This Home Depot is awful. I went to buy keys and everything was awesome. Young lady was professional, quick and polite. I went to the register and the poor guy in front of me had two rolls of quarters and two dollar bills for a $22 purchase. The cashier did not know what to do about the rolls of quarters. She stood there on the phone, trying to explain it to people somewhere else in the store, and nobody seem to be able to help her. In the meantime, the poor couple trying to use the two rolls of quarters we're utterly humiliated, and the rest of the people in line are now very embarrassed. I went out to my car and got a 20 and I bought the rolls of quarters from the guy. But that's not the end. Then I tried to call Home Depot to complain. I was on hold for 20 minutes during which time two people came on and said that they would let me talk to someone I hung up and I called Home Depot's 1-800 number. They have four selections, none of which are for an unhappy customer... press this digit. Screw you, Home Depot. When you go under, I will not mourn the the loss. Do you have so many great employees and awesome customers and yet you treat everybody like shit because that's what the investment bankers tell you to do. For shame! read more

Came in to get backyard chairs, folding tables last minute for a party. This post is related to service, as I knew the products I was purchasing and they were readily available. 90% of the staff was standing around, no one asked if I needed any assistance as they were engaged in conversation with each other. This is the third time that I've been in and seen similar behaviors. At least when masks were required you could take off your mask inside and get some employee attention. Jess was the exception to this trend. She actively sought me out to ask if I needed assistance or was ready to check out and said she would be happy to them me at her register. Quick check out from there. Side note, I choose not use self check out, so hiring staff to stand at self check out is a weird business choice. Especially when they just chat with each other. *shrugs* read more

I was going to give this place a second chance. I really was. But when you call customer service and no one picks up, after running to the store and back and yet to discover that they have sold you an open box item (without any declaration that it is an open box item), that did not have the vital parts to it, tarred and dirty, at the REGULAR FULL $$$ price, while withholding the information that it is in fact open box; then they have asked for this seething review. I am sick of unethical business practices. I hope the manager reads this. I will now have to return this $425 item, drive up and down the road again, for the 3rd time, just to deal with this garbage. read more

I stopped in to Home Depot to pick up some bags of landscaping rocks I need to finish a project. Funny thing is that when I first envisioned my project I had a totally different idea floating around in my head. The great thing about having a Home Depot right in the neighborhood is that I was able to go and see, touch and re-evaluate my original plan. They have a nice variety in the garden area and it helped me come up with something more sensible, and actually more appealing. I may also expand my little project and put in a small area of Astro-turf. It is one thing to see samples on the Internet and another thing to actually see the colors of the grass and feel the weight and texture. Even though I would have to haul the bags of rocks from my car trunk to the yard myself when I got home, it was great to have one of the young guys ask if I wanted help. He loaded everything into my vehicle which was a blessing. I have been to this Home Depot many times- I have returned and exchanged stuff many times- all without any hassle at all which is one reason I keep coming back. read more

This afternoon we had gone in to buy some wood. We took our daughter who is autistic in with us because we did not have a sitter. We usually give her our phone and let her sit on the dolly. One of the girls up front near the lumber exit came and told us that for safety reasons to get her down and not let her on the dolly. Understandable but for her to just keep staring at us after, made me feel very uncomfortable. My daughter ended up throwing a tantrum so when we got to the cashier I decided to take her with me to the car and wait there for her father. She was screaming and crying and the Ignorant young woman who came to us continued to stare us down and talk about us to her coworker. The fact that I already have to deal with other people staring at us in the store while I deal with my daughter and then having to deal with an employee doing the same really sucks!!!!!!!! read more

What stood out was that I was buying sheet rock and was told that I wouldn't be given the 10% discount I usually get. That discount keeps me coming back. The cashier told me that certain items were not discounted for Veterans such as sheet rock and microwaves. As I am doing home renovations I guess I'll go to Lowe's where I am given that discount. read more

