Been a returning customer here for years. This is by far the longest wait we've ever had in the GA line, on weeknight at opening. From the outside, it looks like the line is "not that long." Over 2 hour wait once inside. They need let ppl know the approximate wait time when you get in line. MI Adventure. Disney. They all let you know your wait time. Perhaps we would have bought the fast pass had we known. There are other options for haunted attractions. This one is losing its appeal. read more

We paid 60 bucks for 2 normal tickets, not the worst, but expensive. We get there at 7:20-ish and we get in line,they say it's a 1 to 1 and a half hour wait. We are outside for 2 hours, longer than expected, but it doesn't madder that much. At the door, we get told it's another 1 long wait inside. We think its ridiculous, but we carry on. What we didn't know was the fast line would cut in front of everyone inside. We wait for another 1 and a half hours, which is making us go insane. When it's 10:30 (over 3 hours!), we are at the last room before we go in, and then we here a voice over the intercom " ATTENTION, A FIRE HAS BEEN SPOTTED, PLEASE EVACUATE " when we are next up. We go outside, and they say they won't give refunds, there going to close when the building gets cleared. It's was the day before the last day there open, and i have to go to work at 11:00 am. Very disappointing. While the rooms were amazingly set up and interesting to see, it was not scary at all. I go to these to be scared and did not get that experience. You enter a room and you see the people before they try and scare you, and even then they just walk around. A barrel rolled into my husband's head and I told the owner and he did ask if he was ok but that was it. I feel like more should have been done for us. read more

Had so much fun with friends screaming and laughing at the same time never felt happy and scared at the same time I would definitely recommend going with friends and family best way to kick off October but would not recommend going if you get seizures or has sensitive vision but over all best most first hunted places I've ever been to in my life but get there early. read more

I went with a group of six 20somethings here and we all enjoyed our time! It was probably a 6/10 on the scary scale. Some great animated scares, plenty of jumps, some talented actors, and a really long path of four themed mazes with pretty elaborate sets.... for a decent price of $20. The line on a Saturday night was only about 30min long, which was worth it since I feel like it took about 35-40 minutes to get through all of it. They send you in groups, but you'll end up tailing the group in front of and behind you. (Standing in front isn't ideal, you'll catch the back half of the scares!) They should bring back the zombie dance while people wait in line! I'll very likely be back next year, it was fun! read more

Waited 2 hours in line for a 30 minute walk through, all security were on some power trips, not allowed lighters wasn't told until we got to the front of the line and told us to leave the line to put them in our vehicles and get back in line; mind you the back of the line after already waiting awhile, some girl dropped her glasses leaving right by the exit and tried going back in to grab them and they told her she couldn't and they would find them afterwards and bring them to the ticket area. The old owners actually made the wait worthwhile with performances and actors coming out to scare you or take pictures but never a 2 hour wait. No potter potty's in the outside area while waiting, food vendors were the best part about it. read more

We had a blast!! the layout is amazing, the detail and work that goes into this attraction are amazing, we laughed so hard at a couple of our members because of their screams and terror as they got scared, We will be making this a annual after work experience now. The line was absolutely long. Almost 3 hours we were in line. Once we get into the building there's another line. Definitely not worth. My friends did their best to make it fun by asking silly questions to the actors. It's mostly expensive animatronics and they weren't even scary whatsoever. Absolutely disappointed. Many people looked miserable and tired. There's 5 attractions and you'd expect it to get scary right? So lame Don't waste your time on this place. read more

I took my daughter and her friends here. Kids under the 18 must be accompanied by an adult (who also has to buy a ticket). I have been to my share of haunted houses in my lifetime. The Haunt far exceeded my expectations. It was worth every penny of the $25 ticket (got a $5 discount for purchasing online). The amount of detail and effort they put into this place is incredible. The Haunt is in a strange location, basically in a strip mall. But The Haunt does a good job of transforming you once you're inside the doors. The location is fairly convenient for us and didn't require a long drive to the middle of nowhere, which made it easy for us to visit on a Thursday night. At the end of this review, I make a couple of specific comments about the attractions. I don't consider these to be spoilers because I don't give away anything that's not on The Haunt's website. But, here's a warning just in case. Other than the overflow line (which is covered), the Haunt is completely indoors. This makes it a perfect choice for nights when the weather is very cold or rainy. The biggest mistake our group made was wearing our jackets. We were a little warm once inside, so I recommend leaving your coat or jacket in the car. We bought tickets in advance for the online discount (a net cost of $26 each). We felt the price was fair for the amount of time spent and entertainment level. There are five attractions and for spacing reasons, there are sometimes lines between some of those. But generally, you go from attraction to attraction fairly continuously. We appreciated the efforts made by staff to appropriately size and space groups. The Haunt is very professionally operated. We were at the Haunt for close to 2 hours, about 45 minutes of which was waiting in the initial line. Overall, the production value was good and the actors were top notch. The makeup and costuming was flawless and the actors were more interactive with visitors which enhanced our experience. Many of the sets have animatronic components, which we found to be less scary than human actors. I'd rate The Haunt as mildly scary. It's good Halloween, spooky fun, but it never quite felt "real" enough to terrify our group. The Beasts attraction, in particular, didn't feel very authentic inside a building (although I did appreciate the set decoration and costuming). Of the five attractions this year, I found that the Vox Sanitarium had the best scares and felt the most realistic. read more

