They stole my security deposit. No one answers the phone or email. I've tried several times of the day for multiple days with no luck.

I had not lived in an apartment since the 1980's, and it's much different than it used to be. Our manager, Terri, was very kind and showed me an available apartment that fit exactly what I was looking for. She was very considerate of my particular needs for my new home. Her assistant, Natalie, has been an invaluable help to me in navigating the online payment process, which can be a bit daunting for those who are a bit older. I had difficulty with the washer as it's a super nice front loading machine, much better that the one I used to have. The maintenance supervisor has been super great about helping me to learn how to use it, twice now, and has only made kind comments. I'm not certain I would have the patience that he has! Aside from the office staff being wonderful, if you like beer, they have a keg in the clubhouse! The property is well maintained and feels very safe. My neighbors are awesome and have two sweet dogs that are becoming friends with my two dogs. The property has a great dog play area which makes living in an apartment with pets so much easier. If you're looking for a nice apartment in a great community, check out Bellevue Crossing....and bring your pets!

There are grocery stores, restaurants & retail stores within walking distance. A big shoutout to the front office (Terri & Natalie) for being so responsive to our calls & emails. An even bigger shoutout to maintenance for being so quick to fix anything we need in our apartment unit. Five stars from our family.

From the very first day I began living in an unbelievably beautiful 2 bedroom apartment there, I knew this was were I needed to be, my sanctuary, my space, my solace. Jewels is the manager here and she just couldn't have been better. She can be very busy, taking care of so many, but will always acknowledge you and will make time to listen and ensure whatever your need, regarding this apartment community, will be followed through. I have since purchased a property and when I needed to move out of my Reserves apartment it was sad as I was finding my happiness and calm energy once again in such a beautiful environment. This was my place and it honestly provided everything I needed at the time to feel confident and proud of where I had chosen to live. I need to give a shout out to Jim. He is the main maintenance person at The Reserves at Pilot Butte. Jim is fantastic. He always has a smile and "hello", every time we may have crossed paths on the property. If I ever had a need for a repair, he always delivered a timely outline of what I needed and was always on time and solved any issue, (Although repair or other issues are very rare here) or at least we as tenants may not even be aware because things are resolved quickly. Jim always makes you feel at home. Well actually Jewels and everyone make you feel at home and part of a unique community. I was sad to leave (The Reserves, my Sanctuary), but I appreciate so much the place and the people who made life easier. Thank you guys! Jewels, you ROCK! If you're looking for an extremely well manicured, thoughtfully designed beautiful space and great managers & neighbors, this is Home!

Ha, I'm serious... Moving large amounts of boxes and furniture into and out of this building is hard and time consuming enough with waiting for the elevator without the burden of stopping to open the electronically locked doors after every trip to the truck. I'm astonished that she asked my employee 'Can you read?' What an insult! On top of talking down to everyone around, the audacity of this woman to claim that the door will 'break' from being held open(by doorstops provided and marked as property of 'The Plaza') has been a huge downside in my day. It is not every day that I've had to endure this woman's attitude of superiority, but it has been my burden every day that I've moved someone out or in to the building.

No a gym, no hot tub, not even cable in the common area! Our unit was FAR from being ready when we moved in..... it was dirty, un painted, carpets were not cleaned, gas was turned off, air conditioning wasn't working (we moved in the middle of August) and it took quite a long time ( over a month later) for these issues to be completely resolved. You can get a MUCH nicer home....just as good of a location and be happier someplace else!

There are numerous community functions in the lobby, a nice gym, a package room to hold personal deliveries, a large bike room, lending library and games. A great manager and maintenance man. Of course the location is the jewel. I highly recommend The Eddy.

