Lousy customer service - "not my job attitude by everyone I spoke to today. I had am item delivered from the store. The bag left on my porch had another name and order number on it. I spent 45 minutes on hold, only to be disconnected by the local store. I called the 1-800 customer service number, They simply transferred me back to the Rojas Store. NO ONE picked up the call. Amongst the many great aspects of this fine home improvements store are the associate. Regularly, the employees are extremely happy to help me purchase several items, regardless if I cycle or motor. The penultimate step are the cashiers, who always recognize my Veterans status (officially noted on my driver's license), which gives me that always needed discount. The final step are the parking lot attendants, who always help me with returning my cart (an "aged out" individual like me needs it to help me keep my balance) or loading large purchases into my (motor) vehicle. I ordered a washer and dryer from Home Depot for delivery and installation. I paid $60 for the special gas connection kit. The installation contractor shows up, and says there's no valve and that they cannot install it. He goes on to say that this sort of thing happens multiple times per day, everyday, and that Home Depot just doesn't seem to care that they're sending them out without the correct parts. I called a local plumber, described the issue, and without prompting, said, "Yeah, that sounds like Home Depot." Home Depot Corporate, please fix your shit. read more

I don't go to The Home Depot that often unless I really really need something for the home. We needed a new toilet some months back so we went and got one. It wasn't at this location, though. Can you believe I helped my partner install it?? Lol. It isn't that hard to do...thanks to YouTube videos. We've also gone to look at tile and floor samples. We're trying to fix the house but it's taking longer than planned, unfortunately. I used to work at The Home Depot back in college. Lol. I worked in the garden center. It was a pretty fun job btw. Anyway... I came to this specific Home Depot because my son needed some items for a school project. I didn't want to go inside the store on a busy Saturday afternoon so I decided to try placing my order online and doing curbside pickup. Once I ordered it online, the site said my order would be ready in two hours. The order was actually ready in one hour which was cool! We had to wait around 15 or 20 minutes for the order. I kind of didn't like that but I'm sure they were pretty busy. The gentleman who was helping out was nice. I really wanted to get down and look at their plants but I decided not to. If you want to avoid weekend crowds, I would recommend their online ordering/curbside pickup service. Thank you for making things in life a little bit easier, Home Depot. I went in to garden department to buy roses for my garden. I was surprised that most of the plants are almost dead or dying, in full sun and no water. I found one that was not great but not much of a choice and I went to pay for it and was shocked that they still charged 29.99 for a plant that is almost dead. they need to fire the manager in charge of the store if he can't see how bad that department is. the plants almost dead, no water, almost stacked on each other branches tangled with other plants. the store needs to take care of this problem either stop selling flowers or put more shade and misting system to keep plants watered and not over order flowers where they stack them on top of others. read more

Went in wanting the easiest thing ever, a piece of fiber board. We headed towards the lumber/wood aisles and we looked around for what we needed. We found what we needed and so we began our quest to hunt an employee down so they could cut it to the size we wanted. We looked and looked and looked some more. There were other customers looking for assistance as well. Nada. Where did all the employees go? About 10 minutes later we decide to finally walk over to the next department and finally found an employee! The employee was getting mauled (not really) by customers who needed help, since it seemed he was the only one working the sales floor. We wait our turn and finally get to ask him for assistance. He then tells us he can't help us since he is not allowed to cut our fiberboard. Ugh. He tells us to go back and look for that departments associate.. At this point we were done with just standing there not getting anywhere or any help. We decided to leave all the items we were going to purchase and head somewhere else.. A business where there are more then enough employees willing to help and somewhere where they do value our business... :) read more

Im a little disturbed by what I experienced while trying to sanitize and keep my family safe due to we just had a death due to covid in my family. I shop at home depot (nationwide) almost weekly and this is the first unsatisfactory post ever for the establishment but it must be done. In my opinion this is a complete dereliction of safety for the mass public. Upon getting to the Home Depot in El Paso Texas (Rojas store) where COVID-19 infection has soared through the roof along with deaths occurring in respect to the virus, I wanted to sanitize my cart and sanitize my hands to ensure that I'm not spreading any virus, but I could not due to this station not being attended to properly. As you can see in my picture, total disregard in the respects of keeping their customers safe to a certain degree by at least providing the minimal essentials to wash and clean and sanitize their cart and person. There should be an ever constant supply even when changing the sanitation station. With the volume of people that the Home Depot generates you would think that they would be on top of the minimal disinfectant standards set forth by the CDC. This is unacceptable. There should be a cart attendant at the very least... wheres the manager? Wheres the care and value for life? Where did moral value go? Everyone one take note!!!! People are dying. Worst Home Depot in El Paso. Ordered online for a pickup and the item they had was in stock and took them a day just for them to tell me that they are going to refund me the money. I even went to the store the day prior to get the time myself and yet they still couldn't find it the item. One of the Workers in customer service was bad like she didn't even want to acknowledge me. I'd go some where else than to work with this Home Depot. Everywhere else I went was way better from in store help to ordering online and picking up. Even the other stores would call me back and tell me they don't have such item anymore. GO TO ANOTHER HOME DEPOT or order online and you just might get your item faster. read more

