Decor is very inviting and it looks very upscale. We dined here last evening, again while out on the motorcycle. The place was not busy at all. Maybe 3 tables in the whole place. Our server was pleasant. We chatted with her when she first arrived, and somehow we got on the subject of previous jobs, and she mentioned that she had worked at several places in the area. They had just begun a Taco Tuesday special which sounded very intriguing. They had a carne asada taco, a cod fish taco and an ahi tuna taco to choose from. You get 3 in a meal. I love ahi tuna so I ordered 2 of those and a carne asada one. Three of us got the tacos and one of us got the fish and chips. The food took WAY longer to come out than it should have. It was probably at least 30 minutes or longer. I was a little annoyed by that but I overlooked it. Took the first bite of the carne asada taco and realized immediately this was not real carne asada, it was basically a steak taco. Not much flavor at all. I decided to dig into the ahi tuna taco and it was very mediocre. I love ahi tuna but to have the best flavor, it needs to be seared and rare. This was medium well so the fish was very pale. It changes the flavor significantly when it is cooked too much. I was not impressed at all. When the server came out with the food, we asked for malt vinegar for the person who had the fish and chips. She never brought it, nor did she check on us ONE TIME throughout the meal. It took her a long time to come over to see if we needed anything else. A couple of desserts were ordered. We were told that everything was made in house but I was skeptical. It took a while for the server to come back to bring us our bills. In the meantime, there was a patron at the bar who began arguing with her, I believe due to the length of time it was taking for the food to come out. She and another employee were arguing right back with him which I thought was very unprofessional to do while other diners were there and witnessing it. We were standing up by this time because we were anxious to get on the road and we had been there for an HOUR and 45 MINUTES - way too long for a party of 4 who had simple meals and ONE beer. The server came back with our credit card slips and we looked at the bills and realized that she had mixed up the cards when running the bills through, so we paid for our friends' meals and vice versa. Another really annoying and unnecessary thing to have happened. We needed to get on the road and were tired of being there so we walked out, very frustrated. As we were heading toward the door, the server spoke to us and someone from our party told her that she mixed up our cards. She did not seem overly apologetic for that, just a casual, oh I'm sorry. I think she actually asked, "are you sure"? Yes, we are sure. We did not stick around for her to re-run our cards. The whole evening was so annoying and it was one thing after another. Just a real lack of attentiveness all around. We will not be back. I now suspect this is why she has worked at so many places. Server training is badly needed here, with a focus on attentiveness and professionalism. This place LOOKS nice, but nothing is executed well. Not the service, not the food. Yet another restaurant has been removed from our list....

This is a very nicely renovated mansion turned into a woman's club. Like a late 1800's gentleman's club, only for women. There is a locker room/workout room/nursing area, but I did not see them because I am not a woman. They have lectures and groups within the club. They have a full kitchen, and the usual food on offer seemed like you would expect at a starbucks or better. They have drinks, coffee, and wine. The wine was higher end. And they use an ordering app so members at different rooms of the club can order easily. Lots of rooms. Dining and lecture rooms, lounge and club type rooms, conference rooms. A large event room. All really nice. There are smaller serving bars on the second and third floors. Depending on age, annual membership is 600 or 1200 dollars. It looked great. Maybe it could have used more restrooms, but that is sort of reaching for something negative to say.

The rustic barn setting was absolutely beautiful, and the property offered a lovely outdoor wedding area with a fairly new ceremony space and a beautiful arch at the front. It created a wonderful setting for the wedding ceremony. Everyone I interacted with was kind, welcoming, and helpful. We also completed the necessary paperwork in the bridal suite, which was very nice and comfortably air-conditioned--especially appreciated on a summer wedding day! While I cannot speak to the venue's pricing or booking process since I was there as the officiant, I can speak to my experience at the venue. Based on that experience, I would definitely recommend this location to couples looking for a beautiful rustic setting with a friendly and accommodating staff. If you are planning your wedding and need an ordained minister, I would be happy to help. You can learn more about my services at www.TLMCreativeServices.com.