The Eddy attempted to evict a woman with mental health problems who then publicly unalived herself…read more A few weeks later, The Eddy moved new residents into the apartment without informing the new tenants. This unit is currently vacant so be sure to ask before renting anything on the third floor. The incident was mostly brushed under the rug. Many residents saw her unalive herself. The apartments are not soundproof, and I can surprisingly here the DOWNSTAIRS neighbors making noise in the middle of the night. There is a vent that draws smoky air directly into the building, and there is a lack of ventilation that causes the smoke to concentrate in the hallways. At one point, the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate out into poor AQI and ash flying in the sky. This vent pulls in cold air in the winter and hot air in the summer, often making the temperature in the hallways slightly uncomfortable. While most residents are lovely, there is a "strange" cast of characters who live here. This included someone who was selling drugs in the building and someone who violently assaulted someone which ended in a woman being shot by police. If you are renting from out of town, know that most of the windows in the building do not open. Also, your rent is padded with extra fees. It costs $40 a month to park in the parking lot and they charge you for the electricity in the common areas of the building. We did not have a building manager for months. There were rarely community events. Amenities like the ice machine and coffee maker are broken for long periods of time. There was no building maintenance staff and repairs were not completed for quite some time, before the new maintenance man was hired. (He is a true gem and the only redeeming part of the building.) There is a constant battle with Parks and Rec over the noise coming from the Pavilion, which can be after hours or excessively loud. There is also an on-going issue with drag racers in their parking lots. Living here was a huge mistake, and I am leaving after witnessing a woman unalive herself and feeling unwell for months from smoke concentrated in the building. I am fairly sure Eddy staff are writing fake reviews and posting comments on social media as if they are residents. I lost thousands of dollars by moving into The Eddy, lost many nights of sleep and witnessed a woman unalive herself. The Eddy is so bad that it should be a news story.

Within the first week we cleaned grime and gunk from every window in the unit by hand, yet I'm betting management made sure to hit the previous tenants with the "cleaning fee" during their move-out. Maintenance did a great job creating a facade of cleanliness and orderliness of the apartment grounds by using a leaf blower to stir dust and dirt around in the stairwells, yet if you had a maintenance request in the unit, best of luck to you. During winter we had a leak in the window of the second bedroom due to all the rain and snowfall of the season and it leaked onto our furniture and personal items. Thankfully, we put in a maintenance request to get it fixed before more damage could be done. I am happy to report our maintenance request was eventually honored....in the middle of March...by one elderly crew member walking into the room and saying they would call someone to get it caulked from the outside....oh and that didn't get done for another month. Stellar job maintenance crew. In terms of management, yikes! Move out procedure was difficult as we had to call multiple times to get updates on what needed to be done for moving out. It seemed there was a clear level of disinterest in us as tenants once we were no longer providing more cashflow for the apartment owner. We spent a full day after we moved out sweeping, scrubbing, mopping the floors, cleaning the windows (we weren't gonna get dinged for window grime), vacuuming the floors, cleaning the bathrooms, you get the idea. It was real awesome getting 1/4 of our deposit back for "cleaning fees, painting fees, and carpet repair". I guess no matter what we will get charged for window grime. Don't forget I said the apartment was disgusting and grimy when we first moved in. We tried the whole "leave it better than you found it" approach but either we are blind or they are greedy. I will say we did have one cat that scratched some of the carpet in the second bedroom entry way, but $400 to repair an entry way? Maybe I should get into the carpet repair business if it's that lucrative, or maybe management is being dishonest and up-charging repairs. We were charged at a previous residence for the same thing, but to the tune of $150, which was understandable and we took responsibility without complaint. Management will bite you any chance they get to keep as much of your deposit as possible. So even though they say small nail-holes are allowed, it turns out you're going to get charged for cleaning and painting. What an absolute joke. This was a literal last resort for us and we are happy to have moved out of there. If you're a prospective tenant looking for an apartment to rent in Bend, I would caution you against renting at The Commons. This is my TED Talk on just maintenance and management alone and how they're going to rip you off given the opportunity. Next TED Talk will focus on how you can practically interject in your neighbors conversations with how thin the walls are. Don't forget the abysmal parking situation. Happy apartment hunting!
