Funny enough, after a few years this still the worst Home Depot! The cashier gave me a huge attitude and walk away with our helping me! She got mad because I said if you can't make a decision or have Trouble, you can call the manager to help with the price discrepancy ! She walks away and said that "I was going to change it but you want the manager!, fine! ( with attitude) She walks away and ignored me, not even calling the manager. I have to demand her give me the manager. I am told that this is the training provided that all cashier gets when is regarding a price challenge of $.30, have the customer to walked back and not offering the actual advertised price. She made me like a thief or liar, just can't believe that Home Depot doesn't value us as customer. It does made me rethink that we can go somewhere else what has price more accurate to avoid future dispute. Not just the store manager needs to aware of this but it's district manager, this is a small town that many people wouldn't complaint and stay quiet but I wouldn't! I want to make sure your management team understands this frustration! I could have just left and paid the $.30 cents but I just think this is unfair and it's a good try to see if the store has good customer services.. i guess not.... read more

Their third party installation service told me they would be to my house in 10 minutes at 1:05 pm. At 1:38pm they asked of they could have another ten minutes. No, problem as I have worked in customer service and understand that things easily go wrong. Two hours later they showed up. One employee asked where the metal hoses were for my pedistal washer, I explained he never left nor mentioned those (mind you, he said he the metal peices to the hoses for the big washer were corroded and he would have to re-schedule the installation. Still, not a problem so I got it fixed). When they areived I asked that when they need to go in/out of my back gate to please make sure it was closed because of my dogs got out they would run away. I had to remind them three more time because the gate was wide open. The fourth time I found the gate open I told them that this time one of them could shut it. One of them looked right at me and locked the gate while saying he did not know how to do it. That being said, the sales and management team were awesome. If you buy from Home Depot ask for Hilda. It's a Home Depot conveniently located off the freeway. It's my go to place for dyi stuff. Always end up coming here for something to fix at the house. I typically check online for stuff I need before I go there because they will tell you if it is in stock and what aisle and bay they are located in. They only have self checkout at the main checkout exit...or at least when I was there. It is hit or miss when it comes to the staff attending to the self checkout. First time we were there, they seemed a bit reluctant to adjust the price to the sign we saw posted. Another time I went, they checked and will not adjust to a Walmart price I saw online, but they were happy to price adjust for the same item I saw in Lowe's online. read more

Home Depot is a good home improvement store. They are the basic one that people think of when looking for anything related to home improvement. They have everything for building a house or repairs from ladders, tools and safety equipment, concrete, drywall, electrical, lumber, nails, insulation, roofing, windows, and flooring. We needed carpeting for an RV and looked at all the home improvement stores but found what we wanted at Home Depot. It had a good color and texture with a pattern. It was $4.99 per square foot but was said to be 'life proof'. I have to say that where the slides go in and out, there was a horrible brown mark (hubs said maybe where the metal moved when the storage workers put it away) but it cleaned up very nicely-no mark left- with just a carpet cleaner. Whew! While Home Depot isn't maybe the most fancy of the home improvement stores, it is the no-nonsense, find what you need to do the job at a decent price. And my husband likes going here better-maybe it feels more friendly. I definitely recommend them and will be back. read more

Here is my advice if you are patronizing Home Depot in El Centro: You better know what you are doing and where to find the things you need because, brother, you are going to be flying blind. I made 4 trips to buy 4 separate parts for toilet tank repair and 4 times I asked for assistance and 4 times I was given a vague wave on where to find the parts. Never mind the fact that once I found the parts, there was none of their "pros"that could give me advice. I literally know almost nothing regarding home repair and I would make a better employee because I would put forth the effort. I don't know why I keep coming back here after several unsatisfied occasions. But here's one that finally threw me over the edge. Yesterday I came in to purchase a BBQ grill. I already knew which one I wanted from research online. I waited for approximately 30 min for someone to assist me in that area but no one ever came. I finally went to the nearest person at the entrance greeting everyone whom was actually extremely friendly and said they'll send someone. He walked with me to look at the BBQs and smokers. Still no one to be found until 20 minutes after. The grill I purchased was in stock but on the top of the shelves somewhere and they told me it would take about 30 minutes to bring it down. I said that I had to go, I'lI purchase it now and come back tomorrow to pick it up once it's on the ground. Well here I am today writing this inside Home Depot still waiting for the grill to be brought down from the shelves. The greeter at the entrance recognized me as I was sitting under a demo hut and said "still", as if he knew his employees need to pick up their slack. He came up to me and said, I'll bring your grill. And so he did, as if he used magical powers to bring it down instantly. This gentleman by the name of Bill, also walked with me to my truck. Most employees that I've encountered here (aside from "Wild Bill") are not the friendliest and have no sense of urgency. The second added star is for Bill's great customer service. read more

By far the worst store, and I mean ANY store, that I have ever been to. Zero customer service, rude employees that chit chat with each other when customers need help, and the managers (except Robert) don't care at all. For example, I went to buy a pallet of thin set and didn't leave the store for almost an hour and a half because the employee who I asked for help from (who happens to be a manager) left to get the forklift. After 20 minutes I went looking for her and found her sitting in the cabinet department laughing with another employee. She saw me and asked if I needed help... she then said she was waiting for an employee who could drive the forklift and he just went to lunch. I waited another 25 minutes for him to come back followed by another 30 minutes for then to actually get the Oakley loaded onto the forklift and into my truck. This is only one example but we have issues every time we go here. Living in an area where resources are somewhat limited, you would think the service would be better but no one cares and they know that customers have to deal with it if they don't want to drive 1-2 hours to go to another Home Depot. If you can get your materials at Lowes or Imperial Stores I would highly recommend it. read more

