If you are going to have a small wedding this is an amazing affordable option for you. The only issue I had was not getting everything in writing, so make sure you specifically get everything in writing so you can look back on it if there are any miscommunications. We were told we would have a rehearsal the Friday before the wedding (the wedding was on the following sunday). We were also told we could decorate after the rehearsal was over because no one was going to be in the room. On friday we called to confirm the time which was 7pm. They said they did not have a rehearsal scheduled for us and that we could not come to decorate because Firemen were having a meeting in there at the time. This was the first thing I wished I had in writing, because I know we had confirmed for that previously. After this we had to arrange for everyone to come in early on Sunday so we could still decorate and do a quick rehearsal. When we were going over the contract Royal who is their event planner said that we could stay until 8pm. When we got there suddenly it had changed to 7. He ended up later allowing us to stay until 7:30 because I think he realized he had messed a few things up for us with the rehearsal and all. We were also told by him that he had a bar tender for us and 2 servers. He ended up being the bar tender and we only ended up having one server. All and all it all worked out in the end. The decor was beautiful in the church. I was pretty relaxed for a bride so I didn't have a huge freakout or anything, but I am sure some people in the same situation would. If you are looking for a nice venue, with affordable accommodations where you have a lot of availability to provide your own things such as decor, music, food, alcohol ect. this is a good place for you. Just please do not make my mistake, whatever they offer you get it in writing! We are also pretty sure we paid the bar tender fee twice because during the contract signing we had paid for everything we agreed to, then once the wedding was wrapping up my husband was told he didn't pay the 150 bar tender fee. Side note, check their hours because it was hard to reach them over the phone when we needed something. We had to call multiple times to even schedule to make payment for our wedding.

Once you book and make that deposit, communication becomes lacking. Multiple of my guests had issues getting in contact with Alicia. Often times, Alicia would go days, or weeks, without answering if answered at all. Her "assistant" Hannah often times would respond after you've emailed multiple times and inform you that Alicia is "out of office" yet again. Thankfully I got in contact with my wedding planner from Sandals/Beaches and planned a lot of it with her through emails, because Alicia missed a lot of information and we missed out on one of the locations we really wanted due to this. We were able to pick another location, but obviously you never want to settle when it is your wedding day. The location we originally picked was not available from the beginning, which was communicated to Alicia, but never communicated to us until about 1.5 months before we were set to fly to Jamaica. What is normally stressful as a bride, was made almost unbearable by using her services. We also booked our honeymoon through Alicia, in which credits were misplaced and we also had a "free catamaran cruise" but that was never communicated to us until the resort was attempting to fix our credits on the day before departing. I reached out to Alicia due to finding her on the Sandals/Beaches website & another travel planner at the same time. Alicia charges for her services, a hefty fee, where others do not. Due to this, I thought she would be more qualified, diligent, and involved. I was very wrong. The only time Alicia was prompt with communication is when she wanted her payment toward the end of planning, when issues were still being had with getting my credits/refund. We flew out, and Alicia did not reach out to us until the morning of the wedding. Not once did she check on how things were going at the resort, mind you she also charges a large fee to fly to the resort with you and 'assist' which we opted not to do since the experience had already been extremely frustrating. On returning home, she also did not reach out. These may seem like small things but when you book a wedding with 35+ people traveling to a foreign country, you could wish them safe travels? Fortunately my wedding was great, and I'm so thankful I got in contact with the wedding planners offsite, and the onsite team was amazing. There were definitely moments that needed to be fixed last minute & unfortunately this left a very negative impact on us. I would highly recommend and suggest doing research before hiring someone like this for your biggest day, or even small travel. I have screenshots and emails from all communication. Really cool benches, great lighting, good acoustics (we had worship in the middle and he didn't need a mic), and really cool picture opportunity post ceremony for my wife and I to get some shots just the two of us! The reception space is SO cool. Long tables are awesome, people who run the place (Kristen?) are great, and the space is absolutely awesome! Great sized dance floor. Other things to note: only uses outside vendors, parking is not amazing, they have lots of good contacts (helped us with bartenders), and there's a lot of cool places around off Magnolia for people to get drinks after the rehearsal and stuff like that! HIGHLY recommend. Use Specs for alcohol because that have a great policy where you can return stuff that wasn't out on ice. That way you only pay for what you use! Best bridal suite! My wife LOVED it. Also really artsy outdoor locations for pictures. Main con: WiFi that you use for bridal suite and for the music during the ceremony is iffy. We had to use a Bluetooth speaker for the ceremony.

He was unexpectedly ordered to report to San Diego and is not able to leave his command for the event and other festivities as originally planned. They were required to cancel after it was nearly paid in full. The venue will not refund a single dollar as per their cancellation policy. The policy requires a 200 day advance notice. First - really!? 200 days? Second - she signed the contract less than 200 days from the date of the event. The venue offered to reschedule for free. Or if someone booked the venue, they could get a full refund. There's literally ONE event in all of August. We feel this is just dirty. The venue put forth zero effort and worked zero hours towards the planning of the event. They simply collected their money and said - too bad! Wouldn't it be nice to get paid for doing nothing? Any wedding gifts they were to potentially receive didn't happen and their entire savings is now gone because they had to pay for a wedding that didn't happen and furnish their new home. Before you go into contract with this venue, just understand they seem to have no sympathy for unplanned events. A to a man who is serving and protecting our COUNTRY! So sad. Curious if this has happened before.
