Established in 1952.
We are a family run store that has been serving the Highlands, NC and surrounding communities for over 70 years!
In 1952 we began as one of the first rock and mineral shops in Macon County, NC. We eventually expanded our inventory to include fine jewelry, including diamond, colored stone, antique, estate and bridal, local artisan jewelry, handmade gift items, a kid’s department and more! We have a little something for everyone!
And our staff, well, they are awesome! Enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable to help make your Highlands Gem Shop shopping experience a great one.
Our building was an original Jackson county bank and that makes us a historical building. Our creaky wood floods will add to your visit with us.
