Worst customer service and plant section. We have taken our business to the Gulfport store due to a lack of work ethic in these employees. Make up stories to cover their lack of effort. Then blame the customer for getting upset. This store is giving the chain a bad reputation and someone should audit and evaluate their current employees. This is for Home Depot Biloxi store. Let me start by saying I am a handicap person, not wheel chair handicap, but severe COPD and arthritis in my hips. Walking is difficult. I want some plants. The garden center was to open at 8 am and it's now 11 am. the garden center door is not open. I move my car to the first main door and walk to the garden center. I pick my plants and go to check out at the one register near the door I came in. I have checked out there many times before. Apparently some ditsy ding dong manger decided they didn't like that because the woman at the check out immediately says "I can't check you out here" like she's intentionally making a point. So I have to walk to the other end of the store now to use the self check out while two women watching the registers stood by and chatted. Now I have to walk all the way back to my car from the far end of the building. Wise up Home Depot, Lowe's is closer to me and their garden center is always open early in the day with two cashiers waiting to personally check you out. read more

Never in my life have I been disrespected the way I was tonight. I came to simple buy a tool on June 11th, around 6pm. I asked for assistance after waiting to find someone. I walk back to the front to get the cashier to have someone assist me. Went back to the tool aisle and still no one came. The tool I wanted was locked up behind a cage, after waiting I realized there was one right on the shelf and Orange ladder unaccompanied, with no "do not use" or "employees only sign" on it, not properly chained off to prevent kids from climbing it. So obviously Home Depot doesn't care and I used it to get the tool. As I'm coming down one of the employees is screaming at me, acting as if I'm trying to steal it, I hollered back at him that I was waiting, then he goes up and bows up on me as if he is trying to physically stop me from going to the cashier, this all happened in a aisle full of customers. He didn't asked if I need assistance just goes on as if I broke the law and that he can have me kicked out and banned from Home Depot from getting a tool. I tried to plead my case and explain that I waited and just simply used a ladder. Then he starts threatening me and making racial remarks, saying get my "Ricky Iglesias" ass out of here, which I rightfully told him to fuck off, literally as I'm walking away to deescalates the situation he is still shouting from the aisle "that's why you are walking off" still instigating the situation. I literally just came for one tool, if I was in the wrong for using a ladder that I used for a tool that I was purchasing, and had no signage to not use it, then fine. All he has to do was let me know for future references these are for employees and ask me if I didn't need any other assistance. I will be back in the morning for a video of the altercation, I didn't get this man's name, but he was a tall African American man working the tool aisle in front of the self check at at 6pm. This was not only verbal assault, but physical assault for physically using his body to try and deter me for purchasing a product and racial discrimination for the racial insults he made. read more

This particular Home Depot store is the smaller version, the store in located in Gulfport is the bigger one. However this one is about 3 miles from my house and is the one that I visit frequently (sometimes 3 times in a day, ugh) They will special order anything not in the store. The one major thing that sets this store from its big brother store is that it has rental equipment. Anything from chainsaws to pressure washers to tractors, they got it. Call ahead to make sure what you want is in stock they will hold it for you. read more

One of the worst decisions I've ever made was choosing this store to handle my new home purchase renovations. They have the most terrible policies regarding deliveries, returns, and customer service. Really wish there was an option to give 0 stars. Each department seems to have no idea how to communicate between the other. STAY AWAY FROM PURCHASING APPLIANCES FROM THIS STORE and Home Depot in general. We ordered a washer and dryer set, paid for warranties and protection services, got them to deliver and install to be sure that nothing could go wrong--the guys delivered broken appliances and hauled off our old better functioning set. Since we weren't able to tell they were broken until after install people left, (and never imagined this would happen) we had to call the store. These people use 3rd parties for everything and have zero communication capabilities between store, manufacturer, and delivery services. Home Depot is simply a circus of a business, but they are too big at this point to care. Spend your money at a locally owned and operated family run store where real people have real power to help you. Handing money over at Home Depot is extremely easy and, at that moment, they are professional. After they have the money, the only people you'll be dealing with is call center drones. We purchased our appliances on July 1st and had to wait until July 23 to have a "service technician" come out just to CONFIRM that it's broken. Amazingly, according to his expertise, it is. Now they say, hopefully, we will receive new appliances on September 1st. We have 3 children and have now spent hundreds of dollars at the local laundromat despite the fact that I have "brand new" Home Depot appliances sitting at my house. They also say that it is IMPOSSIBLE to return the items and start over. Every avenue leads to a new version of no with this company. STAY AWAY and contribute to them losing money so that maybe they will be forced to change. read more

i give my local home depot a 6 star review if i could, my main gripe is with calling customer service about online orders. dealing with out of the country people that don't speak the english well enough to understand. and hang up on you over and over again. then lie about my order. yes i have the proof. so i requested to talk to a person in the US. i was told elsewhere that you can do that with most tele service places. need to do that more. then i finally got good service. took a few minutes to prove my problem, but then everything fell into place. saved me $100 over the original lier. so US customer service is really good, but foreign service that they use is a thief. read more

Honest people is so hard to find these days but, I found one in this store just this week. This hard working woman deserves a raise and needs to have a bonus from the management. Her name is Sharon Arnold who happens to be working in the area where I used to pay for the stuffs that I bought. I scan everything, push for a cash back and left. While at the grocery store, I then realized that I forgot to get my cash. It's been 20 minutes had passed. While I return to the store and show my receipt, Sharon said she got it and open the safe and handed me the cash. What an honest woman. Home Depot should be proud to have her. read more

I ordered a Gourmet 30'in barbecue grill that was delivered to the store June 25th. I called twice & talked to two different people that said they would get it assembled and would call me back. I ended up calling two days later, only for them to tell me that the grill screws didn't work & they had to return it to get another one. I wanted to cancel the grill but just yesterday I called & told them that I would keep the grill & a man said that he would get someone to assemble it & call me. I've been waiting once again & no-one has called me about my grill. The customer service is horrible and I can't get anyone to put my grill together & I ordered it weeks ago. I'm still to this day waiting on my grill. I will not ever order anything from Home Depot ever again. read more

Customers seem to be allowed to park in loading area and go in and shop. Today is the second time I tried to pull up to get loaded and was NOT able to due to customers that are shopping filling up the loading area. Appearantly management is okay with this. The loading guys said they aren't allowed to tell customers they cant park there, there are signs that say loading only. How can you allow this to happen on a regular basis. Or is it fine to do this, really. Rude customers or management without a spine or both. read more

So many people are quick to voice their opinion when they receive poor service but seldom when they receive good service. I went to Home Depot today and was greeted at the front door and asked if I needed assistance, with a smile of course. Every isle I went down I was greeted by another smile and another rep asking if I needed anything. The store was clean and the staff are some of the best I've ever encountered at this type of store. Mike P, the assistant mgr was extremely gracious when I complimented his staff and you could tell his 20 years of military experience has prepared him to properly manage a staff of employees and promote good customer service.
