When mapping out breweries for the area, we came upon this hidden gem that we never seen on the map…read morebefore. It's located in Freeport FL just across the bridge from Destin. We definitely wanted to visit here since we thought it was a new brewery (more on that later). This place is actually in the backyard of a local High School. Kind of odd to be honest. There is a small patio on the side of the building. The front of the building was open beings it was a nice day outside. We decided to do a flight to try the beers. Out of all that we tried and sampled, my friend was a fan of the Cherry Limeade and Anchored Down was my favorite beer. After speaking with who we assumed is the owner, we learned this place has been open a few years. I even told the guy that we have came down here for the 3rd year in a row to Florida and never has this place popped up on the map or a whisper of this place was mentioned. He gave us a background on the place and the beers themselves. I also heard from another source that one of the brewers is from our Hometown of Louisville KY. We enjoyed our visit here quite a bit however it was quite a distance from where we were staying. I wish we had time to visit one more time but, maybe next time. It is definitely worth visiting.

I do which my bun had been toasted, but I bet I could ask for that next time, and they'd do it! We also shared a basket of fries. Our server was also the cook! She ran the whole place by herself. Very impressive. The food was good! Oh- and the TEA is FREE! I've never seen that before, but loved that! We noticed everyone dumped their own trash and left baskets on the table. So we followed suit. Not sure if that's the norm, or if one table did it, so the rest thought they also had to do it, so we did it? ;) but it was not a problem at all. We will definitely be back! They make their own dough in house, so I want to try their pizza next time!