You know we have always tried to support our local businesses but it never fails especially with these guys , management avoids every situation you bring to them. I've recently spent over $5k on appliances and one appliance doesn't work probably and I called within 48 hrs and we were told they would call us back with a date for the pick of the dryer and drop off of a new one. I called the manufacture and they told us to call Home Depot because they are still liable that Home Depot has to replace it not the manufacture , So we called them and we were told that they would give us a call with a date for the delivery date. Well it's been 2 weeks so I call Home Depot and was told by Juan that we had to speak with the manufacturer . So I call them again and the rep. Ask me what the problem is I explain and again she informs me that Home Depot has to replace the dryer. I call again and speak with Juan - manager who once again explain the issue and he basically told me that I have to call Maytag and they have to decide if it's broken or not. His attitude is very dismissive and is appalling he could care less, instead of trying to help he makes sure to irritate the crap out of you. How do you purchase a brand new product it isn't working the way it should and the store tells you well you gotta have it fixed. How is this store being ran, I called to speak with the manager and the girl that answered didn't even know the store managers last name. So yeah if your own staff don't even know who you are, you might want to re-evaluate your business. People are who come into your business and purchase product the least you could do is act like you care and honestly try and resolve the issue, I'm so so sure that you would be ok buying something and getting it repaired before it even worked, yeah i doubt that. Life is stressful enough without having to deal with unprofessional and rude ppl HOME DEPOT CORPORATE you need to evaluate who is actual management quality. read more

Second time I use curbside pick-up last up to 10 minutes to bring out your items, i had to call after 10 minutes and took 5 more minutes to bring out items. I have 2 disabled children that unfortunately i can't go inside to get my items, i thought it was convenient to use this service but it hasn't changed.. please change this not everyone has the ability to go in to get items please be understanding and fast with your service! This store is NOT taking COVID seriously. Yes, masks are required. Even though they state they have "touchless payment," only self check out was available which requires you to use a pricing gun which WAS NOT being disinfected between customers and NO wipes were available for either disinfecting the checkout price guns or the shopping carts. The antiseptic dispensers were completely empty and even though there were three people working in the self check out area NONE of them were disinfecting or enforcing distancing requirements. Thank the good lord for a retired veteran named Bill. This past Saturday night I had to finish constructing temporary walls for an traveling art exhibit, which was arriving on Monday for install. I showed up at a quarter to 9, just before close, wet behind the ears, a deer in the headlights, with a long list and unsure of what to do and where to find what I needed. Bill was observant and asked me if I needed help. Once I told him what I was looking for, he proceeded to get as many staff members as he could to help me find what I needed. We both managed to get to the checkout with minutes to spare and he offered me his 10% military discount. Wait, it doesn't end there! He then helped me load and tie down the lumber (which was sticking 5 feet out of the back of the truck) and taught me correct knots to secure it, so I would know next time. Bill went above and beyond to help me. If it wasn't for him, I would not have been able to finish the walls that night and paint them on Sunday. Then when you do need a employee you can't find one, most of the time they talk (Spanish) amongst themselves. I guess home depot is doing such a business that they are turning away a $10,000 job. I paid $50 for somebody to come out and measure my house for new ceramic floor tiling and was told that somebody would call with a quote. I waited 4 days for a call that never came. I called them twice and was assured someone would be contacting me but nobody ever did. So I drove in (50 mile round-trip) . I spoke to one of the associates who said he wasn't real familiar anymore with the quote screen but he swore up and down that somebody would call me because all the information was in the computer. Three days later and here I am. Nobody's called and I can't get through to flooring at Home Depot in El Centro because the phone just keeps ringing, nobody answers and then it will disconnect. The lady lucy at returns never greeted me and she had very poor glass being very rude when I ask her for help. I can honestly say that I have had the worst experience at this store and the only reseaon for 1 star is they don't have negative stars. After purchasing a door handle and needing it re-keyed, the only person to do it was out to lunch. He was not able to do it and was told I would be called and given an answer. I was called yet I could not answer and didn't receive any other call. The customer service is abysmal and some employees are crass and unprofessional. Do not order new appliances from Home Depot. I ordered a new washing machine and dryer from home depot and it was a horrible experience. The company they use for appliance deliveries to your home is called CEVA Logistics. They did not have all of the accessories I ordered with my new washing machine and dryer when they delivered them to my house. I went back to the Home Depot store and they couldn't solve the problem because it was CEVA Logistics fault. The parts were out of stock so I had to make a second appointment a week later. They could not give me a time for my new appointment only the day. I have work and I don't have time to wait for them to come. On the day of the new appointment they called me to say they still did not have them in stock so they canceled my appointment after I waited for them for four hours. Why are they not checking their stock before making appointments? So I made a third appointment and they showed up and they had some of the accessories but not all of them. The delivery people were very rude and they threatened to take away parts from my order if I did not sign their delivery form even though parts from my order were still missing. I had to make 4 appointments to finally receive all of the parts that I ordered for my new washer and dryer. I will never order an appliance from Home Depot every again. read more