- you can't go in groups larger than 6. We went with 7 and were annoyed at first but it was actually more fun in the smaller group after all - the pacing between groups gets screwy if people in front are too slow or people behind too fast they could work on corralling groups a little better - THERE IS A STROBE LIGHT SECTION, epileptics beware -zombie dance was a tad corny it was like high school theatre so skip if you're expecting professional level dancing -they serve old school theatre type foods and pop at the end Definitely worth it! This was almost too much for me but I don't do scary things well. read more

I bought tickets in advance on line for this event. When I showed up to use the tickets, I was told that I would have to wait more than three hours before I could get in. The wait was standing in a cold parking lot (about 45 degrees). I asked the attendant if I could get a refund because we had other commitments that evening and couldn't spend three hours in a parking lot waiting. They said I could get a refund by requesting one via email. When I did so, I received a very rude response refusing any refund. Needless to say, this place treats its customers like trash. Impressive! Right amount of scary! Super fun! This is definitely one of the better Halloween attractions worth visiting way better than the ones I've been to in California. Full on theatrics, set design, realistic dancers/actors, not cheesy like I expected. Not for little kids like I imagined, I'd say 14+ could handle it I'm in my mid-30's and got scared! You sure get your money's worth as there are 3 attractions included the 3D wheel thing is a trip! my friends were highly entertained by me clutching for my life haha There's parking for only $2 I recommend carpooling and going with a group of friends. If you don't like crowds (like me) I recommend going before Halloween week during the weekdays, plus they offer discount coupons on the Saver magazines and online that you can take advantage of ;) read more

Disappointing. Not worth the $20, even for all three attractions. While waiting in line it's nice they have the mini shows w/live actors but no one walks around scaring you. That's prime time to get people amped up before they walk through the main part. Minus 1. Scare timing was off. I'm not going to be startled after the fact. If I pass by and the actor just stands there then what's the point? Minus 1. At the end when you're walking through pretty much complete darkness NO ONE is there to scare you. That is probably one of THE BEST times to scare people with their senses heightened. And yet, not a person was scared. Minus 1 again. I've been to The Haunt a few times throughout the years and can say I've been impressed with their showcase. This year was pathetic. After the main Haunt my friends and I walked through the 3D clown thing.. again.. not scary. Not a single clown scared us. Not to say they didn't look creepy but, it just wasn't up to par. The last attraction we went through was the Ghost Town. While handing my ticket to the actor I stated to him "This better be scary!" After a little banter back and forth he called out to the actors in the maze to "make it scary for M & her friends, she doesn't think you're going to be scary" Even with that, no scares were had. As a patron you go to things like this with the expectations to be startled, scared and scream a few blood curdling screams because that's what makes it fun. Not having experienced that made for a disappointing adventure. I doubt I will go back to The Haunt being as this was supposed to be their best "show" to date. read more

We drove out from Detroit to check out The Haunt on a Sunday night...Sadly disappointed...I think it had the potential of being good, but they were just herding people through like a bunch of cattle. We went as a group at two we got forced to go with another group of five (which I think it is wrong to be made to go with strangers, they should tell you before you buy tickets there is a minimum # for a group so you don't waste your $60 )ended up with three more from another group that showed up part way into the haunt ( no "crowd control" by the actors to keep people spaced out) and then at one point we had over 12 in the group so we didn't get much of the scare effect whatsoever.When we were in the front of our line the "scare" didn't start until we were leaving the room....when we went to the back of the group the scare was resetting by the time we got in...) They were packing people so close together that at some points the actors just stood there doing nothing...it kind of reminded me of how Erebus has gotten over the years.....Its like its all about how many people they can charge to cram in and rush out vs giving a quality show. read more