I think the worse place to shop is a business that says they support the military by offering military discount but only if you come in and shop. That is what I was told when I called today hoping to use the precaution that was put in place because of COVID-19, curbside pickup. Why offer if you really don't want to??!! So, as a disabled veteran who have trouble walking everyday, I have to go in and hand pick items I need if I want a discount while others get to drive up, pop trunk, then drive off without having to struggle or be exposed to sick individuals. Honestly it's not about the discount but really the principle and that is why I will, from now on, drive an additional 4 miles to use Lowe's curbside pickup because they honor and practice what they preach when saying they support military. If this is not the practice of Home Depot then the workers need to be retrained on how to treat customers. Asking for a discount that you offer shouldn't make me any less of a customer trying to spend money. read more

Very disappointed. Recently purchased $3000.00 worth of appliances and hardware. Delivery issues resulted in a damage claim attested to by the employees. We were told that it would take 3 weeks to receive our refund. It has been 2 and a half months. We have contacted them twice. We are now ready to purchase new laundry machines but apparantly need to shop elsewhere. I will follow up next week. read more

It is a pleasure to have to go to this Home Depot even when the reason is to continuously exchange A.C. units. They are helpful, polite and friendly. I wasn't sure I wanted to return an extension chord so I found myself in the exchange line. When it was my turn I decided to keep it, and to go ahead and purchase something. I was pleased when I was not requested to go to a regular check out line and was able to purchase it right there. There's a lot of places, with employees that love to stick to made up rules just so they can avoid helping you, this Home Depot is not one of those places. read more

Every home owner needs a hardware store within 10 minutes of the house. No matter how well you stock your tools and maintenance items you never have the right thing when you need it. The good news is that Home Depot carries everything; the bad news is it's mostly made in China and you are guessing at the quality. read more

There needs to be another Home Depot built on the west side. It appears the Mesa location is understaffed for the amount of people that shop here. We dread to order anything from here as it's impossible to get an employee to help you. We just moved here and the HD there made an effort to satisfy customers. We are so disappointed with the customer service at this location and because we just moved here was our first choice to order blinds. I have remodeled two houses in El Paso and frequent the Home depot . It is an understatement to say that there is very little customer service. Despite having lots of people milling about , the staff dont know the store, seem to consult their phones and seem very apathetic. Today I wanted to speak to someone about which plants might be drought resistant, 3 store staff who were in the garden department had zero knowledge. We came to Home Depot to get supplies to build a desk. We were so excited but had absolutely no idea what we were doing. We had a list of supplies we needed and really just need advice. We asked if we could get assistance with customer service and that was the start of the worse customer service experience we've ever had. She sent us to someone in lumber name Luis who had a terrible attitude and dragged his feet around. I guess we were expecting someone to be excited with us or at least a little more helpful. He pulled the most damaged piece of wood from the shelf and couldn't give us anymore insight into what was best. It seems like everyone else who helped us after that just had a terrible attitude. I thought working at Home Depot meant helping people with projects. "More saving. More doing." Lol. read more

I don't usually expect much from Home Depot, but this store falls way under those low expectations. I waited at the online services desk for someone to assist me with a pickup order. No one showed up, so I asked a "worker' at the returns desk if someone could be called to provide assistance. I was told, "the person behind the online services desk is supposed to help you.' I told her that I had been waiting, and there was no "person behind the online services desk." She ignored me, and made no attempt to page someone. I flagged down another worker who made two futile attempts to page someone to the online services desk. To make matters worse, when I finally had my order brought to the desk (after 15 minutes of waiting), the worker from the warehouse dropped the extremely bulky and heavy item at my feet. I asked him if someone could help me load the item onto a cart. He said, "Sure" and took off, never to return. Overall, one of the worst experiences one could have at a store. read more

Without a doubt the WORST Home Depot in the entire country! I went to the garden center with my daughter to purchase some plants- she moved here last week. The sales people in the garden dept were slovenly and lazy- we had to constantly approach a young lady who worked there to ask her questions. Her attitude to us was " don't bother me." The plants were not healthy looking, in dire need of watering and many appeared to be root bound and overgrown in the qt containers. The merchandise was extremely overpriced for the condition and quality of the plants. When the employee was asked about a markdown, she initially said no, then said last week she marked some down 5O%, then bowed up when I confronted her with her consistencies. She told Me she was not the dept manager and couldn't do mark downs. As I walked off to seek someone in management she called me a bitch. Do not go here unless you want to buy overpriced more then half dead plants from rude employees. read more

