The park also leads you to the Kettering Rec Center. I love that the park is rubber mulch. I also like the really cool and unique play structure. I do not remember the pond being so big so I feel like that has had an upgrade in the last few years. It looked nice. I'm not sure if you fish there or not. I do think they need to figure out how to get bathrooms back near where the shelters and playground are because if not you are walking up to the way front. The paths are in nice condition and connect to the neighborhoods for longer walks or runs.

The course plays on meadows near four baseball diamonds, the bike path runs through it, and through beautiful woods too. It will challenge both your longest drives and a lot of nice trees and bushes are in the way too. As there are no ladies Tees if you are playing coed or with children make sure you give appropriate handicaps. In our match, Nicole got 10-15 steps ahead of the Tee. Hole 4 was tough to locate as the website has the location map starting and ending in the middle of the field but it changed to the fringe of the forest near the bike path. You will spend a couple of hours getting through this 18 hole course. The Fall day we played there was a mix of weather conditions with a few light sprinkles and a good amount of wind, which did affect some of our throws. I posted pictures with each of the markers. Hopefully it helps. When we finished playing we say a family of four going for #10 in the middle of the field. Afterwards enjoy a beer at Harrison's (closed Sunday's!)

There are two shelter areas that are in good shape and restroom structures which is always nice over a port-o-let. The playground looks fun, but since I don't have kids, I will leave that to someone else. There are ballfields and large open spaces of grass. The trail that wanders in the woods has good traction, is wide and well maintained. It has some seriously steep inclines and hills but isn't overwhelming. It's not super long, but good for a walk with the dog or a family looking for some outdoors. There is a gorgeous creek bed that runs thru the area giving a nature photographer plenty to shoot. The disc golf course is nationally recognized and is well maintained as well. There are 24 holes to play. Many of the holes are long and challenging with ravines and trees and narrow fairways. This is a course for the skilled and novice alike. I would say the novice should stay on the front 9 but there are plenty of holes after 16 or so that are playable for the novice as well. Overall, this is a versatile and well maintained park that I encourage anyone to visit at least once.

The club no longer has staff, it's member driven with volunteer and/or donation efforts throughout the year, in addition to club dues. The MVHPC has so much more to offer than just a pool membership....there are fun things like winter and summer platform tennis leagues, hiking trails, card nights, kids movie nights, pig roasts, derby day party, Christmas dance, karaoke....etc. In 2020, we added pop up parties with live local music on the terrace (BYOB) and it was a huge hit with members. We have been members since 2017 (wish we had joined sooner!)....I don't know what we did before we joined. We love it!

Even on the busiest summer holidays, I have never struggled to find parking. There is a really nice fenced in dog area, as well as as a dog section of the beach. If it was closer, we would probably be there a lot this summer as it's a great way to cool down.

I'm not a hiker, but I found the trail to be a somewhat easy hike for a senior and the walkways and guardrails were well-maintained. There are lots of benches to sit on to take in nature, darling native plants, and plenty of interesting facts to read about along the trail. We saw photos and explanations of how the Little Miami River was used to power grist and cotton mills, paper factories, and breweries. In the information building, we were greeted by the very friendly ranger, who gave us a botanical identification brochure (it would have been very useful during the hike) and introduced us to the turtles in their enclosure. The preserve was quiet, and we enjoyed ourselves so much. This is just the start of our adventure of the Clifton Gorge, and there are so many more activities to explore. We hope to be back during another season when the water in the gorge is flowing more rapidly.

Wonderful place but it is bittersweet. Many things are SUPER over priced. Don't buy any CBD products, Detox Products, or Oil Rigs because you can get them anywhere else for half the price. I couldn't believe I paid $65 for HALF GRAM of CBD shatter. Here's a website with a FULL GRAM (like i thought I had bought until I got home), buylegalmeds.com and also they get all weird when I ask them why they don't carry fake urine yet they have all the other bunk detox products that are overpriced and don't even work. Some wonderful pipes and disc supplies but forreal they need to stop fronting like they don't promote weed products when it's obvious they do.