Don't waste your $ For years this attraction was the main Halloween scare event around greater GR, and for good reason: it exceeded adult expectations of the traditional 'spookhouse attraction'... authentic chill factors, creeping scares, state of the art effects and awesome set designs. Not to mention great pre-show dancers. It was definitely not for young kids. CURRENT: These last 3 seasons have been a MAJOR disappointment. Somehow they totally reversed to a more family-friendly atmosphere - without warning or explanation. BIG mistake. No more walking or creeping scarers. the outdoor maze was dim instead of completely dark - which ruined the scare-factor point. The main attraction was lame also: instead of complete darkness, it was dimly lit. Too many lame twists n turns, actors who couldn't scare to save their life, and some who tried to scare while hiding in a lit area - which made no sense. Shoot 1 of our own group actually jumped out and scared others, because the actors couldn't. Just plain ridiculous. Needless to add, none of us was impressed. In fact, a few times we almost LOL at the total lameness. In the refreshment area at the end, we actually overheard some guests complain or comment to the host about the change. The response, 'toned down' in order to bring in families. Well... goodbye HAUNT. It was good while it lasted. We spend $ to get scared--and expected to be scared. We won't be returning. read more

Fantastic experience! Well worth the price ($20/person). I am easily frightened but I highly enjoyed the thrill of the haunted house. I would DEFINITELY recommend going in costume. It made it really easy for characters to interact with me (Mary Poppins was my costume) and call me out specifically. I had a blast- it was the right amount of scary. I wasn't traumatized, but I was definitely frightened a few times! I liked the outdoor and indoor aspect, so we could experience a lot for the price. The outdoor was terrifying as it was hard to see where to walk, indoors it's pretty obvious. We can't wait to head back next year. Also: the characters (clown by the entrance on Halloween evening) was hilarious and graciously took a photo with us which made our night even better. Thank you!! read more

They had some good props, especially the gargoyle guy. That is the only positive thing I can say. There was no spacing in between groups creating way less opportunities for the props/actors to really scare anyone. The waiting outside is boring (unlike the old location which provided actors and dancers while waiting in line), luckily we had the fast pass so our wait was minimal. There were large lulls in time that nothing happened and you were left with just semi spooky hallways to walk through but they were not even that spooking when you consider that your so jam packed in that it's like being in line to a roller coaster at a major amusement park. It felt like there was a 1/3 of the actors compared to the old location. The VIP experience is a complete waste of money as the food/refreshments/dancers are at the end and lackluster at best. Stop with the upgrades after fast pass as the additional $15 is definitely not worth it. The new location provides less than ideal setting while waiting in line to be scared as you are fully surrounded by shopping parking lots and other stores. This by far has been the worst haunted attraction that I can remember going to. It is quite sad as I used to enjoy The Haunt at its old location and I probably won't be back. read more

We waited about an hour in line just to get into 144 rooms and five different themes, but it was totally worth it! As we walked through the rooms, all the great actors made me think that I was in a movie due to how good they scared us. Three other people went with me and I knew that was good idea because the smaller the group, the more we all got scared at the same time. At the end of all the rooms, some of the haunt workers were there to ask what we thought about it all and to tell us that we could stay to watch the dancers, which was super nice to have an after show after getting scared! So much better than the one last year and it is closer to a lot of people in Michigan! The haunt was a great experience! read more

Sorry, Mr Tinkles, this years Haunt was just so-so. Maybe it was an off night. First, I think I can call our group experienced fans of haunted attractions, been going to several a year for over 20 years. Went on Sunday, so crowd was not ridiculous but still spent more than 45 minutes in line. Definitely could use more signs pointing to the venue. Sets and costuming was very good, except lighting was too low in many places to appreciate it. It doesn't have to be totally dark to be scary, in fact, a well planned use of light enhances the experience. The other main problem though was pushing people through in groups of 7, and not enough time between groups. We had 4 in our group, forced in with group of 3 teen boys....the 1st couple people might have a little scare but the other half of the group is pretty much left out. Groups of 1-4 work much better. All in all, did not live up to expectations. read more

Honestly, after reading reviews I wasn't expecting much. Yes, lines were long, but strike up a conversation with some fun people, and it will make your experience that much better. We thought the indoor attraction was really well done. There were lots of monsters roaming the lines and scaring people. Sure, how scary it is will be different for everyone, but we had a great time. The outdoor maze was super short and not that scary, but the two together made it a good experience. My biggest complaint was that they charge for parking! Not that $2 is anything, but come on - you're asking people to pay $21-$31 for a ticket (and most people come with multiple people in the car), there are no other parking options around, and you can't offer free parking? read more

I was not pleased with the haunt this year. The ticket prices are insane. You "can save $5 by buying online" but they charge a service fee of a dollar, so you're actually only saving $4... When we arrived the new owner was outside telling people which lines to be in. He told my group we would be waiting three hours to get in! He told us he would be a nice guy, and let us go back to the ticket booth and pay the additional ten dollars to get fast passes, which would mean we would only wait about thirty minutes. He was also going off on how he put over a million dollars into the place and made it ten times better than before. (Which is was not) We decided we were just going to wait it out. We waited outside for maybe fifteen minutes outside, and literally only thirty inside. As if, we had to wait three hours!? He was totally just trying to sell fast passes! The inside was so over decorated, there were lights everywhere so there was hardly any anticipation when you could see everything. The acting wasn't even that great.