It can be difficult to go to a home improvement store and get good service when you are a short woman like myself. I have encountered condescension or am just ignored. There is nothing worse than being talked down to when trying to buy a faucet. After getting no/rude service at Lowe's when trying to buy a "real" Christmas tree, I decided to venture a little further and visit The Home Depot at Rojas to try to get my tree. As soon as I entered the tree tent I was greeted by Chris, the employee on duty. (This was a huge difference from Lowe's where there was literally no one in the section and when I did try to get help they were rude and dismissive.) The trees were extra fresh in comparison to other places I'd been. It was easy to find the reasonably priced tree stands and the checkout cashiers were also friendly. When it was time to load up the tree, Chris helped me tie the thing to my vehicle and made sure it was secure. I appreciated the service from everyone I encountered at the store. This is the best home improvement store I've visited in El Paso since purchasing my home. It is even the best Home Depot! It really brought the day around for me to encounter good service and I will be visiting this home improvement store from now on even though it is a little further from my home. read more

STOP. DO NOT SHOP HERE! First, I can't even explain in words the anger, frustration, and furious anger I felt when I went in there to exchange an evaporative cooler motor. I brought in the unopened box with the receipt. The customer service lady opened the box in front of me and then proceeded to accuse me of trying to exchange a used motor by placing the motor in the box and then re-taping the box. After some choice words, she relented and I got my money back. As far as the store, nobody knows where anything is or how stuff works. No one had helpful ideas or useful assistance. And the lines to check out were very long. Even the self check out had a long line. This place is terrible. Being a weekend builder and working on home projects should be fun. Therefore, I urge you to go to the other Home Depot on Mesa Westside. read more

This location has a great selection to choose from, the only downfall is it's always packed! Some of the customers have a hard time understanding that if an employee is already helping someone, they are not free to help YOU! This is one of more unfriendly locations it is almost impossible to get anyone to help you with questions & when you manage to speak with an associate they always seem in a hurry & half answer your questions. I needed to rent a tool and came here. My son and I got in line and waited a couple minutes because the 2 employees were already with customers. As soon as one of them was done, which was Rob, he came right around the counter and greeted us and asked how he could help us. I told him what I needed and he brought me over to where the tool was located to verify it was the correct tool. Check out was pretty fast and when we were done he asked me if I needed a basket because the tool was a bit heavy. I said yes and he walked around for a minute looking for one, even going out of his way to go outside to find one. He brought a basket back in and loaded the tool for me and we were good to go. He was very friendly and courteous, smiled and made eye contact. When we returned the tool he was exactly the same. It's very rare to find an employee like him anywhere! He was awesome! read more

Went in on 03/05/2016 to begin the process of remodeling our kitchen and installing new flooring throughout the entire house. FIRST customer service is non existent here. I am a former employee of store 4747 in Washington state and just moved back home to Northeast El Paso. Although Lowes is closest to us, I insisted that Home Depot was the store to go to but when we arrived here, the layout was different and I didn't have the app downloaded so we approached a young lady fixing the welcome mats in flooring and asked her where the laminate flooring was she responded "Aisle 6" and i asked where that might be, she literally pointed to her right without eye contact instead of showing us. Thank God I have worked for Home Depot and was able to give all the info to my mother for her house and preferences. We could barely reach the floor samples though and although the older gentleman we saw sitting at the service desk earlier walked past us, he didn't offer us help at all. Your kitchen design section had 3 different ladies and only one helped. After an hour from 1730-1830 and still no help or "FIRST" customer service, your store missed out on thousands of dollars amd my mother suggested we just go elsewhere. The entire time we were in flooring and kitchen, the same girl that pointed, was too busy talking to her friend about some guy being divorced and every one else completely ignored us. As someone who worked in Flooring, I was embarrassed and begged my mother we try again tomorrow at another location. This store needs a refresher course on Customer Service. The other employees can thank these associates when success sharing comes around. I hope tomorrow and another Home Depot show my mother why I am so proud to have worked at store 4747 and 6551.