This damn place lead to -27,000 stars. They have failed repeatedly over and over. Cabinet order placed, was told that they were putting us in the system to get called by installers. We were told that they have several people and a system that works much like Angies list and we would be called with options for installers. We placed the order for the amount of cabinets needed for an installer to come out.... no one called ... no one came. We were also called a week early about our cabinets arrival (great!) however, we don't live in the area and had to rush into town from out of state because they scheduled us for delivery.... we were called and told for delivery 8AM-10AM .... no show.... we called to follow up and were told they would deliver curbside some time between 12pm and 10pm. that's not what we were told not what we were paying for, ended up having to pay our contractor (that we hired because no one called from Home Depot Installers) to go pick up our cabinets in his truck ... the mess gets bigger and better! we ordered the cabinets all same size, one came in short, we made due, we ordered the range hood and cabinet and all corresponding parts, well none of that was ordered, like the exhaust hose connecting out of the house, well we had to go back to home depot for that and we encountered another problem. we were sent to the plumbing dept, where we asked the guy specifically for the size of the HOSE he walks us past the appliances and shows us a hood. I said: I need the HOSE 7" flexible, we have that item already, he proceeds to say that they don't sell it.......... I lost it.... all the back and forth I had done with the cabinets that day, plus all week we had been in and out of the store gathering all the needed things needed to complete a kitchen remodel, like tile, grout, the spacers, paint, brushes, everything where they had repeatedly made mistakes, charging way too much, charging incorrect items, ..... and this guy says they don't sell it, I threw my hands up in the air and said I had had it..... Can't believe it.... walked to the aisle where we originated and started going through empty boxes until I came across one box on one of the top shelves with the exact 7" hose I needed and I went to pay, my husband then gets cut... and we end up at customer service getting a bandaid.... and the guy shows up, screaming assuming we were complaining about him.... the only question at the point besides the bandaid was about the installers ... he shows up yelling over us, in front of an assistant manager, that could have actually gotten physical if he had gotten closer, everyone was there in silence, yes I called him INCOMPETENT.... was he lazy, probably.... but we spent over 7,000.00 in this store in a week, the very least we could get was the damn hose without the run around and tour of items we already had. I am originally from El Paso, living in CA, and seriously I am used to crap service in California ... but Good God... this is the worst......... read more

About a month ago I went in to get another gallon of paint to match the same paint I purchased before I don't know what this guy did but it screwed up the walls all through my home as I was touching up all old nail holes my God it was a mess the color was so off I went back took pictures with me if the mess and of course he wasn't there the next man sold me another container well it was better but still a mess here I went again and this young lady Erica through herself into fixing the mess it took more then a couple of hours and of course it had to of got busy that morning so I'm standing there all this time and II'm not young well TA DA!!!!!!she did it I am so grateful I didn't end up having to paint the entire place and I made sure to call the next morning to tell the manager how she saved the day Thank You Erica! It usually goes good there I guess it was just one of those things that happened But I did end up paying for paint I ended up throwing away that I was not happy about! read more

Filthy dusty rundown place, feels like a flea market but with retail pricing. Spent a large part of my day selecting everything that I needed. When it came time to check out, the lady standing at the full-service checkout told me that I had to go to the self-service lane. I had a large cart piled high with very heavy product that I would not be able to manage in their tiny little self-checkout lanes. When I asked this woman at the full-service checkout why she would not help me, I was told me she closed because the customer she was with had just opted to sign up for a credit card. Nice - apparently issuing credit cards is more profitable than selling $600 in product. When I asked for Dan Maldonado the manager, he walked by on another errand and told me to wait. I didn't. I went to Loews and got exactly the same stuff; the best part was Loews was super clean and with courteous staff. read more
