Not Poc or textured hair friendly. Went in with healthy hair and came out dry with a headache. Kit is rude and very aggressive when it comes to hair. As my first time sitting in a professional salon chair for my haircut, I didn't know what to expect. Krystin made a welcoming environment and explained what was happening with my hair. I'm so happy she gave me a fun twist on my chosen hair color by doing a beautiful mix of lights & darks. She also did an amazing job on my wolf cut with an undcut. It lightened up my thick heavy hair so much. She also skipped the bleach and instead did a blended ombre for my virgin roots. My hair is beautiful and feels so much lighter and healthier. To start off the location threw me off as I was looking for a building on a semi residential street. Little did I know I would be parking under a car port of a house turned into a business! After reading the amazing reviews on The Headquarters I was getting a batch of mix feelings about the place not knowing what to expect at my 8 am appointment. However Krystin Avant quickly made me feel welcomed patiently helping me pick out a certain style that I really liked after 15-25 minutes! Finally we get started after I told her to surprise me as I hadn't picked out a particular style. Needless to say Krystin is super cool and really patient with your needs. After making sure her cuts were super precise (almost OCD lol) her skills had finally put all of my worries to rest (as this was the one haircut after 3 years). I'll be back for my second appointment with her in a week. Holy smokes I can't wait because after losing confidence in myself from a failed attempt to have a relationship with a female; she's given me the confidence to pull in even the most lesbian of lesbians. ^____^ read more

My experience was terrible. 3/6/23- Booked my wedding hair and makeup appointment 11:00am. I was coming in from out of town for my son's wedding 5/27/23. On 4/7/23- I sent pictures of me, my dress, examples of the updo hairstyle and received an email back from Ashley - thanking me for the information and confirming she would give info to stylist. May 24 received text to confirm appointment and confirmed. May 26, receive call from Ashley. They need to move my appointment to 2:00pm. They have double booked and need to move me to later. They have a bridal party. I have no flexibility in my time- I am responsible for getting my 3yr old Granddaughter - the flower girl fed and with a nap before leaving to the chapel at 4:00pm. Ashley said they were "sorry" but had not other solution. So, I was kicked to the curb to find another solution. Thank you for nothing Headquaters! read more

Ruined my hair!!!! I made my appointment on line, arrived and Jordan had no idea I had an appointment. Before doing anything I told Jordan I have white hair and I have been box dying my hair for years and I would like to go back to my natural color if at all possible, she said "not today" but she could "gradually" lighten me with highlights but it would take several appointments and 6 months to a year. After telling her I've been doing my own hair since a bad hair cut at 14 she assured me she would and could do a great job, in short she burned my hair, the foil she wrapped my hair in was so hot it was burning Jordan and another girls fingers, panicked I asked if it was normal and if everything was ok both assured me it was normal and the matted bright orange locks of my hair were fine and would tone right up to a rich pretty color, my appointment was for balayage auburn highlights with a rich brown color. The pictures will clearly show the damage! This is a professional hair salon and not one person in there knew what to do or how to fix it...all they could say is "don't worry we're not charging you for this".. I CAME IN TO A PROFESSIONAL SALON PREPARED TO PAY, WITH TIP $250/$300 per visit over the next 6 months to a year...Five hours later they ruined my hair!! My son and husband had to come get me I was so upset, as I was leaving Jordan offered to condition my hair for free if I wanted to come back another time... I immediately made an appointment the next morning with Brittney at Revolution Hair Salon and Spa and they did what they could, conditioned and toned the orange strips of hair, I have short hair now on both side of my head and broken patches where my hair is just gone and they are doing extensions that they will adjust as my hair grows out...for almost $300 I gladly paid, my hair won't be anywhere near what it was any time soon but I look halfway presentable in public... read more

The worst experience I've ever had. I had an appointment at 3:30 and I clearly stated that I had to leave by 4:15. They assured me that I would be finished by then. After waiting for 35 minutes, and about to walk out of the door at 4:05, the girl calls me in and asked what type of updo I wanted. I left at 4:30 pissed because I was late for my next appointment. When I got home 15 minutes later, my hair was already falling apart as shown in the picture. The salon needs to learn to say no if they aren't able to provide the services they promised. read more

I was visiting from out of town, and she helped me combat the humidity, something I'm not used to, by pinning my hair up until my event, as well as sending me off with a shower cap in case of rain. I don't live in Lafayette and found this salon on Yelp. I was hoping for a blowout on a Monday, and being a hairstylist myself, know that most independently owned salons are closed on Mondays. The photos of the salon are what drove me in, the quality of work and the rock and roll esthetic of the salon. When I got there as soon as I walked in I was greeted with smiles and my stylist, Jordan, came out and was a total delight from start to finish. I was very impressed and felt comfortable with her obvious skill with the blowdryer and round brush. I have very thick hair and for the most part struggle to find people who can give me a great blow dry. Jordan was awesome, I highly recommend her and this salon. read more

My appointment was with Dani and she was awesome. She let me explain what exactly I wanted done with my hair. She repeated it back to me and got to work. In the end my balayage/ shadow root plus cut turned out perfect. My hair is literally just like the picture I showed her and I couldn't be any happier. Prices are great as well. This place is super cool and comfortable. They're always so nice and offer free water or coffee. The stylists are great at listening to their clients but also great at free styling it if you're looking for something neat but not quite sure what. The house it's located in is a really neat old house that I dream of living in so that helps with the atmosphere as well as the hundreds of vinyl records on the walls and soft music playing. read more
