self defense. The two employees (one younger, one middle-aged) she spoke to responded condescendingly while staring at her chest. She left as soon as she possibly could. I was waiting in the car. So, if you want to be taken seriously and treated with respect while looking for something to protect yourself, do not go here. Professionalism is not something they practice. read more

Amazing selection and if he doesn't have a handgun or rifle that I am looking for, he does what he can to find it for you. Husband buys all of his archery and shooting stuff from them as well.
