They absolutely did not disappoint. I ordered the Chasu Pork Belly tacos, and honestly they may be the best tacos I've ever had. The pork belly is slow cooked and then pan seared, giving it a rich, savory depth with just the right amount of caramelized texture. The shredded cabbage and pickled red onions add a fresh crunch and brightness that balance the richness perfectly. Sweet pops from the seared corn salsa, along with scallions and toasted sesame seeds, add great layers of flavor. What really brings it all together is the sriracha garlic lime aioli and chasu reduction, which add just the right mix of citrus, spice, and umami. The impressive part is that you can taste every ingredient individually, yet each bite comes together as one perfectly balanced taco. If you're at the Phoodery, don't skip these tacos.

Owner and chef William Snyder is a serious mycologist and local mushroom hunter who forages for the seasonal treats. He deep fries them in a delicate tempura batter and serves them with pickled onions, a siracha sauce on the side and lotus root chips. This is a "don't miss" dish with a presentation worthy of a white tablecloth big city restaurant. Wow!

This outpost is located in Historic DT Grants Pass…read more It is not a typical outpost to pick up supplies or small tourist items like magnets, stamps, shot glasses, etc. This spot sells all sorts of organic and unique foods. Local foods and international goodies like Guisness Ice Cream. They also provide funky clothing and neat t-shirts. The shopkeeper is aiite, She was more invested in speaking with locals than wondering about us tourists from a different shore, There are similar stores in the area that have a unique theme to be that spot that caters to locals but also to random monkeys meandering through. I did pick up a nifty shot glass here. Post pic later. For more random-ass travel pics... IG: cigarcpa

Usually these types of shops are chock full of cheap Made-in-China garbage which I despise! Not this shop. This shop has so many interesting and high quality items! It was wonderful wandering around, we found many t-shirts for all of us to enjoy, as well as great made in Oregon marionberry jam, and British shortbread cookies. They have a whole section with British goodies, and tons of different teas. I will definitely come back again when I am back in the area.

It's tough to see any store closing. So many lately. The people say the landlord is raising the rest more than they can handle. Sad!!
